PERDITION IN THE HOUSE: Reality show (BBNaija) against our social norms, ethics and morals

PERDITION IN THE HOUSE: Reality show (BBNaija) against our social norms, ethics and morals

I cannot go to your homes to stop your children, wives and yourselves from watching the infamous Tv reality show (BBNaija). But i can put down this reminder for those who love to be reminded. This TV show is displaying nudity and sex scenes on our screens and our children are watching it and even paying for its display cost inside our own homes.

Regardless of your faith, Muslim or Christian. This reality show is against our social norms, ethics and morals. It violates our sanctity, culture and religious values. The least one can do is to block the channels that show it on your TV. Then remind yourself and your family about the danger of nudity and obscene images.

I implore Nigerian government and the agency responsible for censoring nude contents in movies to step in and ban this tv show in Nigeria. Yes, Nigeria is a secular society, however, it is not an animal kingdom where people do things anyhow. If action is not taken, our children will be exposed to sex and rape at a very young age and violence will flourish in our society.

O God, bear witness that I have disengage and disassociate myself from this TV show. When you send your punishment on law breakers exempt us O God. Amin.

Two incidents about the loss of a pencil!

Two incidents about the loss of a pencil!

The first case of the missing pencil:

One robber says: Once, when I was in 4th class, I lost my pencil. When I came home I told my mother about it, as a punishment she hit me and scolded me. She called me stupid, irresponsible and much more. As a result of my mother's harsh behaviour, I made up my mind that I would not go to my mother empty-handed, so I decided to steal the pencils of my classmates.

The next day, I made a plan and I didn't stop stealing one or two pencils but stole the pencils of all my class fellows. At first,  I used to be afraid, but with time I got confident and more fearless. After doing so for a month, I lost the thrill. Then, I decided to go to the next class. I went from one class to another, and finally I went to the school principal's room.

It was a year of practical experience in which I learned to steal both theoretically and practically and then I became a professional bandit.

*The second case of the missing pencil:*

One mother says: When my son was in second grade, he lost his pencil at school, so when he came back.

I asked him: Then what did you write with?

He said: I borrowed a pencil from my classmate.

I said: Ok, but what did your classmate expect from you, when he gave you his pencil to write? Did he ask you for anything to drink or eat or any money?

He said: No, he didn't do that.

I told him: My son, he has earned a lot of good deeds for himself. Thus he is better than you. How can you allow him to be better than you? So why don't you do such good deeds as well?

He said: How can I do that?

I suggested: Let's buy two pencils. You can use one pencil and we will call the other pencil *Love your neighbour!!!* and if any one forgets to bring his pencil, or if he loses it, you can give the pencil to him, and take it back when he completes his work.

My son was very happy with this idea and was delighted  when he acted on it. He kept one pencil in his bag for himself and six pencils, as *Love your neighbour* !!

The strangest thing about this incident was that my son did not like going to school and he was weak as a student. Then when he worked on this idea, he started to love his school.

The reason was that he became the star of the class and all the teachers recognized him and all his classmates praised him for his caring nature.

Whoever lost his pencil, took a pencil from him and when the teachers found out that someone is not writing because he does not have a pencil, they called out, "Where is the one who keeps extra pencil?"

As a result, my son fell in love with the school and gradually got better at studies.

And the best part of it is that today by the grace of God he completed his education, got married, has children, but he still has not forgotten *Love your neighbour* And today he is in charge of the biggest welfare society in our city!

A great lesson for mothers:

Giving children positive thinking not only improves their worldly deeds and character but also the hereafter, whereas, negative thinking on the contrary, leads to the downfall in wordly deeds and as well as the hereafter.

That is why mothers have a great role to play in shaping the characters and morals of nations.

How important is the childhood period as some life's experiences either lead the child to the right path, or he goes astray.

*While cooking, make a little more so that you can send it to someone else!*

*Take an extra pair of clothes and give it to someone else!*

*When buying vegetable, fruit, flour, take some extra that you can give to someone else!*

*When you go out, keep some change with you to help someone!*

*With your children's fees include one more for someone else!*

*Sometimes, even if you are sad, smile while meeting others, probably that smile will help someone!*
