DAY 1: MONDAY 4TH JANUARY, 2021
FOCUS: PURITY AND POWER IN THE FAMILY
TEXTS: MICH. 3:8; HEB. 12:14
Purity is the inner pure life approved by God and power is the ability
to perform it in God’s strength; doing exploit in kingdom’s
business.
To live a holy life is our declaration to God that “I am for you”,
when the entire family is living a pleased life with God, He will be
proud of them Heb. 11:16 “But now they desire a better, that
is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be
called their God, for He has prepared a city for them”.
Purity and power goes together, they are like iron and magnet,
holiness will always attract power. If you want power, live a holy
life!
Joseph lived a life of purity and God released power of dream and
favour into his life (Gen. 39:4-9) “So Joseph found favor in his
sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his
house, and all that he had he put under his authority.
5 So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of
his house and all that he had, that the LORD blessed the
Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the
LORD was on all that he had in the house and in the field.
6 Thus he left all that he had in Joseph's hand, and he did
not know what he had except for the bread which he ate.
Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance.
1Sa 16:12
7 ¶ And it came to pass after these things that his master's
wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, "Lie with
me."
8 But he refused and said to his master's wife, "Look, my
master does not know what is with me in the house, and he
has committed all that he has to my hand.
9 "There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he
kept back anything from me but you, because you are his
wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin
against God?"
Daniel chose purity and he became a great prophet of God. The
angel of God called him beloved. Dan. 9:22-23. “22 And he
informed me, and talked with me, and said, "O Daniel, I
have now come forth to give you skill to understand.
23 "At the beginning of your supplications the command
went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly
beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the
vision:”
In this family; no sin is approved. We exist to please God, if there
is any member of this family struggling with any sin, he or she shall
be delivered in full today.
Achan in the family can bring complete destruction to the entire
family, so sin must be rebuked to the least Joshua 7:24-25.
QUESTION/DISCUSSION
1. Is there anybody with questionable character in this family?
2. Do you easily take correction or you sometimes revolt?
3. What are the areas do you think the family should correct?
4. What are the good areas the family should continue in doing?
Prayer Points Acts 1:8; Mark 16:17-18
1. O God, thank you for all your kindness to this family
2. O God, forgive our family sins.
3. Father, let every yoke of sin be broken in our family.
4. Power of purity, fill every member of this family in Jesus
name.
5. In Jesus name, we receive power from above to do great
things for God.
6. We take victory over satan, sin and flesh in Jesus name.
7. Every member of this family shall not fail God in Jesus name.
8. No way for the spirit of abortion.
9. No way for the spirit of fornication.
10. No way for the spirit of lesbianism.
11. No way for the spirit of homo-sexuality
12. No way for any demonic spirit.
13. Holy Ghost fire, re-baptize us afresh.
14. Every other strange power, bow in Jesus name
15. No any generational curse shall have power any longer
over this family in Jesus name.
