Court awards #20b damages against Lawless DSS for illegal raid of Igboho house

Court awards #20b damages against Lawless DSS for illegal raid of Igboho house

An Oyo State High Court on Friday granted a relief sought by Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho and ordered the Nigerian government to pay him N20 billion.

The Court Orders the Major General Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government To Pay Sunday Igboho N20billion for the illegal raid of his house in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.

In its ruling, the court also dismissed an application filed by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, challenging its jurisdiction to hear allegations against Nigerian government agencies.

The court was expected to deliver judgement or ruling on the N500 billion fundamental human rights case instituted by the Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho against the Nigerian Government and Department of State Services (DSS).

Adeyemo Sunday Igboho had through his lawyer, Yomi Alliyu, filed a suit challenging the invasion of his house in Ibadan on July 1 by operatives of the DSS, also known as the State Security Service (SSS) or secret police.

Igboho is, among others, seeking an order of the court to declare the invasion of his residence by DSS operatives as illegal and an infringement on his fundamental human rights.

The three respondents are Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), as the first respondent, SSS as the second respondent and Director of SSS in Oyo State as the third respondent.

Counsel for the AGF, Abubakar Abdullahi had filed an application challeging the ability of a state High Court to hear the activities of Nigerian government agencies.

But citing several judgements by the Supreme and Appeal courts in respect of the ability of the state high court to hear such cases, Justice Ladiran Akintola said the invasion of the house of the applicant violated his fundamental human rights as stipulated in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as ammended.

“Unfortunately, this court is not a Father Christmas and cannot award the sum of N500 billion as requested by the applicant but the court retrained the respondent from arresting or harassing the applicant. He has right to his free movement as contain in section 35.1 (a)(b) of the 1999 constitution as amended.”

Meanwhile, Buhari led Nepotic Government is known for lack of respect for the rules of law, fundamental human rights and fragrance disobedience to court orders.

Aare Gani Adams slams DSS over failure to present Igboho’s aides in Court

Th
e Aareonakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams, on Friday took a swipe at the Department of State Services(DSS) over its failure to present all the 12 aides of Yoruba nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, before the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday.

Recall that the 12 Igboho’s aides were arrested, while two were killed on July 1, when the DSS raided his Soka residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.

However, the DSS on Thursday claimed it had only three of the aides in its custody as against the initial 12 reported in the media.

Reacting to the development, Aare Adams in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Aderemi, said the conduct of the secret police truly showed a complete affront on human rights.

Wondering why it has taken the DSS so much time to investigate the circumstances surrounding the ugly incident, during which two of Igboho’s aides were killed, the Yoruba generalisimo insisted that the DSS is exhibiting pure neglect and arrogance that are capable of discrediting the image of the secret police.

“Our constitution is clear about the rights of every citizen, that anybody arrested must be taken to court latest 24 hours after his arrest, and such rights must be protected under the law. It is sad and most unfortunate that the DSS has arrogated to itself the power that usually reminds us of the inglorious years of the military where citizens rights have no basis in their law.

“Therefore, the DSS’ failure to present Igboho’s aides in court for the second time was a flagrant display of lawlessness and gross injustice. Ideally, it is only the President and the vice president of the country that have that immunity as provided by our constitution. So, why is the DSS finding it too difficult to allow the constitution to take its course as it is done in other climes?”

THE PURPORTED OBASANJO MEETING: Ilana Omo Oodua Knows Nothing About It - Statement

THE PURPORTED OBASANJO MEETING: Ilana Omo Oodua Knows Nothing About It - Statement

There is a shrill call circulating all over the social media via a video recording by an unidentified individual that there is a meeting of all Yoruba sons and daughters with General Olusegun Obasanjo scheduled for Saturday.

*Ilana Omo Oodua* wishes to emphatically dissociate itself and all its affiliate organizations from the call for, or the organization of, any such meeting.

The former Nigerian President has not informed us, nor called any of our leaders, especially Prof. Banji Akintoye, the leader of the Yoruba Self Determination Movement, to put us on notice.

The video is totally empty on detail and content.

 Many questions abound:

Which Saturday is it being slated for: tomorrow or next week? What date, specifically?

Which Obasanjo house in Sango Ota? His farm is at Ota; There is no place called Sango Ota. His three known houses, or places of abode, are in Abeokuta: on the hill, at the Library and at his family house in the centre of the ancient city.

What is the agenda of such a meeting?

Who convened it? Is it at the instance of Obasanjo himself?

What is the name of the person making the announcement? Which group does he represent or belong to?

Whose interest is he serving?

Who is sponsoring the convergence?

Obasanjo is a Yoruba. He is within his moral right as a Yoruba elder to call for a meeting of Yoruba people of any hue, concerning matters affecting the Yoruba race.

But if it is on the matter of Yoruba self-determination or on the subsisting Yoruba affliction and persecution within Nigeria, getting such a call from an anonymous individual on social media is suspicious and disorienting, to say the least.

The acknowledged leader of the Yoruba self-determination struggle is Prof. Banji Akintoye. Gen Obasanjo, or his representatives or agents could have reached out to him to assemble credible Yoruba groups for such a discussion.

That could have earned the invitation more weight and credibility.

This particular call is uncoordinated, sounds suspicious and would lead to a meeting (if at all any such meeting holds) that is very unlikely to bear any positive fruit for our course.

If anybody chooses to attend the meeting, *Ilana Omo Oodua* states here clearly that he or she does so at his or her own risk.

*Ilana Omo Oodua* is presently inundated with many court cases involving Yoruba sons and daughters illegally arrested, detained or caused to be detained by the Nigerian government.

The attendant expenditure on legal matters and logistics issues is quite challenging.

We may not be in a position to bail out, or rescue, any wayfarer caught in the web of this particular adventure!

Attendee’s discretion is therefore advised.

Thank you.

“ANONYMOUS”: Kanu’ll die around Sep. 25, Israel to attack Nigeria, plus other expositions on Igbokwe, Igboho, ors

“ANONYMOUS”: Kanu’ll die around Sep. 25, Israel to attack Nigeria, plus other expositions on Igbokwe, Igboho, ors

The group simply known as “ANONYMOUS” has release the latest “EXPOSITION 7” for the month of July, 2021.

The exposition said, among other things that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will die on or before September 25, 2021.

It also stated that Israel will attack Nigeria over the three Israelis detained by the Department of State Security Service (DSS) for alleged involvement with IPOB.

Other issues in the exposition include the “Joseph Igbokwe, a man who’s sold out his own people to the enemy”, Mr. Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, et al.

ANONYMOUS became popular for saying things that are considered “weird” and “unpopular” but later lived up to the predictions, even in small details.

Below is the full exposition by “ANONYMOUS”:

To the many who demanded for the writing! Here it is. We no longer post the writing alongside the video as many read and ignore the video. Sometimes, There’s always a hidden information in the video which you always miss when you don’t listen.

Hello, this is Friday, 16th July , exactly 7 p m here in Hawaii. We are Anonymous. We apologize for the delay again in the exposition 7, exposition 7 was supposed to have been done, it has however had a lengthy delay just like the exposition 6C.

This is because, the agendists keeps monitoring the Anonymous and its exposition, the agendists always improvises on a more regular basics as we keep pushing them back to there thinking room every now and then.

The agendists have so far stopped there communication through emails, phone calls and even WhatsApp as they have now opted for what they think is a more secure means of communication, all in a bid to outride the Anonymous.

That is total bullshit! You can’t hide from the Anonymous, you can’t stop the Anonymous, the Anonymous sees all things. You can’t hide from the Anonymous.

We first wish to send a stern warning to the agendists and the Nigerian government at large. It would interest you to know, you are threading on a deadly part, the capture of the Israeli citizens and there detain would smell doom if not immediately handled.

The nation of Israel never joke with there citizens, you must be aware, there’s an imminent attack on Nigeria from Israel if the three arrested are not released by the 1st day of August. Missiles would be unleashed and your facilities would be targeted, your homes would be destroyed.

Again feel free to doubt as always, this would happen and your capital would be leveled to zero. You might not be alive to regret after all.

Good morning once again and welcome to Exposition 7. This is Anonymous.

First we would address the 25th Day of September, remember, we mentioned this date many months ago, as usual, many ignored, many called it a guess game, many even went as far and called us fake, but what is the outcome of your utterances? Did it change anything? Absolutely nothing was changed.

It would interest you to know, the judges would be on vacation until the 20th day of September. During this period, the agendists believes Mr Kanu would die of health related problems in detention as he would be outrightly be denied access to his personal doctor.

It might interest you to know, if Mr Kanu is alive by 20th of September, a bio means would be deployed. Nnamdi must die before 25th September or on that date. 25th September is a Saturday, Mr Kanu Nnamdi would be reported critically ill and sick, however, nothing can be done as that is an off day in the Nigerian civil system.

You must stop the doubt game and move swiftly to avert this. The people from the eastern region must pull all strings now to avert this. If not done, all this said shall happen and nothing would change this.

However, the death of Nnamdi Okwudili would change nothing in the quest for the new nation, the death of Mr Kanu would raise many more Kanu’s which would do a deadlier work than the current Kanu. We advice the agendists to go back to there drawing boards, the agenda won’t be a success, this is not a guess, this is a certainty.

You can’t succeed with the agenda. The Anonymous already made the world aware of your deadly plans, anonymous is always ahead of you, you can only try but at this point, it is an already failed attempt.

The people of the East must be aware of a man with name Joseph Igbokwe, a man who’s sold out his own people to the enemy, you must be cautious of the mentioned as he’s planted secret spies across the territory, your activities are monitored and information transmitted back to the agendists.

Mr Joseph so far has masterminded the killing of numerous wealthy men from this region whom they believe sponsors the move for a new nation. Many more wealthy families would suffer similar faith if Mr Joseph Igbokwe is not immediately tackled.

Mr Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo also known as Mr Igboho must be thankful to have survived the attack on his house a few weeks ago. We had talked about this before time, we had as well mentioned clearly the pattern of attack, as usual, it was doubted, however, that did not stop the exposition from coming through.

Mr Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo must be mindful of his followers, there is a traitor who is really very close to him, a person whom he may never believe to be a traitor. This person gives out his details and way out to the agendists, Mr Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo must watch his back carefully now as this is a terrible time.

Mr Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo must be protected at all cost! We talked about the planned attack on his house, we talked about the planned assassination, all these already happened. But in all, just like Mr Kanu, Mr Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo must not die!

Mr Adeniyi must be careful of his mistress! His close aids and trusted allies. Mr Adeniyi must not allow himself die like a little puppet.

We shall be back with the major exposition soon; we shall be exposing the agreement between the agendists and Kenya, Ghana and South Africa, the south must be aware, these mentioned countries would eventually be there greatest enemy.

Do not hate the people of these mentioned countries anyway, for it is there leadership who’s decided to be used by the agendists.

You must not forget,

We are Anonymous

We are Legion

We do not Forgive

We do not Forget

Expect us.

ENCOUNTER WITH FULANI HERDSMEN BY BOLAJI AKINYEMI; ‘THEY HAVE NO TIME THREATENING ANYBODY, THEY ACT, IN TERROR BUT THEY ARE NOT TERRORISTS

ENCOUNTER WITH FULANI HERDSMEN BY BOLAJI AKINYEMI; ‘THEY HAVE NO TIME THREATENING ANYBODY, THEY ACT, IN TERROR BUT THEY ARE NOT TERRORISTS

Let me start by reminding you that bandits are not enemies of Nigeria like Nmadi Kanu and Sunday Igboho, who are unable to set an APC on fire, don’t misquote me o, I meant Armoured Personnel Carrier, nor shot down an Airforce jet fighter. Their nuisances is getting too much and Baba is pretty uncomfortable. Kanu is always ranting and talking like a Parrot, his talks are threats to national security. Igboho’s street possessions are disturbing the quietness of the Villa, so much so that the foot sounds of the crowds is terrorizing the country and makes it impossible for “Baba oni bàbà'” to sleep, haba! ? fi oro ro ara yín wo now, ?e bí ?yin na ni Baba?

Herdsmen are foot soldiers of the bandits, a very respectful group giving Government no reasons to worry, but citizens, every reason to. Like they say, it’s different strokes for different folks!

Bandits are friends of Nigeria, they are not hiding in the comfort of London, nor roaming the streets of Nairobi, but in the forests of Nigeria with all its adverse effects, strategizing and laboring to help us achieve a “ONE NIGERIA” .

They have no time threatening anybody, they act, in terror but they are not terrorists; killing, kidnapping, sacking villages, hosting their Emirates flags and conducting peaceful local government elections, no ballot box snatching, everything went well without the fear of any “Oluomo” and his road masters. Moment from now you will have reasons to compare their elections with the one holding in Lagos today.

They are not economic saboteurs, they just collect farming permits to the knowledge of Nigerian Army, and if you don’t pay and go to farm, don’t hold the army or our government responsible for whatever happens to you. They are not docile like former Governor of Osun, whose State of Osun brand couldn’t be perpetuated after him. Now as Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola who proposed a new marriage levy lacks the courage to enforce it. Trust Sheikh Gumi’s brethren, “àw?n eleyi”, you pay marriage levies at gun point, if not the bride and the groom will be whisked into the jungle of banditry. May be the Honorable Minister should consult them as per operational model to help increase IGR, at least results terminate insults and they are having results.

Herdsmen are a very caring tribes, animal friendly too, if not for them, you people would have been treating goats, sheep and cows as animals don’t have the right of way in the jungle, but no way, they are standing up for animals against humans leading hungry herds just to feed on labors of farmers in your homelands, and you people are shouting, ” ?e kí ?ran ma j?un ní”; in a jungle of no justice?

They are not like Sunday Igboho making noise in cities in the name of rallies, but when they show up in the city at your house garden only God will help you as He did me.

I had reasons to be in Abuja, I didn’t say Abaji, read me clearly, Abuja FCT, and was accommodated in a beautiful duplex in the elitist area of Wuse, overlooking Sheraton hotel. I was in my room when I heard a gun shot, worried though, but felt there should be no need to, because of the presence of the mobile policemen, how wrong I was, a noise followed after some 10 minutes. I became uncomfortable and needed to find out what the issues were. I left my room and went outside towards the garden where the noise was coming from and some Fulani leaders were raging in anger and an associate of my friend who accommodated me was literally prostrating to them, they were breathing fire and brimstone demanding for the policeman who fired the shot. The boasting was out of this world; their “Sheu Garuba”, (they also have a spokesman) said; “I have called the Commissioner of police for FCT, to confirm posting policemen to this garden, I have called the IGP, an explanation must be given for this! I was lost with the daring boldness of private citizen demanding that we should hand the officer of the state who fired the shot to him for punishment. Call it effrontery occasions by impunity? He went further, “who does the owner of the house think he is”? No Governor can dare us”. All these he said through an interpreter to my hearing, I couldn’t bear his intoxication of Buhari’s administration’s nepotism. I respected myself and left him and went to the officer who fired the shot to ask for what really happened, he told me of the consistency of the herdsmen grazing their herds in the garden.

He said they have had it tough stopping them. But today he asked them to move their herds out of the garden and in the moment of argument a boy made a sound, whatever that meant to the cow, they all turned towards him (the officer). He of course was trying to beat a retreat when he fell down and the rifle discharged and the bullet hit one of the cows on the leg. Herdsmen don’t joke, the cow will need surgery to have the bullet remove. Thank God the idea of the best veterinary center in the world never crossed their mind, we would have been talking in thousands of dollars during negotiations for compensation. Please, avoid herdsmen o, only payments settled the matter. While bandits are collecting ransom for evils against you and not the “state”, herdsmen are getting compensation for grazing their herds on your farm and garden. What a tribal consolidation!

President Muhammadu Buhari, Sir, this was how it started in Igangan, it is now at your backyard. A resolvable crisis was left to fester, the Presidency kept quiet while your people had upper hand, until things went out of hands. Mr President Sir, for fear of reprisal attack which your people are known for, you can only imagine the demand they make for compensation, while they pay nothing for damages done to farms and gardens.

May I appeal to all Nigerians at home an in diaspora, to please, lend their voices to our cry. We are not talking about some remote village on the backside of Osun State but Wuse Zone 3, FCT Abuja, not about a maize farm, but the beautification effort of an individual, we are not talking about an illiterate farmer but an educated and respectable citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria! It is about time we rise and be supported by the global communities to tell our President to help us beg his people.

They are not like Kanu and Igboho, dissidents who must not be tolerated for any reasons whatsoever, neither are they like someone who have to travel all the way to Atlanta to perform money alert miracle, but probably still collected offerings in the same meeting. This guys are great, they stay in the forest and “monies” are delivered in Obi Cubana’s mode; CASH! You don’t have to show your phone screen on camera, even Thomas’s had their mouth agape at the sight of “ape ká nu ko”, apology to Professor Ebenezer Obey.

Don’t come here proving the first University in Nigeria is in Ibadan, or that the first TV station in Africa was built in “show sure”. Just keep it to yourself that an Igbo man was the first to buy himself out of slavery to freedom. We are not talking about education and civilization, but native Arabian intelligence of Mansa Musa era with which tribes were subjugated and their territories taken, and no Governor in Nigeria can match Nasir El-Rufai when it comes to subtle advocacy for his tribe, and he is absolutely in support of this position of mine that bandits have never challenged the sovereignty of Nigeria or the authority of Mr President as the Commander In Chief of the Armed forces! So, I don’t want any low I.Q person to come here to say what is not. Just help us beg Mr President and his people to let us be!

*Kanu The Adulterer And Igboho The Idolator; Choosing Between Sin And Crime*,

By Bolaji O. Akinyemi, July 04, 2021

We should have known we were emboldening our monster against ourselves when we let it loose against others

The beauty of a democratic society is its penchant for the rule of law. For this, our founding fathers craved when in hope of it, they fought for freedom from our colonial masters opting for self rule. The generation after them who were nursed and nurtured for leadership from the dividends of self rule through regional arrangements in a working federation will not put up with the hijack of power by the military. They fought till they saw the military back to the barracks but not out of power.

Militocracy was given in exchange to us for democracy by the reason of decrees they renamed the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; this document is a folly, but the foolishness it dispenses par time is a function of personality of its operators, particularly, the President, the head of the Judiciary and most importantly the heads of the Legislative arms in the office of the Senate President and Speaker, house of representatives. This aberration is the tint of religion upon our secular state.

The weakness of our constitution is often seen through the high handedness of the office of the President, little surprise that Muhammadu Buhari has left no one in doubt of his being an alien to the spirit of democracy. Our desperate need for change concealed the despotic tendencies of our new President. Even when the news broke out that our President had given order for the quarters of some judges to be invaded in the middle of the night in a gestapo manner, "we had it accommodated under the deception of fighting corruptions in the judiciary". Some of us saw the hand writing on the wall and warned that we are heading for dangerous times, knowing that our rights in a democracy will amount to nothing if we fail to stand up for those who should stand up for us. The instrument of the defense of the common man through our courts was damaged when judges' homes were invaded in manner we are yet to adopt at dealing with known criminals thereby truncating our collective desires for peace. Miyetti Allah, unlike our judges, has openly admitted carrying out attacks on certain communities and persons without any consequences.

We should have known we were emboldening our monster against ourselves when we let it loose against others. Boko Haram are known terrorists by global index and so consequently, are criminals by global standards, but not in Nigeria!  Committing crime is not what makes people criminals under this Government, but your tribe and religion. The nepotism of this administration reaches to the highest heaven, so much more that tribes that are not Fulani are criminalized, so, whatever those other tribes do, is a crime! Whereas Fulanis, as 1st class citizens, are conferred with justice whatever their doings; right or wrong, the rest of us must look away like our President, while we hail, sai Baba! For Fulanis from any where in the world, are fathers the moment they step on Nigeria's soil as our ancestral lands are  'gifts' from their god to their father, Uthman Dan Fodio and ourselves, slaves bequeath to farm our lands for their cows. A hundred of us is not worth one of their cows, I don't see what Kanu have said in his anger that can equate this generational provocation made to a people forbidden to be!

Boko Haram, with just a little over 30,000 murders unanswered for from 2002, had the privilege of their welfare discussed on the floor of the senate, raised by their Senator. Till today, they are still repenting and getting integrated into our national life. But a mention of the agitation of Indigenous People of Biafra who are fed to dancing pythons and smiling crocodiles is forbidden in the hallowed chamber of our National Assembly.

We have fed our hydra headed monster in power, today we are confronted with a multi headed beast, suckling, drinking and spilling blood across the country. For no just cause, this monster comes against us in different ways aside the Boko Haram who spill blood in minimum of hundreds of souls. There are the killer herders who come close to them. Then of course the trading arm of this evil network called bandits whose major preoccupation is to kidnap for ransom to fund their core terror attacks and if ransom is not paid in time, the victim gets killed.

This group have a face in the public, who is soliciting our understanding to understand their plight that they are not criminals and shouldn't be called bandits less they become angry? Their solicitor is also the Negotiator General who advises the Government on when to and what to pay! Yes, "the instruments of debate and dialogue is for engaging human and not beings who are less in value than our cows".

The "animal" in Nnamdi Kanu has violated the human counsel of Sheikh Gumi. Before our Fulani President no one has the right to be angry except humans. But the Creator of all bequeathed rights even to animals.

Ṣùgbọ́n ajá mó ọmọ tí ẹ fún ló mú, o mo ti odù oya kii mọ́lẹ̀. Dogs know how to breastfeed its puppies, but it is skillful at hunting grasscutter.

Fulani demanded for compensation from this administration over the need to settle their brothers who came from President Buhari's ancestral home of Niger Republic and other West Africa neighboring countries to help their brothers become governors and President in Nigeria. For which there are a phantom Fulani radio projects invented by Lai Mohammed's ministry of information. A whooping 100Billion was allegedly paid to Miyetti Allah, a deafening silence on this important issue trading our sovereignty to sustain the rampaging lawlessness that the foreign militia has become to our national security greets us from the National Assembly.

Compensation has become the sole rights of our President's tribe to claim in Nigeria. When cows are killed a hundred lives does not suffice for the life of a cow. But indigenous tribes dare not ask for compensation for people killed and their property destroyed. The fall out of south east crisis was a demand by the same people for onions, but Igangan losses must be born by the loser for daring to stand up to their oppressors. This is the injustice that made a "none entity", the entity to which millions of Yoruba at home and in diaspora look today for freedom. Do I need to remind our political class that when the nobles refuses to stand up for the just cause of the common man a dynamics of power shift is activated.

This is the fertile ground of ideology nursing the trees of the likes of Kanu and Igboho, many more of them will grow even if both are cut down without altering the ideology of dominance of Fulani race and the docility of our elected leaders to the National Assembly.

It is needless for Sunday Igboho's house to be invaded in the middle of the night by a combined team of DSS Operatives and the military in the dead of the night acting on information which became intelligence upon which the house was broken into without a warrant! We have no one to turn to except God, because the court that should have been our hope was raided and the judiciary eventually toppled when Onoghen was gotten rid of while we hailed Sai Baba!

Leaving Kanu and Igboho to face the music of this desperados in their Fulanization agenda is simply to postpone our own day of "partying". If only Onoghen has stood up for those judges whose quarters were invaded, he wouldn't have become a victim because Judiciary as an institution would have stood for him and by him. But he watched while the system was castrated only to realize that his office is only as potent as the institution. If only Kanu and Igboho had allowed themselves to be angered by the dehumanizing of the people of Agatu and hadn't waited till their tribes became the reason to exhibit angers, exclusively bestowed on Fulani alone by our National Sheikh, Gumi, may be, they would have had a court to run to. I may not share the ideology of Kanu or the idolatry of Sunday Igboho but in a free society, both are entitled to their convictions and expressions of same. Kanu might have been reckless with words but he is yet to be linked directly with any crime! The invasion of Sunday Igboho's house has led to the abduction of his gods and they are in the custody of DSS, we can only hope that his gods will be safe with Buhari's Government, but his own personal safety is our collective responsibility to ensure. To look away from Kanu's plight is to prepare the flights of terror that this Government has become for an attack against us soon. To ignore Sunday is to wait for our turn.

If the world thinks that democracy confers legitimacy on the Government of Muhammadu Buhari, a review of the attack on Sunday Igboho's house will reveal the short supply of human rights under this administration. Rights, which is the hallmark of any constitutional democracy  are completely eroded that we find it hard to call the attention of global community to the gruesome killing of the feline found in Sunday Igboho's house. If Sunday is a "criminal", was the cat an accomplice? If the guys they killed there were armed, was the cat holding an AK47 to justify the shoot at sight order of the President carried out on it? The event at Soka in Ibadan has overtaken that of the black Tuesday at the Lekki toll gate. Now we know how needless casualties of Government killings are handled; their bodies are taken away!

Sunday Igboho has had peaceful protests in other places in the South West without a single report of violence to the police, but the planned protest for Lagos must be stopped I believe to the knowledge of the Chief Security Officer of the State who also doubles as the Executive Governor from whom the Commissioner of Police must generate his brief to interpret the orders from Abuja to the public. How much of the fear of Lagos was unleashed on Igboho's house only Sanwó-Olu and possibly Tinubu can tell? The attitude of Lagos to our collective well-being in the South West all right thinking should be probing. The floppy approach of LASG to Àmọ̀tẹ́kùn and the generosity of Olówó Eko who gave 50 million naira to victims of fire disaster at Kastina market, but, ignored those of Shasha market yet he hopes to benefit from the Zoning of Presidency to the South West. Yorùbás know what to do when that time comes.

Our questions must go to the world, if we hope to stop the monster we have fed against ourselves in the name of democracy. We need to rid our streets of protests and for now to avoid playing into the hands of a tribe whose mission is nothing but a genocide. We must protect our people against those who are killing indigenous tribes and taking over their lands. Time to take our right and welfare to the chambers of the Senate and the house of Representatives. If Boko Haram had a voice raised for them in the red chamber, our elected representatives at the NASS must be called to duty. We can't be calling for 1963 constitution without demanding for the processes that led to it. Our elected representatives at the federal house then, stood for the people and championed their causes. Who are Nnamdi Kanu and  Sunday Igboho's Senators? Who are their Reps? Answers to these questions will be a good way to address the criminalization of our people without crime and the justification of criminal elements among the Fulani who gloat in crime and pride in violence to our humiliation. It is not a favor to cry for justice, injustice to one, is injustice to all! To stand up now is to do so for yourself!

Federal High Court judge orders Lawless DSS to produce 12 IGBOHO associates illegally detained by the agency

Federal High Court judge orders Lawless DSS to produce 12 IGBOHO associates illegally detained by the agency

An Abuja Federal High Court judge has ordered the Lawless DSS to produce #Oduduwa12 illegally detained by the agency by next week Thursday per Justice Obiora!

The Court on Friday granted the applications of the 12 detained aides of Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu in his ruling on the ex parte application before the court, ordered that the Department of State Service should produce the detained aides of Sunday Igboho in court on the next adjourned date.

Justice Egwuatu also ordered the DSS to show cause why the applicants should not be admitted to bail.

The matter was adjourned to July 29 to take place during the court vacation.

Recall that the 12 detained associates of Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, had instituted a suit against the Department of State Services and its Director-General, Yusuf Bichi.

The applicants’ counsel, Pelumi Olajengbesi, moved his ex parte motion praying the court for an order “mandating and compelling the respondents to produce the applicants” to enable the court “inquire into the circumstances constituting grounds of their arrest and detention” since July 1, 2021 and where it seems fit, grant applicants bail.”

They also sought the order of the court mandating and compelling the respondents to produce the applicants before the court and “show cause as to why the applicants should not be granted bail in accordance with the provision of Section 32 of Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 and other extant laws in Nigeria.”

Olajengbesi argued that the applicants are citizens of Nigeria with inherent rights.

The ex-parte motion was supported by an eight-paragraph affidavit, exhibit, 11-paragraph affidavit of extreme urgency, affidavit of non-complicity of action, and a written address.

Ighoho: There's a Strong Possibility that Extradition Request of Nigerian Government May be Rejected by Benin Republic - Akintoye

Says "Leading Lawyers in Benin Republic Are Now Incharge"

Tuesday July 20th, 2021

A Renowned Historian and Leader of the Umbrella Body of Yoruba Self-Determination Groups, Emeritus Professor Banji Akintoye, has confirmed the arrest of Yoruba Freedom Fighter, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, fondly called Sunday Igboho in Benin Republic.

Akintoye, however, said he, alongside other Yoruba Patriots who are immediately available are currently working to provide assistance for Ighoho to prevent his extradition into Nigeria, saying "Benin Republic is a land that respect the rules of law".

In a statement personally signed by him and made available to News Men on Tuesday by his Communications Manager, Mr. Maxwell Adeleye, Akintoye called on all Yoruba People within and beyond the shores of Nigeria to come out and ensure that their ancestral land is not defeated by invaders.

"I received last night the troubling information that Chief Sunday Adeyemo fondly called Igboho had been arrested at the Cotonou Airport.

"I and other Yoruba Patriots who are immediately available are now working to provide the assistance necessary to ensure that nobody will be able to do to him anything unlawful or primitive and to prevent him from being extradited into Nigeria which is strongly possible.

"Fortunately, Benin Republic is reliably a land of law where the authorities responsibly obey the law. We have secured the services of a leading and highly respected lawyer whom we can confidently rely on.

"What the situation now calls for is that the Yoruba nation at home and in Diapora must stand strong, resolved that neither Sunday Igboho nor any other Yoruba person will henceforth be subjected to inhuman or dehumanizing treatment of any kind.

"We Yoruba nation are, by the grace of God, a very strong nation. We must arise now to show that strength.

"For a start, we must all see to it now that Sunday Ighoho will get his freedom back so as to be able to move and operate as a free person. We all know he has committed no crime.

"We know that some people are trying to suppress or even eliminate him only because he stood up to defend his kinsmen, women and children who are being massively killed and raped  in their ancestral home Land; who are having their assets and means of livelihood destroyed, and who are facing ethnic cleansing and even genocide without having the benefit of protection by the rulers of their country.

"We know, furthermore, that for the protection of his people who are being brutalized, he has joined hands with many of his brethren to take the legally-approriate step, namely to seek the intervention of the International Criminal Court", Akintoye, said.

Like Buhari, like Adolf Hitler: The same scheme now playing out in Nigeria right under our noses

Like Buhari, like Adolf Hitler: The same scheme now playing out in Nigeria right under our noses

Same thing like Adolf  Hitler did in German(1939 - 45) is now playing out in Nigeria right under our noses.

When Adolph Hitler started his plans against the Jews in Germany there were many Jews who couldn't bring themselves to believe that such a scheme against them was possible.

They reasoned like Nationalists, it was such a "parochial" argument by those who carried the "rumours" and traded in "premordial sentiments".

They argued that they have been in Germany and indeed other parts of Europe for CENTURIES and were fully assimilated therein. They considered themselves no less Germans than the race Hitler claimed to be a superior race over theirs.

They were WARNED AND ALERTED but they refused to believe.

There were many men like the great  Scientist,  Albert Einstein who stayed back until it was too late.

Then it came and it caught millions unprepared.  it is said  that over 6m Jews, many from the very cream of Jewry,  eventually got caught in the insanity of Adolph Hitler and were killed in a wave of genocide.

Same thing is playing out in Nigeria right under our noses.

We are seeing it but we are too naive to believe it is happening.

Even with the benefit of hindsight and the MANY SIGN POSTS we see roundabout us we fail to understand the clear dangers of an approaching Genocide on the indigenous people of Nigeria especially the Yorubas and Igbos.

The FULANIZATION AND ISLAMIZATION AGENDA started a long time ago when the Federal Government of Nigeria took over the Missionary schools and at about the same time encouraged a proliferation of warped doctrines of Christianity and Islam which have totally changed the configurations of the social balances all over the country.

The signs are just too obvious. It is so amazing that we refuse to learn from History, history is full of all the ways and style of operation of the Fulani ethnic group,  even history as recent as what happened in the Congo.

The FULANIS have never bothered to cover their tracks, not until recently when they are desperately trying to discourage the study of HISTORY in the curriculum of our schools.

1. By clandestine overtures, the Fulanis have taken over the EXECUTIVE, LEGISLATIVE AND JUDICIAL ARMS OF NIGERIA.

2. They hold the ENTIRE SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE by the jugular - MILITARY, POLICE, IMMIGRATION, CUSTOM, PRISONS, DSS, DMI, NSA etc.

3. They control the SEAS AND WATERS through the NAVY, NPA, NIMASA CUSTOMS etc.

4. They have taken control of the REVENUES majorly determined by NNPC and FOREX .

5. They are in firm control of FOOD by using the Ministry of Agriculture and CBN to encourage the farmers of the North while frustrating those of the South and middle belt by the unceasing  incursions of Herdsmen Militias and their cattle roaming all over the place.

6. By a dangerous play of the highest CONSPIRACIES, they have FLANKED a network of a  group of barbarians masquerading as BANDITS, HERDSMEN MILITIA AND BOKO to cover the entire Norther region from the NW through the NC to the NE. It is only too obvious that these guys are only getting prepped up for their eventual entries down south which is already happening.

7. Over the last 10years there has been a VERY NOTICEABLE mass movement of foot Soldiers all over the south who are currently masquerading as Okada riders, Alms beggars, Mai guard, scrap metal pickers etc.

Those guys are all over the place studying every inch of the land and neighborhoods.

The Fulanis inter-mingle quite pretentiously as though they were assimilating whole in actual fact they are erecting a FULANI CIVILIZATION right under the noses of our people and altering the demographics of these areas

While all these are going our  forest reserves are full of heavily armed Militias who are constantly harrasssing farmers away from their lands, taking People hostages for ransom payments, raping women and killing innocent citizens who happen to be unlucky to meet them.

The combination of these actions further IMPOVERISHED the people, poverty is worsening at an alarming rate and the people are consequently now more malleable and easier to conquer.

8. Our local people are still very much  capable of rising up to the challenges of security around us but our POLITICAL LEADERS have been caged through the instrumentality of POLITICAL EXPEDIENCY, GREED  which has blinded then from reason and the FEAR OF EFCC [ controlled by same Fulanis ] keeps them in check.

The same Political Leaders prevail on our TRADITIONAL INSTITUTIONS, KEPT THEM ON TIGHT LEASH, and our people are rendered impotent.

9. Meanwhile, ISA PANTAMI, a man who is heavily sworn to ISLAMIZATION, is the one in charge of our data. He knows every of our information. He got us into SIM Registration, NIN and very soon, PHONE REGISTRATION.

His skills and resources available to him haven't been able to detect how the Bandits and Boko Haram are able to manage their communications for YEARS.

10. Very so often we hear from AGF Abubakar Malami, SSA Garba Shehu, MIYETTI ALLAH, HISBAH,  FUNAM, GUMI, EVEN ONION SELLERS  and a host of others talk freely, threaten as much as they wish, sometimes they issue ultimatums  and they simply go to bed.

Ahmad Gumi can even publicly accuse Christian SOLDIERS of killing Muslim BANDITS and warning us that we MUST NEGOTIATE with Bandits if we ever hope to find peace.

Garba Shehu can publicly tell Benue People that MUST give lands to Herdsmen for their private businesses if they want to live in peace.

Nasir El-Rufai, a sitting Governor told us publicly that he took money to FULANI BANDITS to beg them to stop killing People.

Aminu Bello Masari, another sitting Governor was happily posing for pictures with an arm-bearing bandit even as a soldier of the Nigeria stood besides them.

11. But Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho do not have the right to talk freely about their desires of SELF DETERMINATION ON THEIR ANCESTRAL LANDS even when they hadn't carried arms.

Even as the Army, DSS and Police know the locations of the Bandits all over, they don't go there but will rather visit the homes of Kanu and Igboho WITH SOLDIERS to "deal with them".

12. Even as Hisbah can stop the sales of BEER IN KANO, publicly destroying the goods of a trader, and the same Hisbah Perverts are telling Tailors to stop using Mannequins for display on their clothes, THE COMBINED DECISION OF 17 GOVERNORS OF THE SOUTH TO STOP OPEN GRAZING will not be allowed by the Northerners!

Even when Zamfara and many Northern State Governors can implement Shari'a and their Hisbah Police to PROTECT RELIGION, the same people will not allow the Governors of the SW to have ÀMÒTÉKÙN to PROTECT THEIR CITIZENS

Oh My God!!!

13. A small Okada riders in Sángo in Ibadan must not hurt his foot otherwise you will have to recieve many Governors from the North accompanying the local Seriki of the area to go BREATHE DOWN THE NECK OF THAT STATE GOVERNOR.

The "Hausa-Fulani" man starts a fight in Ile-Ife and he got beaten by his Yoruba adversary, the immediate reaction of the police is to send invitation to the Yoruba man TO REPORT TO ABUJA immediately.

Iskilu Wakilu was openly terrorising the people of Igangan for years, even said to have boasted that he owned his part of town and no one could remove him. Even when he was heavily armed, some brave sons of Igangan went after him, got him and took him to the Police. The men who thought they were bringing peace got themselves locked up for over three months.

If you as much  as have an argument with an "aboki" in Abeokuta here and you will get MOBBED in matter of minutes by his fellow "abokis". If you attempt to take the matter to the Police station, you will only be wasting your time because you may yourself end up in the cell if you are not careful. They will NEVER be the ones in cell, NEVER!

When a PEOPLE get to the 13 points listed above, they are ripe for any other things that will hit them.

We have now reached the stage where the Fulanis are just short of proclaiming themselves a Superior race/ethnic group in Nigeria

We are  just a few years away from TOTAL SUBJUGATION, especially the Yorubas.

These things are happening at a very alarmingly fast rate in the last 6years of Buhari but we are just to UNREALISTIC AND BLINDED BY THE PRIDE AND FOOLISHNESS OF "CORRECTNESS" to see the clean sign posts of dangers that stare at us.

There will never be a RESTRUCTURING in Nigeria, banish the thought because it doesn't serve the interest of the emerging agenda.

Nothing short of a breakup of Nigeria will save us.

The YORUBAS of SW are particularly the most endangered ethnic group in Nigeria, the earlier we know this the better for us.

IGBOHO IN THE LAST 21 HOURS, STRUGGLE METHODS AND WHY WE MUST DOCUMENT HISTORY PROPERLY

IGBOHO IN THE LAST 21 HOURS, STRUGGLE METHODS AND WHY WE MUST DOCUMENT HISTORY PROPERLY

British warning Fulanis to forget about  past relationship with Britain and try to get along in Nigeria

Igboho

“Hello Femi. I have been trying to reach Sowore. Tell him Igboho has just been arrested in Benin Republic. Let this be out as soon as possible please.” This was the call I received in the early hours of today, Tuesday, 20th July 2021 from an ally of Chief Sunday Adeyemo, a.k.a Sunday Igboho. It was exactly 1.14am, believed to be about 15 minutes after he was arrested.

I am putting this forward because I have noticed that our lackluster stance towards documenting happenings clearly has opened rooms for a lot of retrogressive debates.

It is verifiable that Sahara Reporters published the story FIRST before any media outfit, locally or internationally. Immediately I got the call, I reached out to the appropriate quarters to get the story out. Expectedly, the team was up to work.

The Nnamdi Kanu occurrence was the first thing that came to mind after the call. I had posted confidently on my social media accounts that Kanu’s was an outright abduction before anyone started talking about such, because I know that if his capturing had involved just one known security agency in the world, the news would have filtered out. It wouldn’t have been possible to keep him for ?8 days in a unknown place. I told myself such must not repeat itself and sleep left my already drowsy self.

But for the timely reporting by Sahara Reporters on the arrest,  “Ibu owo Baba Dami” would have been given the Kanu treatment, I so much believe.

If you have tasted state brutality before, you would understand that it is no respecter of status especially when the state has perceived that you are or you are becoming an existential threat to their fiefdom.

As I write this, he’s still in custody as against the WhatsApp broadcasts around that he is free and on his way to Germany.

I write this as an intervention, so as to make the agitators even though we disagree on methods, on diagnosis of our problems and on the drug prescription, see that it is crystal clear that we are all being attacked by common enemies and we must keep watching for one another. There is an urgent need for all oppressed persons to unite now. Anything less of uniting, we will perish separately.

Talking about methods of struggle, it is important now, more than before, for the Odu’a agitators to become organized in the argument for self-determination. Among other things that need serious review is the rhetorics of mysticism or some special treatment of Igboho.

These must be tackled immediately. The propaganda around how spiritually powerful Igboho is, how he must have disappeared from custody and appeared on the plane to Germany, how he couldn’t have been arrested; that he surrendered himself (how do you surrender yourself in Benin, on your way to Germany?), how one of his aides was shot 48 times by the DSS (who was counting?) etc. All must be trashed. These rhetorics are demobilizing genuine people who have heads sitting on their shoulders. Many are getting high on these illusions. This is the naked truth many don’t want to hear. Am I mobilizing for the Odu’a Nation? Maybe No. But for us in the RevolutionNow campaign , the earlier the contradictions in the secessionist agitations are exposed, the satisfied we are. We don’t see the need to defend the truth. The truth is static. It does not go anywhere. People come to it.

Still on mysticism, I belong to a movement that is part of coalition that argues for a total overhaul of our systems (Revolution) as the way out for all peoples in this part of the world. One of the conveners of the movement; prominent in the struggle, Sowore has proven time and again that there’s nothing mystical about him. If it’s about the cheap necklace he loves to wear, he wore same the day he was shot. He has been dragged, harassed, abducted, tortured, like every other Nigerian fighting for survival. The movement has experienced steady growth through these actions of mobilization. By posing as a person of mystical powers in a struggle that involves the masses who are on different levels of consciousness, you are only telling them that you are the Superman who can solve their problems by some magic wand. If Sowore was like that, by now, he would be the only one protesting in all the campaigns the Coalition has called. There’s nothing mysterious about the problems facing us. The solution would also not be mysterious.

I think I would prefer to hear Comrade Igboho and not Igboho Oosa.

I have been detained in one of the deadliest prisons in Nigeria, where all charms known and unknown get neutralized at the first “German gate”. Weren’t the 47 Odu’a Nation protesters just granted bail since July 3rd? The Ogboni King among them could not disappear from Area F.

I am making this intervention now so that my children will not read somewhere someday that while we were fighting to be liberated, a man appeared and strangled Buhari in Office. The future should be for smarter kids and not those of us who believed the 99-1 India Vs Nigeria match. Unfortunately, we are treading that path unconsciously, with “educated” people championing such narrative. More harm to ours struggles, if you ask me.

Away from mysticism, shall we look at methods?

When the issue of Igboho’s intervention started freshly, I have criticized the method of organizing defence against the killers in Igangan and other parts. Igboho could not be moving from one place to another. It’s not sustainable. People have the rights to defend themselves, especially when the government has failed woefully. It is in fact treasonous (betrayal of one’s self) to allow yourself to be killed when you can defend yourself with whatever. I have posited that local security committees under democratic control of the people be formed. It is this committee that would form the first line of defence against all forms of insecurity that have been made endemic by the cluelessness and wickedness of the Buhari regime. Insecurity is even way more than physical protection. That’s a discussion for another day.

Igboho can’t be everywhere.

This idea of creating messiahs out of vanguards of struggles must cease. Persons can start the fire but the masses must organize to sustain the fire. Nigerians must stop outsourcing the fight for their own liberation. Either to local heroes or international community. It is our duty to liberate ourselves. It should be clear to us now that no international community is watching. We should be done with that recital by now. #EndSARS taught us that.

Away from that is also the issue of blackmail that the movement I belong to is in a battle of ascendancy. This is far from the truth. What is the truth is that we are even glad that a large number of our people are becoming more conscious of their environment and are speaking up. The regular faces can now sit back some times while new faces and organizations are speaking. From electoralists to revolutionaries and secessionists, people are coming to the conclusion that we can not continue on this dangerous path and that there is a need for a turn-around.

Coalition for Revolution, to the best of my knowledge has called for the defence and protection of the rights of all agitators and unity of the oppressed, more times than other movements blackmailing it. It is time to treat the tyrants in the language they understand once and for all.

British warning FulaniF to forget about  past relationship with Britain and try to get along in Nigeria

I just finished a conversation with the British International relations analyst based in the US.

This is the summary of what he said.

The British has been warning the Fulani north to forget about the past relationship with Britain and try to get along in Nigeria.

The British view of Nigeria has changed a lot. They don't need slaves again and they don't need foot soldiers, the Fulanis have nothing currently that they can give to Modern Britain if they are not part of Nigeria.

If Nigeria breaks, then the British realizes they will be in a battle with Germany and France for the friendships and loyalty of the Yorubas, the group they consider the most influential in West Africa and probably Africa future, considering the Yorùbá's relationship across West Africa. And right now the British thinks that the Germans have advantages since they had built really good relationships with the Yorùbá's.

The only problem the Germans have is language. The Yorùbá's in West Africa speaks English and France, but Germany is intensifying its languages schools in Lagos and Ibadan, and even considering a symbolic one in Oyo near the Universities. So, the British are doubling their efforts to remind the Yorùbá's they are favored, by appointing more Yoruba-British in to public space and expanding more Visas for entry into Britain. Britain needs more Brains to compete in the world, not more people radicalized with fake Islamic teachings, and in this respect, Buhari is 200 years in the past.

ODUDUWA REPUBLIC: Sunday Igboho Arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic

ODUDUWA REPUBLIC: Sunday Igboho Arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic

Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has been arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic by security operatives in the West African country, acciracco to a report by Sahara Reporters.

According totthe source, Igboho was arrested Monday night after fleeing Nigeria to evade arrest by Nigeria's secret police.

Sahara Reporters citing aasource privy to his departure from Nigeria said he had perfected plans to secretly escape from Nigeria through Cotonou and was heading to Germany but he was, however, nabbed by security operatives in the neighboring country.

Speaking about his arrest, a source privy to the incident, said, "Sunday Igboho has been arrested in Cotonou. He was arrested about an hour ago.

"He was supposed to travel to Germany through Cotonou this night. He wanted to leave Africa through Cotonou. He was arrested by security operatives in Cotonou.

"They are planning to bring him back to Nigeria."

Recall that the Department of State Services had declared Igboho wantedafter its operatives carried out a bloody midnight raid on his residence in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

DSS Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunnaya, had advised Igboho to turn himself in to the nearest security.

“Those cheering and eulogizing him may appeal to or advice him to do the needful,” Afunnaya said. “He should surrender himself to the appropriate authorities. He or anyone can never be above the law."

Pelumi Olajengbesi, one of the lawyers representing Igboho and others arrested in his House, told SaharaReporters he had not confirmed the news of Igboho's arrest in Cotonou.

"I will contact Yomi Aliu (SAN) to verify the news," he said.

Will his arrest stop further agitations for self determination in the face of maladministration and insecurity ravaging the Nigerian space as the Major General Muhammadu Buhari led APC Federal Government turns the deaf ears to the fulani criminalities while Boko Haram and banditry are freely commenting their heinous crime against humanity unhindered.

Igboho, Kanu, Kimathi and betrayals on the soil of Kenya

Igboho, Kanu, Kimathi and betrayals on the soil of Kenya

The claim that Kenya was where Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) was arrested and extradited to Nigeria had better not be true. Kenya? While Nigeria has stubbornly but ostensibly hidden the identity of its accomplice nation in the crude and gangsterish abduction saga, the United Kingdom, whose nationality Kanu holds, through Dean Hurlock, Head of Communications at the British High Commission in Nigeria, swiftly denied that the event took place on its soil.

Kenya’s High Commissioner, Wilfred Machage, attempted to go the UK route by disclaiming the country’s involvement in the messy saga. Kanu’s brother, Emmanuel, however put a lie to the Kenyan government’s claim. “Whilst visiting Kenya, Nnamdi Kanu was detained and handed over to the Nigerian authorities who then flew him to Nigeria,” he had said matter-of-factly. Kenya’s Director General of Immigration Services, Alexander Muteshi, further problematized the mess. Dismissing claims of Kenya’s complicity, he hinted that Kanu might probably have entered the country illegally. “I can’t know that,” Muteshi was quoted to have said by the Kenyan Nation newspaper, maintaining that, “I am not in the picture of his presence in the country. I am only able to tell if somebody entered the country legally.” Did Kenya use Kanu’s incognito entry into Kenya as alibi to trade him to his assailants?

Kenyan chapter of the Human Rights Watch (HRW) also pointed at the Kenyan authorities’ penchant for flagrant violation of asylum seekers’ international rights on the soil of Kenya and aiding their illegal deportation in circumstances that were dangerous and life-threatening. “Kenyan authorities have a responsibility for what happens within their borders, and should investigate the possibility of complicity of its officials in this flagrant disregard for due process,” Otsieno Namwaya, HRW’s East African Director said.

If indeed Kenya, a country which got its independence from Britain on December 12, 1963, due mainly to the revolutionary activities of Kimathi wa Waciuri, better known as Dedan Kimathi Waciuri, could offer to betray another ‘freedom fighter’ on an African soil, then it is rekindling an old betrayal narrative which began 63 years ago. After Kimathi, Kenya’s notoriety for playing Judas has deepened tremendously. It is notorious for disregarding international law on extradition, clandestinely betraying harangued persons who run to its land for safety.

While the Kenyan government denied complicity, as it is doing in the present Kanu case, attention riveted on it as where nephew of Fethullah Gulen, exiled Turkey cleric, Selahaddin was abducted and parceled to Turkey, in cahoots with Turkey’s National Intelligence Organisation (MIT). Accused of belonging to an outlawed organization like Kanu’s IPOB, while Kenya denied being in cahoots with Turkey for the dastardly act, Selahaddin’s wife, Serriye, a teacher in Kenya, said confidently that her husband, a Kenyan registered asylum seeker, who also held a permanent US residency, suddenly went missing on the streets of Nairobi on May 31, 2021, only to appear in handcuffs in Turkey.

Kimathi was one of the few brave Africans who dared to look the colonialists in the eyes, who led an armed struggle against the colonialists in the 1950s. He just couldn’t stomach Britain’s colonial yokes on the shoulders of his Kikuyu people. In standing against Britain, Kimathi became a precursor of the angst and anger of a Kanu who also could not stand the long decades of injustice against his Igbo people. Perpetrated by a combine of Hausa/Fulani and pliable minions in other parts of the country, the mantra of “no victor, no vanquished” after the Nigerian civil war was obviously a lame shibboleth aimed at hoodwinking unsuspecting fools.

Kimathi was labeled terrorist by the British colonial government. He joined and later led the Mau Mau movement, a ferociously militant Kikuyu, Embu and Meru army which initially began as the Land and Freedom Army (KLFA). KLFA’s mission was to reclaim lands which British settlers had appropriated from indigenes without compensation. Like Kanu, from the moment his rebellion became public knowledge, an obsessive hunt was made to bring him to book. He however fled into the forest.

With a bounty of 500 pounds placed on his head, just like the N100 million placed on Kanu’s head, Kimathi lived in the forest for almost four years. However, on October 21, 1956, a British colonial officer, lan Henderson, assisted by intelligence gathered from ex-Mau Mau fighters, tracked Kimathi to his hideout in the Tehu forest, shot him in the leg and was eventually captured by Ndirangu Mau, a fellow Kenyan-born askari who fought on the side of Britain.

Just as the Muhammadu Buhari government celebrates the capture of Kanu like a titivated little urchin, so did Britain do to Kimathi. Armed with the picture of a hitherto invincible Kimathi now lying prostrate on a stretcher without cloth on, his heavily dreadlocked head packed like a wig, Britain mass-circulated leaflets of this picture, numbering over 120,000 copies, so as to demoralize fighters in the Mau Mau war. As Britain went tipsy with joy, Kikuyu people were sad and livid.

Kimathi was subsequently charged with possession of a .38 assault gun and a court of an all-black jury of Kenyans, presided over by Justice O’Connor, sentenced him to death. He was subsequently hanged in the early hours of February 18, 1957 at the Kamiti Maximum Security Prison, aged 37.

Kimathi was buried in an unmarked grave concealed for 62 years thereafter, until October 25, 2019. His last word to his wife, Mukami, was, “I have no doubt in my mind that the British are determined to execute me. I have committed no crime. My only crime is that I am a Kenyan revolutionary who led a liberation army… Now If I must leave you and my family I have nothing to regret about. My blood will water the tree of Independence.”

In 1999, Nairobi similarly delivered then 50-year old Abdullah Ocalan, Kurdish political prisoner, who founded the militant Kurdistan Workers Party, (PKK) to the Turkish National Intelligence Agency (MIT). Turkey soon sentenced him to death.

So, as it did to Kimathi, Ocalan and Selahaddin Gulen, Kenya has again parceled Kanu to the Nigerian lions. Separated by decades in time, personalities involved and the climes of their operations, Kimathi and Kanu were bonded by what they believed was the struggle for their people. But there is the character flaw of their being arbitrary in dealing with the same people they claim they protect.

While Kanu unconscionably reeled out filthy curses and gutter gruff, history says Kimathi crudely beat his people while wielding his notorious double-barreled shotgun. Initially misled into believing that his stay-at-home order in Igboland in May, 2021 failed in Enugu, Kanu had raved and cursed ndi Enugu, saying he was not surprised at their sissy action as many Enugu sons and daughters, according to him, were sired by accursed Hausa soldiers during the civil war! Kimathi too, renowned for his crudity, compelled Kikuyu fighters to swear to oath of allegiance and solidarity to his movement. You broke the oath to your sorrow.

Most likely because of the international implications of incriminating Kenya again, judging by its ignoble pedigree as a land of serial betrayals, the Buhari government has kept sealed lips on the identity of the African nation that played Judas in the Kanu roulette. Nor does it want to go into details of the gangster operation that landed the Biafran struggle activist on Nigerian soil. Doing so would have typecast, as a familiar route, Buhari’s impatience with civility.

Kanu’s abduction is apparently a successful rehashing of a failed old script. On a summer day in London, 1984, Buhari’s military regime had perfected same method. In dalliance with an alleged Israeli former Mossad agent, Alexander Barak, a plot to kidnap and repatriate exiled Shehu Shagari’s Minister of Transport, Umaru Dikko from his Bayswater home.

The despotic military government had accused Dikko of embezzling £625m of Nigerian money. Abducted, drugged and handcuffed by Major Mohammed Yusufu, a Nigerian intelligence officer and two Israelis, Felix Abitbol and Dr Lev-Arie Shapiro, Dikko was crated in a transit van and taken to the Stansted cargo airport as a cargo designated to be a Diplomatic Bag that immune from search. At Stansted, Dikko’s abductors awaited a Nigerian Airways plane to ferry the now unconscious ex-minister back to Nigeria. The abduction was however foiled by a young customs officer named Charles David Morrow who was spurred into action by an alarm raised by Dikko’s secretary who had witnessed from the window panes the Bayswater kidnap. While UK jailed the three Israelis, world’s attention riveted on Nigeria’s  military authorities as infernally despotic, necessitating breaking of diplomatic relations between Nigeria and the UK.

Though there are no accounts of a deep relationship between him and any Igbo since after the civil war, archivists reference Buhari’s 2003 and 2007 presidential election dalliance with Chuba Okadigbo and Ume Ezeoke, both of whom hailed from Oyi and Nnewi in Anambra state respectively, as his hands of fellowship across the Niger. Buhari has however never hidden his disdain for the Igbo – the five percent people. From his venal vituperations against them since he became president in 2015 to the scant appointments he gave them, it may not be very difficult to see how he rates these people.

By extraditing Kanu, most likely the Umaru Dikko-way, Buhari not only went into his Mengistu Haile Mariam pouch to bring out an old trick he deployed in 1984. His legmen have been rationalizing it on the social media, citing despotic Paul Kagame’s cavalier acknowledgment on a live Rwanda state television call-in programme that his government lured home from Dubai his major critic, Paul Rusesabagina, insinuating that it was a “flawless” operation. Rusesabagina’s sin, like Kanu’s, was his headship of the opposition Rwanda Movement for Democratic Change, a coalition group with an armed wing called the National Liberation Front, which Kagame, a notorious despot, has variously accused of attacking Rwanda.

Kagame had said, “There was no kidnap. He got here on the basis of what he believed and wanted to do. It was actually flawless. It’s like if you fed somebody with a false story that fits well in his narrative of what he wants to be and he follows it and then finds himself in a place like that.”

In another interview being circulated, Kagame had asked his interviewer what was wrong in interdicting an outlaw and bringing him to face the law at home. Rusesabagina attracted the kudos of the world through the narrative of how he saved 1,268 Rwandans during the 1994 genocide. For this bravery, he was given a Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush in 2005. After living in Rwanda two years after the genocide, he escaped to Tanzania with the help of the Rwanda Patriotic Front and in 1996, applied for asylum in Belgium and migrated to Brussels with his family. His claim was that his life was being threatened. Not long after, he thereafter moved over to San Antonio, Texas. Arriving Dubai on a flight from Chicago, like Kanu, Rusesabagina suddenly vamoosed shortly after his arrival in the UAE and appeared a few days later in Kigali, manacled and now being charged for terrorism, arson and murder. But, how come Buhari’s lickspittles who crave Kagame’s despotism don’t seek to clone his developmental revolution in Rwanda?

We are yet to see the Buhari fawners cite the Belarus example as justification for his government’s interception of Kanu. Belarus’ authoritarian president, Alexander Lukashenko, had personally ordered an MiG-29 fighter jet to accompany a Ryanair plane that had opposition leader Raman Pratasevich on board as he traveled from Athens, Greece, to Vilnius, Lithuania to the Minsk airport. Claiming that there was a bomb threat on the plane, Lukashenko, in what was seen as a hijacking operation by government, upon landing, had Pratasevich arrested at the airport. Pratasevich had fled to Poland and set up the Telegram messaging app called Nexta channel, with which major protests against Lukashenko was organized.

I am not Igbo and so have nothing to do and gain in Kanu’s Biafra ideology. Igboho’s ways are not mine too. But when your neighbour repeatedly inserts his forefinger into your mouth, you dig your teeth into it. Khalifa Nasir el-Rufai was on a BBC interview last week. He said of Kanu’s travails and why Boko Haram and bandits won’t get his treatment: “I was very happy (at the arrest) because, first he jumped bail, jeopardising his sureties… challenges the sovereignty and the authority of a state and incites violence; he refers to his own country as a zoo. This should be a message to all these separatists challenging the authority of the Nigerian State to be very careful.”

In El-Rufai’s pint-sized logic, IPOB was more dangerous to Nigeria than Boko Haram. “People are comparing apples to oranges. Nnamdi Kanu is the leader of IPOB, a proscribed organisation… Shekau was in hiding and for the past 10 years and the military had been waging a war to get him. It is not like Shekau was in Saudi Arabia, sitting in one place, tweeting about the breakup of Nigeria or asking Boko Haram to go and kill Helen and Nasir el-Rufai… Regarding bandits, they are not centralised under one leadership. Who is the head of the bandits? Who is the equivalent of Nnamdi Kanu with banditry? Bandits are just collections of independent criminals. It is a business for them. It is not a case of Nigeria must break up.” Imagine! It is that same skewed, obtuse logic that has made Buhari to concentrate a hyper energy at mowing down a criminal organization that has, comparatively killed about 60 people while he begs blood-thirsty terrorists who have murdered thousands of Nigerians, including soldiers.

The Nigerian government was introducing a new lexicon to the grammar of international outlawry when Lai Mohammed, its Minister of Information, claimed that Kanu had been “intercepted.” What does it mean to be intercepted? By the rendering of lexicography, it must mean being disrupted from the normal channel of one’s flow. So, was Kanu disrupted from his flow by the Nigerian government? Mohammed even introduced a very porous and vain logic to the address, seeking empathy to the government’s vacuous course by seeking to implicate Kanu’s sartorial worth in his outlawry. Who asks Lai Mohammed the origin and worth of his agbada, apparently financed by Nigerians’ money? What does reference to Kanu’s sartorial makeup hope to achieve?

Bearing every imprimatur of extraordinary rendition, a grievous crime in international relations with huge diplomatic implications, both Nigeria and Kenya cannot be allowed to go scot free in this bilateral roguish abduction. There are existing structures of international diplomacy which sane countries of the world adopt to extradite fugitives. Twice under Buhari, violence and gruff have been deployed as answer to deporting fugitives.

The international community must stop the Nigerian state from its continued embarrassment to the international system. Kanu fled from Nigeria when, upon being granted bail by a competent Nigerian court, soldiers stormed his father’s house and killed people in the process. Only a mummy would wait for the soldiers to make a corpse of him. He fled for his life and in the process, became a fugitive.

Nigeria cannot thus make itself impervious to questionability, a trend that most states of the world, including advanced democracies, are being subjected to. Citizens have to question and interrogate the state. When citizens thus interrogate the state as Kanu did crudely, there are often two answers from runners of the state, either dialogue with them or deploy force in what is called a just war which has to be fought according to rules of international relations. Since the days of the Italian theorist, Antonio Gramsci, states have ceased to use coercion as answers to interrogation by its citizens. When you deploy force, you escalate existing problem. The history of separatist agitations and insurgency, as shown by Boko Haram founder, Mohammed Yusuff, shows that the problems always fester. Buhari has shown that he is not a reconciliatory leader but one fascinated by manacles and the hubris of violence as recompense for infractions.

Nigeria’s latest disregard for international law is not about Kanu. It is about the sanity and sanctity of rules of law. Those who know have insinuated that upon being brought to court, Kanu looked drugged, wry and vacant, pointing at the possibility of violence having been administered on him while being captured and crated to Nigeria. I personally cannot stand Kanu’s incivility but a despot who confessed to have morphed into a democrat cannot be allowed to swivel back into his vomit without sanction.

One of the after-effects of Buhari’s deployment of gruff on the southeast and harangue of Sunday Igboho in the west, rather than dialoguing with the people, is that he is aggravating the problem of his perception as a hater of anyone not of his region and religion. While he is sending his agents to ransack, kill and violate Igboho’s Ibadan house, soldiers are killing Igbo in the east, on one side.

On the other side, bandits who kill hundreds in the Northwest are busy taking selfies with governors and Buhari’s anointed amicus curiae, Sheik Gumi. On this other side, Buhari mollycoddled Abubakar Shekau for years, until he was killed by ISWAP. Buhari does not dialogue with anyone questioning the Nigerian state from the south. He is nevertheless not averse to discussing with bandits. These two, Janus faces of Buhari give a typecast that he is creating an amoral and self-centered leadership. He is also building a mob anthill which will ensure that the disenchanted people of the west and those in the east would ultimately0 forge a common front of rebellion against him and the Nigerian state.

As Buhari is embroiled in all these, I want to remind him that if a petulant and impatient child angrily slaps the sword-leaf that the Yoruba call labelabe, he will provoke a gush of blood. Buhari is provoking a gush of blood with his recalcitrant fixation on routing southern rebels and leaving out northern malefactors. Abacha did worse than him in slapping the labelabe multiple times but today, the goggled despot occupies the debris of world history.

Invariably, Buhari should help himself and help all of us to have peace by promoting peace. His violence for violence policy can only metastasize the cancer of violence. Neither Kanu nor Igboho represents what we should or have always had as leaders. They are too limited mentally to be our prototype of leaders. Regrettably, both are busy filling the gullies dug in the south by Buhari’s erosion of quality leadership and his unjust promotion of his Fulani people at the expense of merit. If IPOB members were ten before Buhari’s obstinate fixation on militarily dissembling Biafran advocates, today, on account of his stiff-neckedness, IPOB believers must have risen to fifty, escalated by Buhari’s unjust policies. Dialogue would have deflated their ranks to two. Time to de-escalate tension is now.
