An Open Letter To Pastor E.A Adeboye: OF WITCHCRAFT AND IDOLATRY; BE WARNED!

An Open Letter To Pastor E.A Adeboye: OF WITCHCRAFT AND IDOLATRY; BE WARNED!

 Wednesday, 21st February 2024.

An Open Letter To:

Pastor E.A Adeboye,

The General Overseer,

The Redeemed Christian Church of God,

Worldwide.

Dear Sir,

OF WITCHCRAFT AND IDOLATRY; BE WARNED!

Apostasy begins with the perverse drive in man to push beyond the bounds of what has been revealed by God as the basis for His way of life- John W. Ritenbaugh.

Conscious of our human tendencies towards spiritual ineptitude and consequently canal adventurism; God warned us through his servant Apostle John in Revelation 22:19; "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book".

Man, all men were created to fulfill God's purpose. To that central purpose of God in Christ all persons of faith must gravitate as individuals and groups (denominations). We aren't expected to craft a purpose for ourselves as individuals or groups in the name of Christianity, rather we are to find His purpose for our lives and Ministries and live to fulfill them.

Our background as Africans makes the aforementioned warnings a watch out for, we can't deny the impact of syncretism in our songs of praises and worships these days, eulogy fitting for our ancestral deities are found in songs we sing to God Almighty. Theology of music is of essence as we grow choirs and worshipers in our churches today. The ministry of Levites, Minstrels and Psalmists must be rediscovered by men and women, boys and girls whose songs are inspired by the spirit and letters of the scriptures to give life.

Syncretism, the blending of practices from paganism into mainstream Christianity is not limited to our songs, even our prayers have taken battle structure in patterns not found in the Bible; particularly in the Gospels and the Epistles. The consciousness of Satan and his operations far outweigh that of God and his ways. Making many believers to live as if we are at the mercy of our enemies.

Only the revelation of God shows how He will be worshipped, and he will not be served in imitation of other god's.

God's ways, we must never forget, can't be "improved" by human sincerity!

Talking of imitation, it is the pattern that appeals to our creative gullibility as humans. The tendency to be someone else is the evil attraction derailing many away from the path of life and of the kingdom but of God's purpose we must constantly remind ourselves and stick to! Even the Master was drawn by his disciples who would prefer that his ministry be patterned after that of John the Baptist.

Luk 11:1 KJV And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

Sir, even the Lord's pattern of prayer was despised by his own Disciples who observing his prayers concluded that John the Baptist model was better and was recommended for adoption by the Master.

The Master however stuck to God's purpose to reveal the pattern prayers will from then henceforth take.

Sir, a depraved church can't save a lost nation, Nigeria is lost! Most unfortunately however is the depravity of her saviours, who have gone wayward without knowing it.

A common rhetorical question in our society today is how did we get here? That question you may need to ask concerning yourself and the church under your oversight.

Where is the RCCG and I in the purpose of God for which Christ became a sacrificial Lamb for our sins and his life given in exchange for ours.

Sir, few years ago you shared with the world how you saw in a revelation that handful of the multitude thronging to you at the Redemption Camp made it to heaven, is this revelation cast in iron, that its fulfillment is inevitable or it is a warning of a coming drift that can be averted? Your revelation made such great an impact on me and has become a reminder of the need for self examination from time to time. It is from it that the inspiration and courage is drawn to admonish you and call your attention to WITCHCRAFT and IDOLATRY practices and their influence on Christians and Christianity today which we might have been subsumed to unknowingly.

The flesh is the door way to witchcraft operations and equally a ready altar of idolatrous practices.

How do I mean?

The capacity of our flesh to be drawn to evil and sustain and promote same was revealed in the book of Galatians 5: 19 - 26.

"Now the work of the flesh are manifest"! Listed as works, our flesh can work are hatred, strife, jealousy, anger, self ambition or self seeking, dissensions, envy, sorcery which is also WITCHCRAFT, without forgetting to include on the list IDOLATRY and anything similar.

The life of the flesh is contrast with the life in the spirit and fruits of the spirit life are also listed; life from which our songs, prayers must be drawn; after which our life must be patterned is love. How much of God's love does our songs communicate? How much of it is loaded into our prayers? Aren't we self seeking in our songs and prayers?

The trend of unscriptural prayers across churches in Africa is worrisome, not just to Bible believing Kingdom minded and Christ centered Christians, but by the understanding of the word of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are worried about the trend that streamed out of the Nigerian church "in the name of prayer revival that are gratifying to the flesh but are grieving the Spirit; if we still have Him".

Concerning the works of the flesh, we were told in advance that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. The church in Nigeria is obviously under this judgement, with so much in common with nations roundabout us, priding ourselves in exploits done through things we have bought with money in our obedience to Mammon! Folly is what it is when the poorest nation on earth is housing richest churches and arguably the 1st 10 richest Pastors in the world. The rat race to out do one another and the ungodly results gotten in the process are yardstick for success in life and ministry. This evil has become the motivation for our prayers.

This may be difficult to accept but witchcraft is the practice in many places in the name of prayers.

All due respect sir, you are a father figure, not just in the church in Nigeria but to this generation. Your influence and to what it is deployed is therefore of interest to God and his kingdom. Your pattern of prayer lately should worry anyone who sincerely knows the Lord and understands God's pattern.

Sometimes not too long ago, you were seen in a video that has gone viral praying for a gathering I want to assume were members of RCCG that all other members of the family of God, that is denominations will bow to them. I need not tell you sir, that the wall of denominations are collapsing; that of course includes the wall of RCCG. God is moving the church to where it started from; the upper room in a house.

Before the most recent prayers, you have prayed for members of RCCG that their family, friends and colleagues will not be able to eat without them. I wasn't surprised though, because the level of canal adventurism in that prayer is better than many places where, friends, families and colleagues that Jesus died for and left us behind to save through a life of love and preaching of the gospel of the kingdom are daily killed by fire.

Your latest prayers Sir, is my concern; "I decree in the name that is above every other name; Christians from every other denomination will bow before you"! It was followed as usual with the thunderous echo of Amen!!!!!

Amen of course means so be it, or thus saith the Lord. It is therefore important that we look into the Bible to establish that this prayer qualifies for what we can declare as Amen! Thus says the Lord and so shall it be.

The name above all names in which you prayed sir, is the name of Jesus and I will like to call your attention to how the one in whose name you made your request to the Father handled a similar prayer while he was here on earth.

In Matthew 20: 20-28. A Mrs Zebedee, moved with mother's love had approached Jesus in company of his two sons; James and John worshiping him and desiring for her two sons what you "philially" and not "agapely" desire for all your children under the umbrella of RCCG.

What wilt thou, the Lord asked her.

Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right and the other on the left in thy kingdom.

The Lord answered; Madam, unfortunately it has been given to them for whom it is prepared of my father!

The request was not granted, but the news of the prayer divided the disciples just like the news of your prayers which by this pattern the Lord may not answer is dividing the body of Christ.

For when the 10 heard it, Easy English Version says they were angry, International Standard Version says they were furious and the King James says they were moved with indignation.

Self seeking was listed as a work of the flesh, a self seeking prayer as seen in the Zebedees, activated anger in the other 10 Disciples, they were furious!

The master was smart at saving his disciples from witchcraft operations. He called them to himself and taught them how to have such a place of honour with God!

"You know that the Prince of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them and they that are great exercise authority but in this kingdom it shall not be so. Whosoever will be great among you let him be your Minister! The word minister is the Greek word "diakonos", a steward, particularly of the least steward of the house.

Sir, what you desire like Mrs Zebedee for your children in RCCG can only be gotten in the humility of stewardship to the body of Christ.

Benedict XVI - Counting our losses!

Benedict XVI - Counting our losses!

By

abiodun KOMOLAFE

On January 26, 1998, I authored an article, entitled _‘Lessons from the Dead’,_ in one of Nigeria’s foremost newspapers. In the piece, I attempted to eulogize the late Mother Theresa of Calcutta for her avowed commitment to the advancement of global development as well as her giving an everlasting face of honour to humanity. As a member of staff of the _Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria_ (CSN) later that year, I came to a striking realization that _‘Catholics are made, not born!’_

As a writer and public affairs commentator and, much later, as a leading member of the production crew of _‘CSN News’,_ the official newsmagazine of the administrative headquarters of the Catholic Church in Nigeria, yours sincerely was able to read widely in a bid to know more about the Church and its leaders. Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, then, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, was one of them. In 2002, I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of visiting the Cathedral Church of Our Dear Lady _(Frauenkirche),_ Munich, Germany, which served as Ratzinger’s seat as Archbishop of Munich and Freising, between 1977 and 1982.

Indeed, one of the attributes of the Catholic Church is its ability to train its people. Well, the Church believes that one should always be at the top of one’s game. That’s why the institutional prowess of the Catholic Church is unparalleled all over the world. It is also the reason an institution like that can raise a pope like Benedict XVI. The Church is supportive of its members and adherents of the faith. It is also pro-intellectual like no other Church; and it is wealthy enough to see its projects through anywhere on Planet Earth. That’s why we seldom have a wishy-washy man becoming pope.

The Catholic Church must actually be commended for the selection process of popes because enormous responsibility is placed on it to ensure that the right candidate is chosen. Ideally, the Church can afford no error! _Ceteris paribus,_ it has fared better! So, raising a brilliant, charismatic and resourceful priest like Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI is also a sign of the shrewdness of the process of the selection of popes.

To be sure, one of the shining attributes of leadership is an individual’s ability to thrive in untested waters – navigating roads that were hitherto never travelled and how specific leaders fared at the end of the day. Indeed, Pope Benedict has demonstrated to the world what the ideal profile should look like. He was a pragmatist; and, like former President J.F. Kennedy, the Bishop of Rome and Sovereign of the Vatican State understood the huge responsibilities of power and its functions. Therefore, he would not stick to power for the sake of power. Instead, he carried power gingerly throughout his tenure. And, when it was time to let go, he didn’t need anybody to persuade him. He knew his health was failing and he decided to let go. Whereas other people would have been beating a wall with the hope of transforming it into a door, the pontiff opted for the path of honour. Even with the clergy in Africa, they wouldn’t have let go of that sweetness of power!

When Benedict resigned as pope on February 11, 2013, the world was taken aback while some people felt it was rare and unheard-of. Indeed, in the preserved historic account of the Church, only one pope had attempted such; and did resign, hundreds of years ago. Pope Benedict lived above his peers! He glossed through life with abundant grace and vitality because he has an understanding of the intricate details of life and the inevitability of death. Like King Hezekiah, whose resolutions were based on the convictions of his faith, the Holy Father was a man of uncommon courage and a sure symptom of manly tenderness who, until death, was developing. Unlike others, who’d never want to listen to the topic of death, Benedict XVI was able to speak truth to power and face any situation because he knew that he would be here only for a while; that he would one day take the exit route of life. And, by so doing – not living for the moment – he would surely live forever in the hearts of a lot of people.

Abraham Lincoln! Nelson Mandela! The tragic truth is that the world is fast losing its best with striking vengeance and opportunities for their replacement are waning with each passing day. Unfortunately, Africa is the worst hit! Therefore, welcome the African continent, where leadership positions are held in a _‘till-death-do-us-part’_ fashion. In the African setting, it is considered normal for leaders to stay put in positions of power. The point is: in our clime, leaders don’t quit; they don’t resign; and they don’t retire! Of course, they are not even supposed to leave, courtesy of the alignment and accommodation found in the cultural contents of most African societies. Unlike Giovanni Martinelli, the Apostolic Vicar of Tripoli who, despite repeated threats to his life, preferred martyrdom to betraying his community, the story of leadership in Africa has been one of unutterable desolation, indescribable poverty and wanton destruction of innocent lives.

Let’s face it: leadership in the African setting doesn’t have the same root in cultural foundation with the rest of the world. In a continent where people with neither decency nor honour dictate the pace of affairs; where conspicuous underachievement and struggle for power crudely compete for space; of course, where poverty increases with the same proportion as the national budget, why won’t times and things get messed up? That’s why you have a leader like Paul Biya and Yoweri Museveni who will not want to go after spending 40 and 37 years in office respectively.

Nigeria’s case is even peculiarly worse! Here, the society and the social structures are ambivalent; and successive leaders understand this! That’s why they can afford to mess up in public office while the society debates the pros and cons of the alleged misdemeanour. To get out of this doctrinal mess, the Cultural Revolution and new orientation will have to start from scratch; that is, from the youths. The youths need to learn that, when they are in a position, they should do for their country something great because everyone has an expiry date!

Generally in Nigeria, the leadership and/or ownership structure and the preponderance of diverse denominations have actually divided the Church more than unite it. The personalization of the ownership of the churches for pecuniary conveniences has made cohesion and control of the Church a difficult venture. Take for instance, a General Overseer (G.O.) somewhere may say something to his or her members and the leader of another denomination may be opposed to it! It is this lack of cohesion amongst the denominations that has made it easier for the political _‘King Kongs’_ and socioeconomic swallowers to factionalize the Church. If God is God and the same One, it is common logic that the doctrines coming from the denominations should not be different.

Undeniably, the Catholic Church and, indeed, the world, has lost a star; not only because the Successor to the Throne of Peter shined as a noble priest, but being someone who through his life and death has contributed significantly to the leadership and institutional attributes of the Church globally. May the generations of Pope Benedict XVI abound, even in the future!

May the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, rest the soul of our beloved Pope Benedict XVI and comfort the Church he left behind!

History will not repeat itself and there will be no annulment this time around (referring to the Muslim/ Muslim ticket of Abiola)

Dr Abdullmudalib Muhammad the Convener of the meeting then stated the purpose of the meeting :

"The participants are Muslims and Islamic clerics. We gathered Muslims from all persuasions to enlighten them on ensuring that the Muslim/ Muslim ticket succeeds. We invited over 75 Islamic groups from several states including Yoruba and Igbo Muslims.

We told the Islamic clerics /participants that the issue is not about building infrastructure for the nation but the major issue is who will promote Islam.

We told the participants that a Muslim wherever he is, is better than a kafiri (unbeliever) or non-Muslim, and if you bring 2 Muslims together (referring to the Muslim/ Muslim ticket of Tinubu and Shettima), they will give you the victory that one Muslim will not be able to give.

This is the reason why we are enlightening people to understand......

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL FOR SATURDAY MAY 21ST 2022: THE SEVEN SEALS III

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL FOR SATURDAY MAY 21ST 2022: THE SEVEN SEALS III

THEME:  THE SEVEN SEALS III

MEMORISE:

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. Revelation 6:6

READ: Revelation 6:5 -6

5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

MESSAGE

In the Bible reading for today, we see the third seal opened and a man on a black horse coming forth with a pair of balances in his hand. Revelation 6:6 says:

And l heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny...

At this time, as a result of the war we discussed yesterday, the economy of the whole world will be affected. Agriculture in particular will suffer because most men who would have cultivated crops and reared animals would have been drafted into the army. Even where there is food, transporting it will be a problem so there will be famine all over the world. Bread will be weighed before it is sold. Food will be extremely expensive.

Revelation 6:6 further says:

and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Scarce as food will be, luxury goods will not be touched; they will be very much available. Alcoholic drinks that are consumed by the rich will remain but how will a poor and hungry person get money to buy whisky?

Those who think that they are suffering now, yet are still living in sin have not seen anything yet. Those who miss the rapture will experience extreme hunger. Even those that have money will not find enough food to buy. While we in heaven will be enjoying unlimited pleasures, singing and dancing, those on earth will be starving and wailing. Any person who thinks that sin is sweet now should go on sinning; a time is coming when he will realise that sin is bitter. Choosing a life of holiness is the best decision you can ever make because it secures your future in heaven. If you say something is too big for you to drop now in order to make heaven, wait until that time and see if that thing will even be relevant at all.

DECLARE

Nothing will ever be big enough to make me miss heaven, in Jesus’ name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Esther 1-4

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE

HYMNAL: TO GOD BE THE GLORY

1 To God be the glory, great things He hath done,

So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,

Who yielded His life our redemption to win,

And opened the life-gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,

  Let the earth hear His voice;

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,

  Let the people rejoice;

Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,

And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.

2 Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,

To every believer the promise of God;

The vilest offender who truly believes,

That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

3 Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,

And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;

But purer, and higher, and greater will be

Our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see.

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL FOR FRIDAY MAY 20TH 2022: THE SEVEN SEALS II

MEMORISE:

And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. Revelation 6:4

READ: Revelation 6:3 -4

3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

MESSAGE

After the Anti-Christ has arrived and has been crowned, the second seal will be opened. Now, remember that from yesterday’s study, we say that the whole world was happy with their new leader who seemed to be a promoter of peace. However, when the second seal is opened, they will see the true colour of their leader. He will provoke war. At that time, all his diplomacy will be gone.

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Matthew 24:15

The words of Daniel referred to by Jesus in the above passage are in Daniel 11:31:

And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

The arms that will be on his part are represented by the man on the red horse that will be released when the second seal is opened. Now the Anti-Christ will have the military at his fingertips. Though he would have allowed the Israelites to rebuild their temple, he will sacrifice pigs on the altar of that temple. Anyone that knows Jewish law will know that Jews can never tolerate that. War will break out! This will be the war of all wars. Some countries will support the Anti-Christ and some will be against him. I pity those who will be on earth at this time. The war will be terrible, so terrible that Jesus warned thus:

Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!  But pray ye that your flight be not it the winter, neither on the Sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Matthew 24:16-21

I pray you will not miss the rapture, in Jesus’ name.

 KEY POINT

Let he who is wise stay away from sin.

HYMNAL: HO MY COMRADES SEE THE SIGNAL

1. Ho, my comrades, see the signal, waving in the sky!

Reinforcements now appearing, victory is nigh.

Refrain:

“Hold the fort, for I am coming,”

Jesus signals still;

Wave the answer back to heaven,

“By Thy grace we will.”

2. See the mighty host advancing,

Satan leading on,

Mighty ones around us falling,

courage almost gone!

3. See the glorious banner waving,

Hear the trumpet blow!

In our Leader’s Name we

triumph over every foe.

4. Fierce and long the battle rages,

but our help is near,

Onward comes our great Commander,

cheer, my comrades, cheer!

Fulanis in Nigeria and war of conquest

Fulanis in Nigeria and war of conquest

"The then Sultan of Sokoto (Dan Fodio) had said that he saw his offsprings, in years to come, being requested to obtain visa permits before entering the Southern part of the country. . .”

“The Hausa-Fulani has no ideals, no ambitions save such as sensual in character. He is a fatalist, spendthrift and a gambler. He is gravely immoral and is seriously diseased that he is a menace to any community to which he seeks to attach himself” – Lord Lugard in a Letter to his colleague, Walter H. Lang on September 25, 1918.

“Under the circumstances of what has been happening in Plateau State, some people just have to die……Any society that refuses to be just and fair shall become a jungle where only jungle justice shall operate. . . Indeed, majority of our killings were carried out in areas where there was strong government presence.”

Mallam Sale Bayero, Fulani leader and secretary Sultan’s Farmer/Cattle Rearers Conflict Committee boasting as he justified the massacre of the Birom people while protesting the arrest of the Fulani murderers in Plateau State of Nigeria, quoted in THE SUN NEWS of Friday, March 12, 2010.

Some time towards the middle of the second decade of the 1800s (1815 AD or thereabout), Uthman Dan Fodio was reported to have had a scary dream about his Sultanate empire that he had just built. This dream was said to have saddened him that the empire he had spilled so much blood to build would only lasted 200 years. As a courageous warrior that he was, Dan Fodio was reported to have summoned the will and interpret the dream to make this prediction about the future of his Empire.

According to informed sources as reported by Adewale Adeoye in The Nation of March 14, 2010, this fear of the realization of Dan Fodio’s dream was what informed the hurried movement of the Capital of Nigeria from Lagos to Abuja. The report said inter alia:

“The source hinted that in the 1970s, Northern leaders of Fulani extraction had met and resolved that the capital of Nigeria be moved from Lagos to Abuja, in anticipation of the prophecy of late Uthman Dan Fodio. He said the meeting was

propelled by the dream the then Sultan of Sokoto had that he saw his offsprings, in years to come, being requested to obtain visa permits before entering the Southern part of the country….”

There are a number of deductions that could be made from the above:

a) That the entire Nigeria was and is still regarded as part of the Sultanate Empire of Uthman Dan Fodio.

b) That this is why the Fulani have been exuding this arrogant attitude permeated with the “BORN TO RULE” mentality.

c) That this is why they have always ruled Nigeria as if we are in the middle ages and consider the wealth of Nigeria as theirs to dispense as they see fit.

d) That the recent liberation struggles in Birom, Niger Delta, and the rest of the South, west or east is being seen as the beginning of the end of the Sultanate Empire by the Fulani people

e) That the Fulani people have been scheming and preparing to get ready for when they would leave or be chased out of Nigeria.

It is this writer’s view that there is nothing wrong if the Fulani have to pull out of Nigeria to sustain and maintain the remnant of their Sultanate Empire. It would definitely serve all concerned very well. But this writer is not convinced that the Fulani would let go very easily, regardless of their palpitation about the dreams of Uthman Dan Fodio. They are going to fight hard. Anyone familiar with their trickery and how they subdued all the fledgling Hausa States one after the other, using Hausa masses against their kings would agree with this writer.

To this extent, I disagree with Lord Lugard that the Fulani (let us leave the Hausa ethnic nationality out for now), “has no ambition.” The Fulani has ambitions and great ones at that. The Fulani ambition is to always rule others whether they (Fulani) have the capacity to do so or not. The Fulani liked and still likes his empires, at least that of Uthman Dan Fodio had been in place before Lord Lugard ever was born.

It is this inherent ambition that forced the Fulani to develop the methodology to use religion to mobilize the Hausa critical mass against their own Hausa rulers and replaced them with blue-blooded turban-carrying Fulani rulers as Emirs across what used to be Hausa kingdoms. As time goes on, the Fulani sought ways to modernize its means of extending the frontiers of the Sultanate and refined its tool that was used against the Hausa Kingdoms in preparation for the conquest of the ethnic nationalities in Nigeria.

What the Fulani came up with was a different brand of what they did to the Hausa kings and empires. The Fulani concluded that because of cultural and religious factors, it would not be easy to use the critical mass of other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria to be able to supplant the leaders of these ethnic nationalities. So, the Fulani to sustain its ambition to rule and dominate, cultivated corrupt satellites in every ethnic nationality in Nigeria while politically annihilating the true leaders of other ethnic nationalities.

In 1957, during the heated battles for self government and independence, Sir Ahmadu Bello referred to Nigeria as “The mistake of 1914.” To correct this “mistake” a meticulous plan to dominate the future Nigerian Armed Forces was surreptitiously embarked upon while the British was helping out on the political front manufacturing Parliamentary seats for the North against the South of Nigeria. Thus, barely six months after independence, Sir Ahmadu Bello was able to say with confidence in the Daily Times of May 3, 1961, the following:

“I’m set and fully armed, to conquer the Action Group, AG, in the same ruthless manner as my grandfather conquered Alkalawa, a town in Sokoto province, during the last century.”

The writer would like readers to pay due attention to the words used by Sir. Bello, in this quote. He used the word “conquer” not negotiate. Ahmadu Bello executed this desired conquest of the West as he had planned. Though, it backfired temporarily as it consumed him a number of years later, but the Fulani sentries in the Caliphate Armed Forces euphemized as the Nigerian Armed Forces along with its surviving civilian wing have adopted Sir. Ahmadu Bello’s method of propping up political, economic and religious satellites in all ethnic nationalities in Nigeria to be able to maintain control from Abuja, Sokoto and or Gobir, the birthplace of Uthman Dan Fodio.

It would be alright, if the Fulani could live with others as others are willing and prepared to live with them in Nigeria and other parts of West Africa, at least. In Nigeria, there has been more than 100years of evidence that various ethnic Nationalities have accommodated, loved respected and cared for the Fulani in their midst. There are abundant evidence that the Fulani have been treated as fellow human beings and accorded the same rights that the host have always enjoyed.

But it is very unfortunate that the Fulani has not had the same “live and let live” approach to other ethnic Nationalities in Nigeria. The Fulani concept of living is that others have to die, so that the Fulani may live. As far as the Fulani are concerned, other peoples of other ethnic nationalities are second rate slaves to be used, dumped, maimed, raped or killed for the good of the Fulani man. The Fulani see Nigeria as his great grandfather’s inheritance to be toyed with as he wishes and as he wants. This attitude of Fulani makes him believe that he has to rule wherever he is, regardless of his comparative intelligence and capability to that of his host among other reasons.

Presenting a paper reviewing Paul M. Lewis’ book Ethnologue: Languages of the World, (16th Edition), to a study group in Philadelphia recently, Professor Wola Awoyale, a linguist at the University of Pennsylvania noted that the Fulani are recent immigrants in Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad, Benin Republic, Guinea, Senegal, Niger, Mali and Sudan. The Fulani symbol is turban, flag, alukimba, mosque and book. The Fulani are “a very creative” people who are often very “tight-lipped, silent and secretive” in their approach. They are very “mistrusting, calculating and patient.”

The Fulani are described as “cold blooded and ideological.” They are “ascetic, reclusive and tough-minded.” The Fulani places premium on the role of the mosque in its culture and this is why in all of Nigeria, a Fulani would not be a part of Jamaa (the congregation) where another man of different ethnic stock is leading muslims in prayers.

The Fulani language Fulfude with its variations in Fulah, Pulaar and or Pular is very highly priced. It is their weapon to discuss in secrecy and manipulate and carry out their machinations. The Fulani will freely learn the languages of others as a means of infiltrating them for economic, political and religious advantages while rarely speaking Fulfulde in the presence of others.

In an interview by The Nation, of Baba Oluwide, a former economic consultant to the United Nations (UN), it was reported inter alia:

“To him,(Baba Oluwide) the frequent clashes ‘reflects a reawakening of consciousness among nationalities which territories were forcefully taken by the Fulani’ adding that it also ‘signifies the collapse of the Fulani Empire.’ He said the ‘main cause of the downfall of the Fulani Empire’ was the defect inherent in their political and social perspectives which he says celebrates lack of tolerance for diverse culture and a resentment of pluralism of ideas.”

This writer, in disagreeing with the interviewee, would not be so swift to sing the dirge of the Sokoto Caliphate or the Sultanate. While one may agree that there is “a reawakening of consciousness among nationalities which territories were forcefully taken by Fulani,” there is still the need for the ethnic Nationalities in Nigeria to remain vigilant. It is one’s view that the battle to overthrow the yoke of the Fulani political imperialism/neo-colonialism, economic exploitation and religious extremism is just about to begin.

While it may be true that the Fulani is being haunted by the dream of Uthman Dan Fodio and are making preparations for the D-Day when they would leave Nigeria or chased out, it would amount to political suicide for the oppressed and enslaved ethnic nationalities in Nigeria to go to sleep, waiting for the time when the Fulani would voluntarily leave Nigeria. There may be eventual negotiations, but this writer doubts it giving the characteristics of a Fulani man.

It is one’s view that freedom is not cheap and neither is it free. There is always a price to pay for one’s freedom. The Fulani is willing to loot, maim, and kill to hold on to its empire. This suggests that to take it from them, all the ethnic nationalities have to be prepared for every eventuality just in case words and negotiations would not solve the problem.

It would be recalled that the Fulani embarked on ethnic cleansing of the Jukun ethnic nationality in Taraba State in the 1990s. The Fulani are vociferously claiming the ownership of Idi-Araba and yelled “barao, barao, barao” meaning “thief, thief, thief” on the then Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu in his own State. The Fulani started war on traditionalists in Shagamu in Ogun State over the celebration of Oro Festival. The Fulani have tried to reduce the Tiv’s population by extermination during the First Republic. The Fulani have tried to emasculate the Katafs in Kaduna before. The Fulani tried to cleanse Zakibiam of non-Fulani blood. The Fulani have been killing owners of the land in Iseyin and Shaki in Oyo State. Media reports noted that scores of owners of the lands in Oyo were left “dead, maimed or raped.” The Fulani are determined to wipe out the Birom people of Plateau from their ancestral lands. The Fulani has just recently killed a policeman in Ekiti State after wounding the owners of the land. The Fulani has an Emir of Ilorin, a Yoruba town. The Fulani is determined to have an Emir of Jos and possibly Enugu too, very soon.

The Nation, in its report of March 14, 2010 also noted the following:

“In many West African countries, clashes between nomadic Fulani and indigenous communities are well known underlining the fact that the challenge is a sub-regional phenomenon. In Cameroon, Ghana, Mali, Togo and Niger, frequent clashes between nomadic Fulani and land owners constitute a major security problem for national and regional governments. In the Chad basin, clashes between Fulani and Shua Arabs have led to thousands of deaths, reliable sources claim. Many of the clashes were between indigenous communities and Fulani herdsmen accused of trespassing on native lands and in many cases, attempting to take over the lands by force of arms.”

This shows that the Fulani has a character that is antithetical to the hopes and yearnings of other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria and around West African sub-continent. They are used to taking things that do not belong to them by force. Exploiting the oil of the Niger Delta in the way and manner it had been for this long is not out of character for the Fulani. Spending the national resources to which they contribute next to nothing like a drunken “gambler” is part of the Fulani nature. The Fulani has no capacity to be compassionate where his interests are at stake. Thus the murdering of a Ken Saro Wiwa here and a Dele Giwa there, or another Akaluka here and Oluwatosin there means nothing to the Fulani. It is just a way of life.

The essence of bringing this to the attention of the world, especially the ethnic nationalities in the bondage called Nigeria is to let them know what they are engaged with in the struggles to be free and have self determination. The Fulani is not prepared to negotiate if he is going to lose out. He will fight very ruthlessly.

The only language the Fulani understands is war and conquest. All you need to do is just listen to Mallam Sale Bayero in the quote above. Listen to the post-humous voice of Ahmadu Bello echoing from the grave as he uses the words “ruthless” and “conquer” in speaking about his supposed fellow countrymen. Listen to Mallam Bala Garuba in the West African Pilot newpaper speaking of “conquest” of his supposed countrymen. Listen to Mallam Falalu Bello (MD, Unity Bank of Nigeria) threatening “there will be no real peace in this country moving forward,” because he feels the Fulani has no control over the resources and means of others. Listen to Balarabe Musa making a case for permanent rulership of Nigeria by the Fulani. Listen to the Bala Usman of this world as to why no one of other ethnic nationality should be allowed to rule Nigeria. Listen to the silent yells of Maitama Sule making the same case. Yes, the nightmare of Dan Fodio’s dream may hang like a noose around the Fulani’s neck, but the Fulani would never give up without a fight.

The Hausa people are still wondering how they have become so slavish to the Fulani. They are still wondering how their very valuable heritage has been polluted and dumped for that of the Fulani settlers. The Hausa are still wondering how the great histories of their forefathers have been supplanted by that of the Fulani to whom they have shown great love and hospitality.

Every ethnic Nationality in Nigeria needs to be aware that the Hausa people are very confused right now. Some of their elites have been incorporated by the scheming and secretive Fulani. The Fulani are very few in numbers and they have brainwashed the Hausa people to believe that their (Hausa) destinies are tied together with that of the Fulani because of Islam. The Fulani use the Hausa numbers as a buffer to perpetrate Fulani evils in Hausa name. What they have done to Hausa people is to make them believe in the Fulani as the path finders for them (Hausa).

Now, it is the Hausa who is used to fight the Fulani fights and battles. This is what Sir. Ahmadu Bello, taking a page off the book of his Fulani great grand father, Uthman Dan Fodio, has also done with other minority groups in the North of Nigeria, using them as tools for the Fulani conquest of Nigeria. As pointed out above, this trick has been extended to all ethnic nationalities in Nigeria and as such one could find among them corrupt leaders who hold allegiance to the Sultanate rather than their peoples.

This writer has his doubts if the Hausa people would ever wake up. Even, if and when they wake up, the benefits of greed and the unabated appropriation of resources for which they have never labored out of the Niger Delta and other parts of Nigeria would still guarantee the Hausa – Fulani cooperation.

The minority ethnic nationalities in the North are waking up. They are realizing that they are slaves in their own lands. They are just realizing that they have been fighting the battles of Fulani to their own and their peoples’ detriment. They have just realized that cows are much more treasured by the Fulani than the Birom mothers, Tiv wives, Jukun sisters, Igala children, Nupe brothers and Kataf fathers.

The Fulani is a fiercely ambitious man, contrary to what Lord Lugard is trying to make us believe. The Fulani would plunder, loot, rape, maim and kill in pursuit of this ambition. The Fulani would take advantage of the weaknesses of his host and supplant him and appropriate his wealth and means. The Fulani for the last 200 hundred years has been at loggerhead with every known hospitable host of his, not just in Nigeria but in West African sub region. The Fulani ambitions are intolerant of the existence and well being of others. This is where one could agree with Lord be Lugard – that the Fulani is “seriously diseased” and “a menace to any community to which he seeks to attach himself.”

The ethnic nationalities in all of Nigeria still stand a good chance to be free. That chance would fizzle and dissipate without standing firm, strong and willing to make the necessary sacrifice that would be required. It is time to repel the Fulani imperialism and or neo-colonialism. It is time to reclaim our freedom and rights. It is time to seek any means necessary to be free from the bondage called Nigeria. Cows could not, should not, would not and must not be more important than our daughters and sons, brothers and sisters as well as our mothers and fathers.

MEMORISE:

The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow. 2 Kings 5:27

READ: 2 Kings 5:20 - 27

20 But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the LORD liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.

21 So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?

22 And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.

23 And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him.

24 And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed.

25 But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither.

26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?

27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

MESSAGE

It's is important to make the right choices in life, especially because one's children could also be affected by them. When the army that invaded Sodom took lot into captivity in Genesis 14:8-12, they didn't leave his children at home. The children were taken into captivity because their father made the choice to stay in Sodom. Kora, Dathan and Abiram decided to oppose Moses and they died with all their family members (Numbers 16:28-33). Gehazi decided to follow Namaan to get some gifts, even though he knew his master would not approve. When Elisha cursed Gehazi with leprousy, he said it would be on him and his seed forever (2 Kings 5:27). In Daniel 6, when some people decided to plot against Daniel so that he could die in lion's den,  their children were not call to the meeting; however, when Daniel came out of the den alive and the king summoned those who plotted so that he could throw them in the Lions' den, he asked that their wives and children suffer the same consequences.

It may interest you to know that the choices of your relatives and close friends also have an impact on you. Thus, when a relative is making wrong choices, warn him or her because when trouble comes, the fellow wouldn't be the only one to suffer. This is particularly true of your children. If your child is going the wrong way, warn the child and do everything in your power to ensure that he or she returns to the godly path.

Proverb 29:15 says,

The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

Even if a person does not suffer anything as a direct result of not correcting his or her child, such a person would still experience shame and this is a terrible thing. The elders says that one can get embarrassed once, but shame last forever. You don't want to live in shame forever just  because you did not warn your child when he or she started going wrong. You therefore need to be very particular about the choices your children make. Don't just leave them to themselves- guide them, while depending on the Holy Spirit to help you know which way is best for the child.

PRAYER POINT

Father, help me to guide my children to always make godly choices in life, in Jesus name.

HYMNAL: O GOD OUR HELP IN AGES PAST

1 O God, our help in ages past,

Our hope for years to come,

Our shelter from the stormy blast,

  And our eternal home.

2 Under the shadow of Thy throne

  Thy saints have dwelt secure;

Sufficient is Thine arm alone,

  And our defence is sure.

3 Before the hills in order stood,

  Or earth received her frame,

From everlasting Thou art God,

  To endless years the same.

4 A thousand ages in Thy sight

  Are like an evening gone;

Short as the watch that ends the night

  Before the rising sun.

5 Time, like an ever-rolling stream,

  Bears all its sons away;

They fly forgotten, as a dream

  Dies at the opening day.

6 O God, our help in ages past,

Our hope for years to come,

Be Thou our guard while life shall last,

  And our eternal home.

MEMORISE:

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12

READ: Proverbs 3:5 -8

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

MESSAGE

In life, we make choices every day. There are little choices and

there are major ones. The Bible reading for today says we should not lean on our own understanding in making a choice at all. For example, the choice of passing a particular route on your way to work or wherever you are going should not be made alone. Ask "Lord, which route should l take as l go out now?" Your 'little' choices must be committed into the hands of God.

If little choices should be committed into God's hands, then how much more major ones. The choice of which school to apply to, which organization to work for, which neighborhood to live in and so on, can have far-reaching consequences on our lives. For example, it was during my undergraduate days that I met a lecturer who decided to supervise me for my Master degree in the University of Lagos. Thus, I did my masters at Unilag, and it was while I was there that I became born again in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, joined the workforce of the Church and eventually became the General Overseer as God had ordained it. Thank God that He ordered my steps right, even when I was not yet born again. Now that I am born again, He has been faithful to guide me aright all through, even up to now.

The choice of what school to attend or what organization to work for can end up determining who you marry. The choice of which country to settle in can determine if you will fulfill your destiny or not. Our memory verse today shows clearly that wrong decision can lead to very grave repercussions. We need God's guidance for us to be able to make the right decisions (Proverbs 14:12).

According to 2 Corinthians 4:18, what you see in the physical is temporal; it is in the spirit that you get the real picture of things. Jesus Christ said in John 14:26:

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you.

As a true child f God, you have the Holy Spirit within you. Whenever He prompt you to take the right decision, make sure you follow His lead so that He can take you to that great destiny that God has prepared for you.

PRAYER POINT

Holy Spirit, guide me in all my choices and give me the grace to always listen to You, in Jesus name.

HYMNAL: WILL YOUR ANCHOR HOLD IN THE STORM OF LIFE

1 Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,

When the clouds unfold their wings of strife?

When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain,

Will your anchor drift or firm remain?

We have an anchor that keeps the soul

Stedfast and sure while the billows roll,

Fastened to the Rock which cannot move,

Grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love.

2 It is safely moored, 'twill the storm withstand,

For 'tis well secured by the Savior's hand;

And the cables passed from His heart to mine,

Can defy the blast, through strength divine.

3 It will firmly hold in the straits of fear,

When the breakers have told the reef is near;

Though the tempest rave and the wild winds blow,

Not an angry wave shall our bark o'erflow.

4 It will surely hold in the floods of death,

When the waters cold chill our latest breath;

On the rising tide it can never fail,

While our hopes abide within the veil.

MEMORISE:  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 18:19

READ: Ecclesiastes 4:9 -12

9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.

10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?

12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

MESSAGE

There is power in numbers. By God's standard and according to today's Bible  reading, two individuals have an advantage over one. We also see this in our memory verse today, where Jesus told us (His followers) that when as little as just two of us come together to ask God for something, He will, perform it (Matthew 18:19). This shows us that the Lord wants us to be united as He assures us that whatever we ask of Him in agreement shall be done.

We all need partners to work for success in our Christian race. God provided a partner for Moses in the person of Aaron his brother (Exodus 4:10-17). Hur, another minister under Moses, aided him in his Intercessory prayer for Israel's victory in their war with the Amalekites (Exodus 17:8-13). Some Christians are ignorant of the spiritual aid they can get from their fellow believers. During a crisis, we need partners, as in case of David's encounter with a descendant of giants. It was Abishai - David 's aide, who killed the giant that would have slain David. No one knows the rank of Abishai in the army, yet he was David's rescuer on that terrible day of the battle 2 (Samuel 21:15-17).

In the Bible reading of today, the word of God expressly tells us the benefits of the numerical strength of a people. This is why l always emphasize the numerical growth of the Church. The benefits of the numerical strength of the Church cannot be overemphasized. A project is more easily accomplished by 200 people than with just 20. This also reveals the benefit of marriage. A lot of blessings accrue to holy matrimony and this is why the Bible says two are better than one (Ecclesiastes 4:9).

Another major benefit of coming together as Christians is the privilege to enjoy the presence of the Lord. Jesus Christ promised in Matthew 18:20 that wherever  two or three persons are gathered in His name, He will fellowship with them. Beloved, let us endeavour to encourage communal Christian living and mutual support -the benefits are indeed numerous (Psalm 133:1-2).

ACTION POINT

The church should encourage corporate social responsibility that enhances unity and power.
