PRESS STATEMENT-- The Painful Truths About The Ekweremadu Travails

PRESS STATEMENT-- The Painful Truths About The Ekweremadu Travails

By SKC Ogbonnia

November 2022

For obvious reasons, I had resisted every press inquiry on Senator Ike Ekweremadu —both local and foreign--since he was detained in the United Kingdom on the allegation of organ harvesting. The most relative reason is that our African basic norms dictate that we show empathy for the adversities of others--whether friends or foes. However, I am provoked to offer the following statements of fact because of the crude timing of the attempt by the Federal Government of Nigeria to seize the properties believed to be proceeds of corrupt practices that belong to Mr. Ekweremadu.

1) IS EKWEREMADU CORRUPT? Yes, very, very! A partial testament is his shameless acquisition of 40 properties scattered around the globe. In fact, I had always told the senator in his face and written extensively on how he used his time in the Senate to collude with contractors to loot the funds budgeted for several public projects in Igbo land. These, of course, include Enugu/Onitsha, Enugu/Port-Harcourt, and Oji-River/Awgu roads, which have continued to claim many innocent lives. A simple scan of the internet on my name alongside Ekweremadu will show more, including a library, water, and road projects that were looted in my hometown of Ugbo, Enugu State.

2) SELECTIVE WAR ON CORRUPTION: I am well-known for promoting serious consequences for bad behavior. But the timing of Ekweremadu’s punishment is crudely selective. Mr. Ekweremadu is by no means more corrupt than other Senators of his time, notably David Mark and Abubakar Saraki, and co. More curiously, Ekweremadu’s degree of corruption is a pint in the ocean compared to that of Senator Bola Tinubu. Oddly, the same Tinubu is the current presidential candidate of no other party than the party of the current Nigerian government that is determined to convict Mr. Ekweremadu in absentia. Ike Ekweremadu is definitively NOT more corrupt than Senators Chimaroke Nnamani, Orji Kalu, Hope Uzodinma, Godswill Akpabio, and many others who equally have pending cases at the EFCC but presently being embraced by the same Federal Government to promote the candidacy of the same Tinubu.

3) WHY EKWEREMADU REMAINS IN JAIL: Ordinarily, Ike Ekweremadu, a three-time Nigerian Deputy Senate President, former Speaker of Ecowas Parliament, and a serving senator—for that matter--would not be denied bail in the United Kingdom. Neither this man nor his wife is a flight risk. The objective fact is that the Nigerian government is behind the senator’s continued detention. What must not elude the thinking faculty of fellow Nigerians is that President Buhari is shamelessly vengeful. He is very shameless about the extent he travels to perpetrate vendetta politics. Buhari will never forgive Abubakar Saraki and Ekweremadu whom he perceives as the diabolic duo that hijacked the Legislature to frustrate his first term agenda as a democratic president. If Buhari can, for the first time in Nigeria’s socio-political history, discard a well-known convention by excluding Saraki, a former President of the Senate, from a recent traditional National Honors award, one can then imagine what awaits Ekweremadu, an Igbo for that matter.

4) WHO BELLS THIS CAT? Sadly, not sure! Since the Ekweremadu saga broke, I have had ceaseless calls from all over the world, calling me prophetic. One of the perceived prophesies is that I never ceased to tutor the senator on the genius of the adage: “A tree does not make a forest.” I even reminded him on several occasions that a day like this could come. I warned the senator to consider that none of his political associates from his area (entire Old Awgu Division) has the influence, capacity, or the status to bail or even speak for him should he be arrested. (Awgu is one of the three old divisions that make up Enugu State). The point here is that, unlike his crooked colleagues, such as Senators Chimaroke Nnamani and Bola Tinubu, who excelled in elevating their associates, Senator Ike Ekweremadu made sure that none of his political associates from his area could rise or shine. He could not even recommend any of them as an ambassador, chairman of Board of any major parastatal, or a minister, let alone helping any of them to become a federal contractor. In fact, the senator is the owner of the construction firm that executes the projects he attracted to his constituency.

The man wanted to be all and all in the area since 1999. He even waged war against few of us outside his realm of control who have the capacity and willpower to oppose his primitive accumulation of wealth, as well as his seductive despotism. He went as far as sponsoring fiendish activities, targeting our families and businesses. Put it this way: the three-time Deputy Senate President and former Speaker of Ecowas Parliament had his knee on the neck of our people for over two decades.

5. WAY FORWARD: To garner broad sympathy and support, Ekweremadu must toe the line of Father Ejike Mbaka by retracting his sardonic statements on Mr. Peter Obi’s candidacy, which happened few days before his London palaver.

Any person, and Igbo for that matter, who nurses any motive to sabotage a path to a fair, just, and progressive nation readily attracts the wrath of the gods of Nigerian youths, as well as progressive minds. This truth is that our country has hit the rock-bottom, but our God has remained faithful by presenting us with two simple choices to finally get it right through the 2023 elections. It is a clear case of Evil Vs Good, in this case quintessential twin crooks (Tinubu and Atiku) Vs Peter Obi! For now, Ekweremadu is stuck in the middle: His crooked colleagues have already abandoned him while the masses view him with suspicion. He must, therefore, atone and openly choose good over evil.

The NEXT move is forgiveness and brotherhood. As Ekweremadu’s powerful friends from the outside have conspicuously abandoned him, the good people of Old Awgu Division (Greater Awgu) need to take a cue from an Igbo proverb made popular by the Oriental Brothers International Band: When a dead body begins to rotten and smell, the relatives are called to rise and take charge.

I have fully forgiven Senator Ike Ekweremadu and hereby call on the good people of Greater Awgu home and abroad—both friends and foes—to also forgive him. We should unite and wage a vigorous campaign for both social and legal defense of Ekweremadu both in Nigeria and United Kingdom. Let us remember that we squandered 23 years’ worth of political capital on one man and must not allow the same man to rotten away in prison. I am confident that he will learn from these travails and change to become a better leader. A free Ekweremadu can still capitalize on his huge wealth and broad connections towards the greater good of Greater Awgu people. I am also pledging full support for this move, financially and otherwise.

Sincerely,

Former Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s rise to the top job in Britain marks a historic moment

Former Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s rise to the top job in Britain marks a historic moment

Former Chancellor Rishi Sunak, who warned that Liz Truss’s economic plans for Britain were a “fairy tale,” is now the new Prime Minister of the UK taking over the world’s sixth-biggest economy at a time of deep financial and political turbulence.

Mr. Sunak’s rise to the top job in Britain marks a historic moment.

The grandson of Indian immigrants to Britain, the 42-year-old will be the first person of color and the first Hindu to lead the U.K. He will also be the youngest prime minister since Robert Banks Jenkinson, Earl of Liverpool, in 1812.

The former hedge-fund manager arrives with a mandate to bring calm to the ruling Conservative Party following a period of unparalleled chaos that will see the country run by three prime ministers in seven weeks—a first for the U.K.

Mr. Sunak takes over from Ms. Truss, who became the shortest-serving prime minister in British history after her flagship economic program to stimulate the economy with tax cuts at a time of high inflation was rejected by investors, causing the pound to sink to a record low and the Bank of England to intervene in bond markets to stabilize the price of U.K. government debt. RESIGNATION: UK's Liz Truss and Nigeria's APC Maladministration - Femi Ogunsanwo

RESIGNATION: UK's Liz Truss and Nigeria's APC Maladministration - Femi Ogunsanwo

Liz Truss the British Prime Minister resigned from her role as Tory Leader and will stay in her role as PM until a new leader is chosen by the party who will take over from her in coming days

There is a lesson here for African leaders, there is nothing like sit-tight leaders or leading because of sentiments, if you are not competent enough and unable to usher in effective and virile leadership, your best option is resignation

Kudos to Liz Truss for taking the bull by the horn resigning after 6 weeks in office after the latest fiasco on economic front and leadership crisis

If there should be general election today, its given that Conservative Party is toast for dinner, British people will vote overwhelmingly against the party, coupled with Scottish Parliament asking for break away from United Kingdom. 2022, is an interesting political year in United Kingdom.

Update;

In less than two months after she assumed office as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Liz Truss has resigned from office.

Ms Truss announced her resignation on Thursday during a press briefing outside Downing Street

More than a dozen parliamentarians from her Conservative Party had called for her resignation amidst nationwide economic challenges.

At least two members of her cabinet have also had to resign from office.

Ms Truss said she was resigning because she could not deliver the mandate she was elected for.

She noted she had notified the British monarch, who is the head of state, of her resignation as Tory leader.

There will be an election to choose a new prime minister in the coming week, Ms Truss said. She will remain in the position until then.

Her resignation comes after she met the chairperson of the 1922 Committee of backbench as calls for her resignation intensified.

Ms Truss’s government came under pressure and doubt when her former chancellor, Kwasi Kwarteng, announced the mini-budget which threw the country into financial turmoil.

On Wednesday, the Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, announced her resignation saying she sent official documents from her personal email.

Ms Truss becomes the shortest-serving prime minister with 45 days in office.

Exclusive: Admiral Group Nigeria, a Scam- Cardiff Office Confirmed, EFCC, others should note

The Admiral Group Nigeria which claimed to be a branch of the main Admiral Group headquartered in Cardiff, United Kingdom has been confirmed to be a scam.

The Admiral group (ADM) office in Cardiff earlier in an exclusive telephone conversation with the Group Admin of Latest News Dele Abiola said, the company has no branch in Nigeria and that the company has offered no online job opportunities for anyone. (The UK company was reached via it's public telephone number: +44 333 220 2062)

Also in a reply to the message queries on the Instagram page of the group, ADM  said it has no branch in Nigeria. The Cardiff company denied having anything doing with the website and app link (https://adm56.com) With which Nigerians have been offered online scam job.

However, while the Cardiff office denied having any branch in Nigeria and refuted the web and app link, the profile message of the scam site says otherwise.

(Updated)
The scam site has been using more than three different account numbers to collect money from those buying into their online scam job. Out of the three account numbers, only one looks company while the other two are individuals.

The ADM Nigeria which plans to celebrate it's 5th year anniversary in Lagos by January 15th 2022 account to the latest announcement on the website and app has been defrauding and collecting money from unsuspecting Nigerians base on it's designed VIP levels.

The NIGERIA ADM also assigned online daily tasks per each level to make it look real as each subscriber has a numbers of tasks and prices attached also per  each level:

The online site stopped honouring withdrawal request of it's online employees in December citing banks closures for  Christmas and new year holidays. (This against the internet banking services) It promised to resume payment by January 4th 2022.

Instead of resuming payment on the said date, it cancelled all pending withdrawal orders of the employee subscribers. ADM then asked all employees to pay personal income tax of 7% upfront for three months before withdrawal can be made and honoured. According to the info on the online site and it's app, such was the request of an agency in the Nigeria's federal ministry of finance.

It also added that the verification of the individual app/web account will be done by the Nigeria's Central Taxation Bureau.

This is the usual practice in all governmental , public and private organizations in Nigeria.

Reaching out to most of the ADM Nigeria admins on phones and via WhatsApp messages for clarifications and request for the government's paper (s) for such their actions, while most of their phone numbers were perpetually switch off,  some refused to pick calls and one of them threatening to be an herbalist,  others who choose to respond have neither been able to provide any clarification or any government paper of instructions to such effect  as members of their groups were also demanding to see such information they received from Nigeria's Central Taxation Bureau as claimed by ADM.

The least invested amount of money paid into those accounts to secure the said  online job  is #17,000 with the highest been #6,800,000

Some who have considered themselves been scammed have reached out to the EFCC on the Eagle Eye app.

Sarah Everard Murder: How Wayne Couzens admitted murder, kidnap and rape

Sarah Everard Murder: How Wayne Couzens admitted murder, kidnap and rape

Sarah Everard was handcuffed by her murderer as he pretended to arrest her for breaching Covid guidelines.

Met Police officer Wayne Couzens abducted her as she walked home from a friend's house in Clapham on 3 March.

Couzens showed his warrant card before restraining Ms Everard, 33, putting her in his hire car and driving away.

His sentencing hearing at the Old Bailey was told that her ordeal could be summarised as "deception, kidnap, rape, strangulation, fire".

The 48-year-old had worked on Covid patrols in January, the court heard, and so would have known the appropriate formal terms regarding potential breaches.

The whole kidnapping took less than five minutes.

Ms Everard was handcuffed at 21:34 GMT and four minutes later she was being driven to Dover, where Couzens transferred her to his own car.

Couzens then drove to a remote rural area he knew well, where he raped Ms Everard. The sexual predator had clocked off from a 12-hour shift that morning.

Prosecutor Tom Little QC said Couzens must have taken Ms Everard's mobile phone from her and removed the sim card, which he tried to destroy.

Ms Everard was described by a former long-term boyfriend as "extremely intelligent, savvy and streetwise" and "not a gullible person", the court heard.

He could not envisage her getting into a car with someone she did not know "unless by force or manipulation", Mr Little said.

The abduction was witnessed by a couple travelling past in a car, but they "assumed Ms Everard must have done something wrong", the court was told.

One of the witnesses described a woman on the pavement who appeared to have her left arm behind her back and "was in the process of giving her other arm behind her back" as a man in dark clothing handcuffed her.

Mr Little said they believed they were witnessing an undercover police officer arresting a woman.

The exact time Ms Everard was killed could not be determined, although she was dead - strangled with Couzens' police belt - by about 02:30 on 4 March, when he stopped for snacks at a service station.

He then visited Hoads Wood near Ashford, Kent, leaving just before sunrise. Later that morning, he threw Ms Everard's mobile phone into a channel at Sandwich, where it was found by a police diver.

Wayne Couzens shuffled into court his head bowed. Wearing a dark blue suit he confirmed his name.

Sarah's parents, and other family members, are in court listening to horrendous details about their daughter's kidnap, rape and murder.

In the public gallery many of her friends have also come to court to support them.

Three members of her family will read out statements this afternoon about how her murder has affected them.

The prosecutor said her murder was reported on social media as #shewasonlywalkinghome but the more appropriate five words to describe what Couzens did were "deception, kidnap, rape, strangulation and fire".

In UK, Bawa Calls on World Leaders to Rise to the Challenge of Fighting Corruption

In UK, Bawa Calls on World Leaders to Rise to the Challenge of Fighting Corruption

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has called on leaders across the world to rise to the challenge of fighting corruption to enhance global economic development and security.

He made the appeal on Friday September 10, 2021, while presenting a paper entitled, “Combating of Crime, Corruption and implication for Development and Security”, at the 38th Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime, organized by the Center for International Documentation on Organized and Economic Crime (CIDOEC), Jesus College, University of Cambridge,, United Kingdom.

According to the EFCC boss who was represented by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Sambo Mayana, economic and financial crimes including corruption, which manifest in various forms in different nations, are at the core of global development and security challenges. Citing a report by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development OECD, he noted that, “Resources that could support a country’s development are lost through criminal acts like corruption, tax evasion, money laundering, and others.

“The “spoiler” effects on countries’ development processes are diverse, and particularly severe for fragile states: economic crime, including illicit financial flows, diverts much needed resources needed to rebuild countries’ public services, from security and justice to basic social services such as health and education”.

The EFCC chair said the absence of substantial improving in the living condition of the people in Africa and the rest of the developing countries, in spite of their natural resources endowment, can be blamed on pervasive economic crimes taking place in these countries.

“The incidence of illegal mining, smuggling of goods, tax evasion, illegal oil bunkering, illegal arms deals just to mention but a few does not allow the government to receive the full accruals from the continent’s vast resources that are needed for development. The revenue generated are embezzled by government officials and their collaborators in the private sector. This does not allow for economic growth and by extension a hindrance to development”, he said.

Speaking on the Nigerian experience, Bawa disclosed that over N 6 Trillion has been expended so far on the war against terrorism in Nigeria since 2008 while about N5.4 Trillion was lost to tax evasion by multi-nationals corporations operating in the country from 2011 – 2021. This is aside the theft of resources in the nation’s oil and gas sector.

The EFCC chair however noted that all hope was not lost as the country, under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, has demonstrated commitment and political will in dealing with the issue of economic crimes through a number of legislative and institutional reforms.

At the level of the EFCC as the central agency coordinating the fight against economic crime in Nigeria, Bawa said the agency has been up front.in tackling the malaise with tremendous successes. According to him, records show that as at August 2021, the EFCC has well over 3408 convictions

“From the time I took over as the Executive Chairman, on the 5th of March 2021, we have recovered over N6 billion, over $161 million, over £13,000, €1,730, 200 Canadian dollars, CFA 373,000, ¥8,430 and 30 Real Estates. We have arrested over 1500 internet fraudsters, many of whom are being prosecuted,” he added.

UK Prime Minister: "It's clear" there will be a new government in Kabul "very shortly'

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson says it is clear there will be a new government in place in Afghanistan "very shortly."

“It’s clear there is going to be very shortly a new government in Kabul, or a new political dispensation, however you want to put it,” he said in an interview on Sunday.

Johnson went on to call on the UK’s allies in the West to “work together” to make sure Afghanistan does not become the breeding ground for terrorism that it once was.

“I think it’s very important that the west, collectively, should work together to get over to that new government, be it by the Taliban or anybody else, that nobody wants Afghanistan once again to be a breeding ground for terror,” he said. “We don’t think that it’s in the interests of the people of Afghanistan that it should lapse back into that.”

“We don’t want anybody bilaterally recognizing the Taliban, we want a united position amongst all the like-minded, as far as we can get one,” he added.

Johnson described the situation in Afghanistan as “extremely difficult” and worsening, adding that, in his view, the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan was expected.

“I think it’s fair to say the US decision to pull out has accelerated things,” he explained. “We’ve known for a long time this was the way things were going.”

The British prime minister added that his government’s priority was first and foremost to UK citizens and Afghan support staff that helped the UK over the past two decades.

“Our priority is to make sure we deliver on obligations to UK nationals in Afghanistan, to all those who have helped the British effort in Afghanistan over 20 years and to get them out as fast as we can,” he said, adding that the UK ambassador was working around the clock.

“Two thousand have left, we’re going to get as many as we can in the next few days,” he concluded.

#HarassBuhariOutofLondon Still SEARCHING FOR BUHARI IN LONDON

#HarassBuhariOutofLondon Still SEARCHING FOR BUHARI IN LONDON

Nigerian President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari is in London and Nigerians in London are searching for him.  BUHARI MUST GO!.

The Country's Citizens are Searching for Buhari in UK as He Shuns Abuja House Over Protests

Buhari, who is currently in the United Kingdom, according to reports, has shunned the Abuja House where he usually stays in order to avoid the crowd of Nigerian protesters who have mobilised to the venue.

According to SaharaReporters some of the protesters said that Buhari, who left Nigeria on Monday to attend the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE) 2021-2025 in the UK, was not sighted at the Abuja House, raising suspicion that the President had diverted to a private mission.

Buhari’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, in a release on Monday had said the president would remain in London for two weeks to enable him undergo his earlier scheduled medical checkup.

“We are at the Abuja House in London; we have stationed here since Buhari left Nigeria to continue the #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon protests, because Nigerians cannot be suffering insecurity, bad governance and all and the President will be hibernating here.

“But Buhari did not come here. We don’t know where he is staying,” a source stated.

“Let Nigerians in London fish him out. We want to know where Buhari has privately gone to. He needs to know that Nigerians in UK are eager to meet him and send him back. He cannot escape our protests,” another London-based Nigerian stated.

Dear citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who are based in London,

#HarassBuhariOutofLondon needs your help. Since arriving London yesterday, Buhari has avoided Abuja House for fear of being harassed out of London. Please help us smoke him out. As you go about your daily activities, keep an eye out for him and report his location to us by reaching us on social media with the above hashtag.

Do your civic duty and let us chase this irresponsible tyrant back home to go and build hospitals for our people. If he has $1.9 billion to build a railway for his first cousins in Niger Republic at our expense, he definitely has more than enough money to build hospitals for ordinary Nigerians.

Thank you and may God bless you!

IGBOHO IN THE LAST 21 HOURS, STRUGGLE METHODS AND WHY WE MUST DOCUMENT HISTORY PROPERLY

IGBOHO IN THE LAST 21 HOURS, STRUGGLE METHODS AND WHY WE MUST DOCUMENT HISTORY PROPERLY

British warning Fulanis to forget about  past relationship with Britain and try to get along in Nigeria

Igboho

“Hello Femi. I have been trying to reach Sowore. Tell him Igboho has just been arrested in Benin Republic. Let this be out as soon as possible please.” This was the call I received in the early hours of today, Tuesday, 20th July 2021 from an ally of Chief Sunday Adeyemo, a.k.a Sunday Igboho. It was exactly 1.14am, believed to be about 15 minutes after he was arrested.

I am putting this forward because I have noticed that our lackluster stance towards documenting happenings clearly has opened rooms for a lot of retrogressive debates.

It is verifiable that Sahara Reporters published the story FIRST before any media outfit, locally or internationally. Immediately I got the call, I reached out to the appropriate quarters to get the story out. Expectedly, the team was up to work.

The Nnamdi Kanu occurrence was the first thing that came to mind after the call. I had posted confidently on my social media accounts that Kanu’s was an outright abduction before anyone started talking about such, because I know that if his capturing had involved just one known security agency in the world, the news would have filtered out. It wouldn’t have been possible to keep him for ?8 days in a unknown place. I told myself such must not repeat itself and sleep left my already drowsy self.

But for the timely reporting by Sahara Reporters on the arrest,  “Ibu owo Baba Dami” would have been given the Kanu treatment, I so much believe.

If you have tasted state brutality before, you would understand that it is no respecter of status especially when the state has perceived that you are or you are becoming an existential threat to their fiefdom.

As I write this, he’s still in custody as against the WhatsApp broadcasts around that he is free and on his way to Germany.

I write this as an intervention, so as to make the agitators even though we disagree on methods, on diagnosis of our problems and on the drug prescription, see that it is crystal clear that we are all being attacked by common enemies and we must keep watching for one another. There is an urgent need for all oppressed persons to unite now. Anything less of uniting, we will perish separately.

Talking about methods of struggle, it is important now, more than before, for the Odu’a agitators to become organized in the argument for self-determination. Among other things that need serious review is the rhetorics of mysticism or some special treatment of Igboho.

These must be tackled immediately. The propaganda around how spiritually powerful Igboho is, how he must have disappeared from custody and appeared on the plane to Germany, how he couldn’t have been arrested; that he surrendered himself (how do you surrender yourself in Benin, on your way to Germany?), how one of his aides was shot 48 times by the DSS (who was counting?) etc. All must be trashed. These rhetorics are demobilizing genuine people who have heads sitting on their shoulders. Many are getting high on these illusions. This is the naked truth many don’t want to hear. Am I mobilizing for the Odu’a Nation? Maybe No. But for us in the RevolutionNow campaign , the earlier the contradictions in the secessionist agitations are exposed, the satisfied we are. We don’t see the need to defend the truth. The truth is static. It does not go anywhere. People come to it.

Still on mysticism, I belong to a movement that is part of coalition that argues for a total overhaul of our systems (Revolution) as the way out for all peoples in this part of the world. One of the conveners of the movement; prominent in the struggle, Sowore has proven time and again that there’s nothing mystical about him. If it’s about the cheap necklace he loves to wear, he wore same the day he was shot. He has been dragged, harassed, abducted, tortured, like every other Nigerian fighting for survival. The movement has experienced steady growth through these actions of mobilization. By posing as a person of mystical powers in a struggle that involves the masses who are on different levels of consciousness, you are only telling them that you are the Superman who can solve their problems by some magic wand. If Sowore was like that, by now, he would be the only one protesting in all the campaigns the Coalition has called. There’s nothing mysterious about the problems facing us. The solution would also not be mysterious.

I think I would prefer to hear Comrade Igboho and not Igboho Oosa.

I have been detained in one of the deadliest prisons in Nigeria, where all charms known and unknown get neutralized at the first “German gate”. Weren’t the 47 Odu’a Nation protesters just granted bail since July 3rd? The Ogboni King among them could not disappear from Area F.

I am making this intervention now so that my children will not read somewhere someday that while we were fighting to be liberated, a man appeared and strangled Buhari in Office. The future should be for smarter kids and not those of us who believed the 99-1 India Vs Nigeria match. Unfortunately, we are treading that path unconsciously, with “educated” people championing such narrative. More harm to ours struggles, if you ask me.

Away from mysticism, shall we look at methods?

When the issue of Igboho’s intervention started freshly, I have criticized the method of organizing defence against the killers in Igangan and other parts. Igboho could not be moving from one place to another. It’s not sustainable. People have the rights to defend themselves, especially when the government has failed woefully. It is in fact treasonous (betrayal of one’s self) to allow yourself to be killed when you can defend yourself with whatever. I have posited that local security committees under democratic control of the people be formed. It is this committee that would form the first line of defence against all forms of insecurity that have been made endemic by the cluelessness and wickedness of the Buhari regime. Insecurity is even way more than physical protection. That’s a discussion for another day.

Igboho can’t be everywhere.

This idea of creating messiahs out of vanguards of struggles must cease. Persons can start the fire but the masses must organize to sustain the fire. Nigerians must stop outsourcing the fight for their own liberation. Either to local heroes or international community. It is our duty to liberate ourselves. It should be clear to us now that no international community is watching. We should be done with that recital by now. #EndSARS taught us that.

Away from that is also the issue of blackmail that the movement I belong to is in a battle of ascendancy. This is far from the truth. What is the truth is that we are even glad that a large number of our people are becoming more conscious of their environment and are speaking up. The regular faces can now sit back some times while new faces and organizations are speaking. From electoralists to revolutionaries and secessionists, people are coming to the conclusion that we can not continue on this dangerous path and that there is a need for a turn-around.

Coalition for Revolution, to the best of my knowledge has called for the defence and protection of the rights of all agitators and unity of the oppressed, more times than other movements blackmailing it. It is time to treat the tyrants in the language they understand once and for all.

It is my sincere belief that my rants can find a place in the hearts of all freedom fighters and history will justify me, that I never kept quiet when things were going south.

British warning FulaniF to forget about  past relationship with Britain and try to get along in Nigeria

I just finished a conversation with the British International relations analyst based in the US.

This is the summary of what he said.

The British has been warning the Fulani north to forget about the past relationship with Britain and try to get along in Nigeria.

The British view of Nigeria has changed a lot. They don't need slaves again and they don't need foot soldiers, the Fulanis have nothing currently that they can give to Modern Britain if they are not part of Nigeria.

If Nigeria breaks, then the British realizes they will be in a battle with Germany and France for the friendships and loyalty of the Yorubas, the group they consider the most influential in West Africa and probably Africa future, considering the Yorùbá's relationship across West Africa. And right now the British thinks that the Germans have advantages since they had built really good relationships with the Yorùbá's.

The only problem the Germans have is language. The Yorùbá's in West Africa speaks English and France, but Germany is intensifying its languages schools in Lagos and Ibadan, and even considering a symbolic one in Oyo near the Universities. So, the British are doubling their efforts to remind the Yorùbá's they are favored, by appointing more Yoruba-British in to public space and expanding more Visas for entry into Britain. Britain needs more Brains to compete in the world, not more people radicalized with fake Islamic teachings, and in this respect, Buhari is 200 years in the past.

As Received By Me.

For the Tribes & Religionists in Nigeria: 7 Fatal Delusions Among Southerners

7 FATAL DELUSIONS AMONG SOUTHERNERS

by

Moses Oludele Idowu

"A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

       - Saul Bellow

A delusion is a serious thing. It is worse than deception and much more fatal in its consequences.

The word delusion comes from the Latin word _delusio_- which means "a false belief that is resistant to confrontation with actual facts."

That is the best definition of delusion that I can find.

Let me give one major example of delusion in History and the fatal consequences it brought.

During the invasion of Palestine by the Roman Army under Titus in 68 A.D the Jews succumbed to delusion that proved to be fatal.

After resisting the Romans stoutly for two years the siege finally succeeded in 70 A.D when the Roman legions poured in to deal with this troublous race. By now there was no more food and as Josephus, the famous Jewish historian narrated even people were eating raw grass or anything they could find. Still they refused to surrender and fought on defending their Holy City and most especially their Holy Temple.

By now the Christians, the Sect of the Nazarene, as they were called had deserted knowing that Christ had already prophesied this thing must come to pass - thus causing the eternal distrust and rift which still exists between Jews and Christian relations till today. But the Jewish patriots and nationalists fought on to the last and to their ruin.

It was here the major fatal delusion was enacted.

The Roman soldiers now inside the battle now finally shifted to the Temple. Believing that the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob; the God of the holy prophets, Moses and Elijah  would save the Temple and even them and remember His Covenant with their fathers many ran into the Temple as shield.

But the day of the Temple has gone. A new Dispensation had dawn where God no longer dwells in physical temples but in living temples built with living stones, a house made without hands. He now lives in humans created in His Own Image. Thus rushing to the Temple for salvation before the Romans was a delusion, a fatal delusion.

It was here most Jews perished defending the Temple and using it as a defense. The Romans slaughtered on and set the Temple ablaze. They expected God to show up and defend His Temple but He didn't because the nation herself had committed sins by crucifying an innocent person and the day of revenge had come. Looking to the Temple for protection was a delusion.

Today a gargantuan mosque stands around the very spot where that Temple once stood.

I have prefaced this essay with this story because it seems people rarely learn from History. It seems to me that another group of people are about to suffer very soon as a result of grand delusions - false beliefs that are resistant to confrontation with facts. And most Southerners presently suffer from these delusions.

They are seven in all and I will briefly go over them because of time and space.

1. THAT BRITAIN WILL INTERVENE IN NIGERIA OR RESTRAIN MUHAMMADU BUHARI

The first delusion is that Britain, that treacherous nation called Britain will intervene in Nigeria and help us in anyway.

When the National Christian Elders Forum wrote to  British Parliament I noted this in an article. It is a mistake to.think or expect that Britain will enter Nigeria or intervene in any way that will help the South against the North. It won't happen.

To think that Britain or the British will come here to help the South is a delusion.

   They wont.

British design originally is that the North will rule and dominate the South not vice versa. Their sympathy was and still is with the North not the South. If you dont know this then you don't know much about Nigerian History or you probably forgot what you learned. Thus I consider it a mistake to report Buhari to Britain. It is like reporting the Italian  Brigades to the Bader  Meinoff gang or reporting the Hamas of Palestine to the Hezbollah of Lebanon.

It is a waste of time.

2. THAT THE UNITED STATES UNDER JOE BIDDEN WILL INTERVENE IN NIGERIA IF THERE IS A CONFLICT

Another terrible delusion among most Southerners is that America would come here to intervene if there is trouble between North and South or even a Civil War.

   They won't.

When Buhari requested Americans to site the headquarters of their African Command closer here to help us I wrote: WHY AMERICAN'S WONT COME HERE

They could go to Egypt or even South Africa, Lebanon, etc but not Nigeria.

I know how America works. I have read about that nation, her politics, power play, history, Literature, religion etc for several years and I can tell you one thing: Americans won't come here.

You may continue to delude yourself yo the contrary.

3. THAT THE UNITED NATIONS WILL DO ANYTHING IF WAR BREAKS OUT OR SEND A PEACE- KEEPING FORCE HERE

The worst of all these delusions and the most dangerous is the over reliance on the United Nations by the Ethnic Nationalist Agitators. They seem to have an unbending belief in the United Nation to give them the Oduduwa Republic and Biafra and Middle Belt etc.

Is it that our learned people and scholars do not understand how the world works? And how the United Nations especially works? Who will enforce the decree of the United Nations?

Of what use is a United Nations without the support of America and Britain? How many of the Security Council members of the UN has the military power to enforce a decision of UN in Nigeria? So if the North or Nigeria occupies the new Biafra nation or Oduduwa nation who will throw them out? Or you think it is like Kuwait that America would go to throw away Iraq? There is nothing you have that America needs.

That is why I considered this the greatest of the delusions and the one that will prove most fatal.

I expected that someone working on an Oduduwa Republic would have its own People's Militia at the ready -  just in case.

   Today I can see nothing.

General Togun alerted us yesterday that an invasion of the Southwest is imminent. And barring a divine intervention we may face this course soon.

But you should have foreseen this coming and prepared for.this.

Three years ago I warned the Yoruba in particular and the Southerners in general to set up their own People's Militia. How many paid heed to it. Now I am afraid it is now late - too late for the Yorubas. You are surrounded.

United Nations won't help you in what is coming because without the firepower of the Americans United Nations is nothing especially when it comes to a populous nation like Nigeria and Americans won't come here except probably to evacuate their citizens and embassy staff.

The United Nations could have stopped the genocide in Rwanda or at  least mitigated it, what did the body do? French Army watched as one African tribe massacred another in one week of madness without using force to intervene or stop the madness.

United Nations is as strong as America and Britain decide to make it. All the Resolutions made by UN against Israel how many of them have been enforced? Who will enforce them without America the only super power now on the planet?

That is why I think the South is making a terrible mistake in strategy.

That the UN intervened in Sudan and split the nation does not mean they would do the same here. Sudan is not Nigeria and Nigeria is not Sudan.

4. THAT WRITING LETTERS OR STAGING PROTESTS WILL CHANGE THE BUHARI ADMINISTRATION OR CAUSE IT TO MOVE AGAINST THE FULANI HERDSMEN OR BANDITS

A palace razed in IGANAGN,
Oyo state by FULANI Invaders

There is a belief that Muhammadu Buhari is not really aware of what is going on and that much of this information do not get to him. That the President is actually a good man but with bad advisers... And so on. I.consider these to be pernicious nonsense.

I do not have the luxury of time to probe this deeply here.

However there is a common mistake Nigerians often make which brought us here to begin with. People confuse knowledge with attitude. Knowledge or know- how is one thing and culture, attitude or behaviour is another. You can teach a man who doesn't know if he is willing to learn but it is difficult to change a man - and a man above 70 for that matter - of his beliefs, culture, attitude and dispositions.

Buhari's insularity and provincialism fuel his attitude to even State affairs and these are the product of his Islamic fundamentalist belief system and Wahabist ideology. It is not that he is not aware that the Constitution provides for ethnic balancing in the area of appointments to strategic positions and offices. He knows. But as an Islamic fundamentalist he doesn't believe that a Muslim is equal or should have equal representation with a non- Muslim.

He did it in 1984 all the three topmost positions in the Supreme Military Council, - Head of State, his deputy and the Chief of Staff were all Muslims. He has done it in 2015 appointments and has worsened even in the 2019.

This man cannot change and will never be changed.

Thinking that he would change in 2019 brought Nigeria to.this mess when we have the opportunity through that singular election to change the narrative. Thus, writing letters, organising protests etc would change nothing. Buhari would do nothing against the Fulani herdsmen and bandits even if they became more brutal than they presently are.

It is left for you to find answers for.yourself.

5. THAT ANYTHING SHORT OF FORCE, ADEQUATE, PROPORTIONATE, DEFINITE FORCE CAN STOP THE FULANI HERDSMEN IN THEIR TEMPORARY MISSION OF HARASSING, EXTORTION AND TERRORISM; AND IN THEIR LARGER ULTIMATE PURPOSE OF TOTAL INVASION, RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL HEGEMONY AND IMPOSITION OF THEIR WAY OF LIFE ON OTHER ETHNIC NATIONALITIES

I will give you one sign so that you may know this people are being guided and up to an agenda.

Shortly after Buhari became President and all the security apparatus fell in their hands the Fulani herdsmen went haywire and began to attack other Nigerians - farmers and travelers alike. As they were attacking on the road way so they were attacking in the farms.

Then suddenly something happened. I am not sure Nigerians notice because we are a people without understanding and perception but at least one NIGERIAN noticed and wrote about it in the Guardian newspaper.

  What was it?

Shortly before the election of 2019 just about the time when campaigns began the Fulani herdsmen stopped their atrocities. It was like a ceasefire in war.  It was a coordinated approach. All across the nation you couldn''t hear of a single attack either against farmers or travelers while the campaign to return Buhari to power was going on.

You may again go and check the newspapers of the period, you can't read of any Fulani attack against anyone.

  Why?

It now seems they deliberately managed themselves so that Buhari could get a second term, so that Nigerians won't notice anything.

Now that Buhari is on for the second time they have resumed their atrocities. This singular incident shows me conclusively that this people are being coordinated somewhere and up to some purpose. United by their common belief and entrenched in their religion - a religion that does not see anything wrong with bloodshed, slavery of infidels, war- mongering and even plunder - they march on to execute their larger purpose.

Now famine is imminent in the South.

Now most Southern states are surrounded. A siege is the first stage in the declaration of war among the ancients. That is now happening. Farmers cannot go to farm, prices of foodstuff continue to skyrocket. The war has started but Southerners enslaved by too much book learning are still embroiled in Conferences, seminars, symposium, fantasia, papers... While every day their choices become narrower and narrower.

Barring the special grace of God and divine intervention nothing can stop the Fulani herdsmen in their sinister course except equal, proportionate force.

If as Newton shows that "to every action there is equal and opposite reaction" then it is left for the different ethnic nationalities to plan their counter - action or reaction that is equal and formidable to this existential threat to their collective survival. Buhari would do nothing about it and his government would do nothing. Either you act now or you wait for the UN at your own perils.

6. THAT THE WORLD WILL INTERVENE IF A CIVIL WAR  BREAKS OUT BETWEEN THE NORTH AND SOUTH OR BETWEEN FULANIS AND YORUBAS

This is another fallacy based on delusions of grandeur. Which "world" are you talking about?

The world of the black man or the white man? The world of the developed nations or the backward Third World nations?

During the Civil War how many nations came here?

They only sold arms to us.

Only on the side of Biafra that France and Israel actually actively participated. They didn't send soldiers only logistical support.

  That was then.

The world has since changed even worse than then.

No one will come here except to sell arms. The resulting demographic disaster doesn't worry the developed nations so long it does not endanger the white skin. They may even be happy secretly about it.

7. THAT CHRISTIANITY IS AGAINST WAR AND SELF -DEFENSE

This will be the most fatal of all the delusions to the South. Since most Christians live or reside in the South.

Leading this fallacious and illogical position is the Church of Rome and mostly espoused by its exegetes the most notable of which is Bishop Kukah.

It is held by Catholic Church School of theology that peaceful non- resistance is the way out and the Christian standard.

I stand here to say that the Bible either in the New Testament or Old Testament knows nothing like pacifism or peaceful non- resistance in the face of extreme aggression and existential threat of genocide against an entire race or tribe battling for collective survival.

I stand here to state and to challenge anyone who has a contrary idea to a debate that neither the New Testament nor Church History knows anything as pacifism or peaceful non- resistance in the face of a genocide against an entire people groups or whole races.

I would be glad if anyone can accept my offer for a debate on any platform.

The Bible and Historical Theology never condemned self- defense or engagement in "a just war"- a war to remove the cause of aggression and to punish evil. From Cicero to Augustine, from Aquina to Calvin and Luther, all the great exegetes and authorities of Theology are agreed that it is proper for a people facing existential danger of survival to defend themselves with any and every weapon they can lay their hands on.

I have read Bishop Kukah on this peaceful non- resistance but I don't know where the modern Catholic system got this. None of you in the entire Nigerian Roman Catholic Church is more Catholic than Aquina and none of you is as saintly as Augustine who first laid the theology of Just War that became the governing premises of the Western nations and Civilization till today.

The madness in man must sometimes be answered not with persuasion or pleading but with greater madness. This is what prompted the Crusades although today we have distorted their History and Islam and apologists of Islam and their new found allies in the Western universities and leftist revisionist historians now mouth plenty of nonsense about the Crusaders forgetting it was the same type of provocations that triggered that Movement. The madness presently going on in Nigeria will not end until it is confronted with an equal madness from the other side. Sometimes it takes madness to cure madness. That is the great lesson of the Crusades.

Most of the foolish things people say to justify peaceful non- resistance are neither scriptural not logical.

If Jesus was so much against self - defense, as the authors of non- resistance tell us, what were two of his Disciples doing with swords on the night of His betrayal? A sword is not an object of decoration or ornament in First Century Palestine, it is an instrument of war. It is them what AK-47 is to us today.

Let the pacifists answer that charge.

I am aware that people are fasting and praying. I salute you all. I am praying too. But as in the days of Nehemiah don't just pray alone plan too with weapons girded around you and be prepared "with fire and with thunder."

I will not endanger anyone and I will do no evil to anyone but anyone who intends or plans to remove me from the land of my fathers before my time from whatever religion or tribe will have himself to blame if I be a servant of the Most High God.

Every ethnic nationality has a right to defend itself, raise her own militia to defend its people and spaces and land. Even churches ought to raise their own militia to.defend the people who worship or come to worship there.

Enough of using CHRISTIANITY to justify a system of unrighteousness or prop a structure of iniquity. There is nothing in Apostolic CHRISTIANITY that forbids a whole tribe or people groups from standing up for their lives against an aggressive enemies with a history of genocide and blood stains.

It is time for a Liberation Theology in Nigeria and even more Confrontation Theology. The minds of Christians in this nation need to be liberated from religion and slavery.

That will soon be done. That is a major task ahead. Slaves won't survive what is coming, only sons will.

It is time for a Liberation Theology in Nigeria and even more Confrontation Theology. The minds of Christians in this nation need to be liberated from religion and slavery.

That will soon be done. That is a major task ahead. Slaves won't survive what is coming, only sons will.
