IGT SEASON 3; REGISTRATION TO COMMENCE BY MIDDLE OF MAY, 2022

IGT SEASON 3; REGISTRATION TO COMMENCE BY MIDDLE OF MAY, 2022

The management of Nigeria’s first Islamize music competition, Islam Got Talent has disclosed that it is set to begin registration of her 3rd annual competition by the mid of May 2022.

The Executive Director, IGTF, Mr. Ayanshola  Taofeek, stated this during the Walk Against Stigmatization for Islamize Musicians (WASIM 2022) declaration summit themed, ‘The Walk.’

According to him, there is a need to review Competition’s modes of operation while improving standards.

He said, “IGTF development has to be driven by the modes of operation because of our competitors, most of them will be seeking better treatment in every phase of this competition. And we need enough time to put things together.

“This is why we are taking our time to review our past actions and meditate over our next steps as registration will begin my third week in May so that we will have a more interesting competition fit for purpose rather than a competition fit for numbers.”

The founder, Islam Got Talent Foundation,  Ifeleye Ray , added that lack of potential sponsors and needed support  was inhibiting the foundation’s ability to tap into its digitalisation potential as far as the competition is concerned.

He said, “Sponsors and Support are tied to the competition and I think for us to get standard from every angle including our digitalisation, we need to review our standard and set a convenient date to ensure conveniences for our contestants too.

IFELEYE DECLARES WALK AGAINST STIGMATIZATION OF MUSIC IN ISLAM

IFELEYE DECLARES WALK AGAINST STIGMATIZATION OF MUSIC IN ISLAM

Ifeleye

Founder of Islam Got Talent Foundation (IGTF) and Association of Nigeria Islamic Music Scholars (ANIMS) , on Friday, asked talented Muslims  to step on the “hatred”  conjured by some Muslims to eradicate arts in Islam.

Ifeleye, in his statement , condemned the longtime ambiguity relating to Music or arts in Islam especially in Nigeria.

The first OAP to broadcast Islamic music on media urged all talented Muslims affected by this criticism, concerned professional associations and leaders of religious sects to do the needful to help talented Muslims use their talent for the propagation of Islam.

IFELEYE said, “My fear is people with good heart (like you) ain't doing anything about it either. Talented Muslims like me seemed trapped in the middle of nowhere and almost going to lose it sooner than later. It's now 3years and one month that my team and I have began this journey trying to speak for voiceless but talented Muslims in our society

“We began broadcast majorly on Islamic Music on media while others were suggesting we should do something else since no support is coming from anywhere. We declined this  suggestion and went ahead to organize awards for our Muslim artists, Organize conferences, career talk, online and physical trainings, competitions and more……But, yield nothing or little.

The inventor of Nigeria’s first Islamize competition further said that “Islam is the origin of artistic civilization which includes music and I can prove it to the world! So why this hatred?  By now, we are taking this one more step to announce to the world that enough is enough!

“Let these haters divert their hate for Islamize Musicians towards people terrorizing, misleading or confusing Muslims using Islam as a shield.  Leave Islamize Musicians alone or support them to do right things with their talent.

"Ilé-Kéú and Brutality

"Ilé-Kéú and Brutality

AS WHOLLY WRITTEN BY Akeem Alao Babatunde:

From time to time, I have observed that it seems Arabic schools established to teach Muslims the Arabic language and Islam, are associated with brutality. Though some learned Muslims have tried to erase the mindset about the hostile lifestyle at Arabic schools.

One thing the Alfas fail to acknowledge is that subjecting students to maltreatment under the guise of instilling discipline has forced and will continue to force millions of vibrant Muslim youth out of Islam to embrace Christianity.

Lamenting canning sessions at Ilé-Kéú, many of them feel comfortable practising Christianity because it dignifies humanity. Millions of Muslims, now pastors, including my relatives, have been lost to Christianity. Shame!

While sharing my ugly experiences at Ilé-Kéú, in my series titled "A Serialisation of the Indelible Memory of Life at Ilé Keu and Life After", I narrated how some of us students escaped similar brutality. When the hostility became unbearable and hopes seemed evaporated, we escaped and wandered in Lagos streets for years.

Even the Hadith of the Prophet sternly warns against brutality, "- عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ : أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النبيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ: لَا يُجْلَدُ فَوْقَ عَشَرَةِ أَسْوَاطٍ، إِلَّا فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ." “He should not be flogged for more than ten lashes except in one of the limits set by God.”

Islam never supports brutality. And that is why Muslims are usually encouraged to exhibit behaviour that helps promote the peace that Islam represents and preaches. Isn't it ironic a cleric that preaches peace could encourage his students to subject fellow students to brutality. In fact, the converse is truly the case.

Education, they say, illuminates the darkness. When things are going wrong, education comes in to right the wrongs. One of the significant roles western education plays in the life of every Muslim is to guide them in the right direction. This is the reason modern-day Muslims continue to preach that every Muslim gets western education.

I am an advocate of western education for Muslim boys and girls. It is a form of emancipation from the outlandish lifestyles many of them are gladly forced to live.

However, it surpassed my worst expectation that some of us Muslims are defending the brutality meted out to the students in the viral video on social media. They claim erroneously that the punishment was dispensed, following the instructions from the parents. Too bad. What a big mistake!

I am not surprised at all because I had once passed through the same inhuman, hostile system. As if born to suffer, some used to be tethered to a pole and some chained to a spot to prevent them from enjoying the freedom of movement.

In this 21st century, our Ile-keu should stop chasing Muslim children away. They should raise scholars and professionals. Their products causing unrest in society should serve as a deterrent."

IGTF: "We are not spending much on IGT Season2 adverts because we are non-profit organization"

IGTF: "We are not spending much on IGT Season2 adverts because we are non-profit organization"

On the program, Islamic Music Express with Classislam that took place yesterday evening, Mr Razak Aremu Olamilekan also known as Kaakaki Anobi had a lot to say about some issues that Islam Got Talent Season 2 is currently facing. During the program, he reacted to the rumour that Islam Got Talent Foundation is not spending enough to publicize or advertise the competition.

The present Executive Director of IGTF said, With the situation that we are going through as a non-profit Organization with little or no sponsors, it is not adviseable and that rumour emanating from nowhere did not bother us. Except of course, those who put that speech together or those who were encouraged to say such thing are either enemies of progress or people who doesn't understand how things works in a competition that your aim is to focus on helping the helpless talented Muslims.

Classislam

The host of the show, Ifeleye Ray Classislam, then asked Ustadz Aremu 2 questions. His first question to Kaakaki Anobi stated that, does it mean that IGTF is out of touch with the reality, and not reaching out to people Or potential sponsors. Or there is some other plausible explanations for its approach?

His second question was that, how do IGTF then move forward from this point, and does its administration require an overhaul of its financial capability?

Kaakaki Anobi answered and said, I think that the solution is campaigning against the ambiguities and arguments surrounding music in islam that is ravaging our potential goal as a non-profit Organization.

Because we are doing the best we can to get the news about IGT Seasons out there and we've never had it bad and I believe that where there is no ambiguities, there are basic tendencies that sponsors of different kinds would have been interested by now and the competition might even become expensive and once the cost of production goes up, it will impact on registration cost and many others attached, and that could be the biggest thing to bare for the helpless we are willing to help. So, which is automatically against our goal as a foundation.

Kaakaki finally stated that the organization needs potential sponsors to aid financial issues within IGTF system but heart of making business may dwindle or crossed out the Oragnization's intention to help developing Muslim artists.

"I AM THE TRANSFORMATION I WISH TO SEE IN YORUBA ISLAMISE MUSIC INDUSTRY"- Ifeleye Ray Classislam

Ifeleye Ayodeji Abdrahman also known as Ifeleye Ray Classislam , a seasoned ethnomusicologist and Humanitarian who is also founder of Islam Got Talent Foundation (IGTF) and Islamic Music Scholars Association of Nigeria (IMSAN) has spoken that he is the kind of transformation he wanted to see in Yoruba Islamise Music industry and has been responsible for the development of Islamic Music in the Southwest at grassroot level. Ifeleye made the remark while calling religious sects/groups and every concerned Muslims seeking for their cooperation and supports over his latest discoveries to ensure Yoruba Islamise Music does not completely ignore culture of Islam and ethics of Music as a profession. Ifeleye who is also an O.A.P has established the first Islamic Music broadcast on three different radio stations in Ibadan. He further stated that he is not discussing "Islamic Music" in order to feather his own nest as an artist, but to encourage all talented Muslims and to show them how music can be done professionally and still keep the religious tradition in shape.

According to him "Ambiguities surrounding Islamic music especially among muslims is not helping the talented ones. The talented ones are suffering for lack of support needed to grow mentally and professionally. The fact is we cannot always fold our arms or try to ignore. Someone needs to stand up to these challenges and take the bull by the horns.

"The graduate of Music Technology further stated that " My experience as a talented Muslim while growing up has shown me where a talented Muslim can be having problems and my latest researches as a young ethnomusicologist has revealed so much about Islam being the foundation to the world Music."He said the creation of IGTF and IMSAN is another step to ensure Yoruba Islamic Music is taken to elitic level beyond lower class. Classislam stated that his actions and contribution are selfless in as much it is uphold with high esteem.

"Everybody wants something good but not everyone is ready to pay the prize and that is one of the reasons i am selfless with everything i do. Imagine, today a lot of Muslim artists usually claim they are the originator, founder, innovator of hiphop, rap or pure English language in Yoruba Islamic Music. Whenever I heard that, i will just scoffed and moved on because such argument does not matter.

In the meantime, I am eyeing so much greatness for all upcoming artists and I believe instead of sitting down and complaining, it is better I should be the transformation I wish to see within this music cycle even if no one will recognize me (for it) in the end

"Through his foundation, Ifeleye has organized Yoruba Islamic Music workshops, Seminars and Competition known as Islam Got Talent Seasons which are all first of its kind and he has been author of Yoruba Islamic Music books as well as educating articles.

5 set of Islamize Musicians that won't participate in Islam Got Talent Season2

5 set of Islamize Musicians that won't participate in Islam Got Talent Season2

1. *The Scared Ones*:- This set of Islamize Musicians are scared and felt they will be discouraged if their song is finally crossed out of the competition. They thought it will kill their ambition and bury their talent and little fame.

On the contrary, This shows that such musicians are not courageous and bold enough to know that *losing is not failure but an avenue to prepare or try better. Failure is when you don't try at all.*

2. *The Pride Ones*:- These set of Muslim artists are filled with pride as they will say "...this kind of competition is not for people like me" or "I am bigger than competition at my level" or "...the judges in charge are not good enough to judge my song" etc.

The fact is no one is bigger than what you have never tried or attempt and win. As pride goes before a fall so is an artist that has never tried a competition but claimed he or she is boss in the Islamize music industry. You can show your pride as an artists when you win a competition over and over again. Competition is fun and power for people who knows better.

3. *The Doubted & Lazy Ones*:- This set of Muslim artists are so confident that the competition is fake or fraud and will say everything to fault it.

How can you be so sure when you have never tried the contest? These people won't make enquires nor do some meaningful findings but only to come up with such pathetic and awkward conclusions.

4. *The Unwise Ones*:- This set of artists believed they are the wisest of all. They believe instead of using N3000 for registration, they can use the money to do something better. Before you can have their money.... You will have to be smarter.

Our candid advice to such artist(s) is that *"their unwise decision will do their career more harm than good and might also kill their dream of getting to the limelight only if they know better."*

5. *The Procrastinating Ones*:- This set of Muslim artists will continue to postpone their registration process till 46days of registration will all be gone and exhausted.

They won't register ASAP and they usually feel like *"there will be second chances"* meanwhile a wise man ones said *"opportunity comes but once"*

If you are part of the above mentioned sets of artist, this is to let you know that such attitude will not help your musical career in anyway but will dwindle it.

*Take charge of your fears*🔥🔥🔥

*Register on Islam Got Talent Season2 today and be the winner*
