Things you need to teach your Child(ren) at early age:

1: Warn your Girl Child Never to sit on anyone's laps no matter the situation including uncles.

2: Avoid Getting Dressed in front of your child once he/she is 2 years old. Learn to excuse them or yourself.

3. Never allow any adult refer to your child as 'my wife' or 'my husband'

4. Whenever your child goes out to play with friends make sure you look for a way to find out what kind of play they do, because young people now sexually abuse themselves.

5. Never force your child to visit any adult he or she is not comfortable with and also be observant if your child becomes too fond of a particular adult.

6. Once a very lively child suddenly becomes withdrawn you may need to patiently ask lots of questions from your child.

7. Carefully educate your grown ups about the right values of sex . If you don't, the society will teach them the wrong values.

Edo College abuse video: Govt suspends Principal, House Master

...to prosecute abusers with Child Rights Law_*

The Edo State Government has watched with disdain the disturbing viral social media video of abuse by students of Edo College, Benin City, the Edo State capital. 

The State Ministry of Education on enquiry discovered that the incident took place at the college premises and involved Senior Secondary School (SSS) students of Akenzua Hall of residence, who are writing their National Examinations Council (NECO) final examination.

The disturbing video exposed the incompetence of the management of the school authority and the delinquent behaviour of the students who carried out the abusive action. 

On account of the above, government has taken the following actions:

1. The Principal of Edo College, Mr. Peter Edomwonyi, has been instructed to proceed on suspension effective immediately. He is to hand over all property and assets of the school in his possession to the next most senior Vice Principal of the school. He is to remain on suspension until the investigation of the incident is concluded and government provides further directive on the matter.

2. The House Master for Akenzua Hall of Residence, Mr. Oamen Stanley, has also been suspended indefinitely, with immediate effect.

3. All the students involved in the abusive behaviour have been handed over to the Ministry of Justice for investigation and prosecution in accordance with the Child Rights Law.

4. The Edo State Ministry of Health is reaching out to the victims to ascertain the state of their health and provide the necessary support.

The Edo State Government is committed to maintaining a school environment that is safe for children and offers apologies to the victims of the abuse, their parents and members of the public.

Keren-Happuch's Death: The family needs justice but the school is trying to cover it up

The girl in the above picture is 12 year old Keren-Happuch Aondodoo Akpagher a Boarding student of Premiere Academy Lugbe, Abuja who died on 22/06/21. 

According to the account, on 16/06/21, she couldn't walk from the hostel to class and had to be helped by her friends to write her test in tears.   On Saturday 19/06/21, she complained that she had an eye infection and called her mother to be picked for medical attention. 

The school would not release her but transported her to the clinic where her mother met her and facilitated her treatment. Aondodoo was distraught when she learnt she would be going back to the school. Her mother  called  and texted the principal and the matron for over four hours asking for them to release her but they refused  initially saying she will have to stay in isolation for seven days on her return. But they finally allowed her to follow her mother home. 

Her mother who initially was not keen on taking her that Saturday 19/06/21 changed her mind when her school mother informed her that Aondodoo couldn’t walk to school on the 16/6/21 and was supported by two friends to write her test in tears. On getting home with her mother on the 19/06/21, she took I’ll on Sunday night and was rushed to Queens Clinic, Wuse, Abuja, on Monday,  a discharge was observed from her vagina and was found to be condom after a lab test. Her urine test revealed dead spermatozoa and she died early hours of Tuesday from hyperglycemia triggered by sepsis resulting from the infection caused by the condom in her.

The family needs justice as the school is trying to cover it up please.

Please Don't wear ordinary boxers at home that you sit

down, Open your legs and your 'thing' is dangling and your

daughter is seeing it.

There are things you should not wear beyond your bedroom,

just for your spouse.

Don't say because you want to enjoy your freedom in your

house.

It is not your house alone, it's a family house/home.

You are putting your children into sexual bondage through

these acts.i know you may not understand it but,

MUMMY!

Wearing ordinary bra around the house in the presence of your

sons is dangerous.

No, they won't lust after you. But you might be increasing their

curiosity to see the breasts of ladies out there.

DADDY!

Wearing ordinary Boxers around your house in the presence of

your daughters is dangerous too.

Not that your daughters will lust after you but it makes them to

actually see how the real thing is.

DEAR PARENTS!

Let's stop being 'PORNOGRAPHY MATERIALS' to our children.

Raising sexually pure children, it begins at home.'

As parents, it is still your responsibility to build virtue into your

family.

If your Children are not properly groomed, they may never get

to the top in life, even if you the parents are at the top of your

respective careers.

MANNERS take you to where your education can't irrespective

of your status , money or "who you know".

PLEASE MUMS & DADS, take note of what you just read now.

Don't make mistakes that will bring you pain and sorrow in the

future.

Don't say you are not married, you will soon get married,

please put this into practice.

Remember a child's mind is like a video camera, it records

everything as it sees or hear it. 

A replay of it will tell you the

things you have done how you did or say it.

AND THE CHILD DIED!

I am sure a number of us have been following the story of the six-year-old boy who was murdered in Kano state on Sunday.

 The child was kidnapped from Kaduna state and taken to Kano where they murdered him after collecting one million naira ransom from his parents.

So pathetic! Is it not? 

But more worrisome are the circumstances surrounding the death of that innocent child.

• The chief suspect among the kidnappers is a neighbor of the late boy’s family.

• This chief suspect sent the boy on an errand to a destination where his partners in crime were already waiting for the innocent child.

• The child went on the errand without telling his parents where he was going to.

• According to the report, the suspects who committed this heinous crime were people who the father of the deceased used to help.

• They killed the boy, even after collecting a ransom from his parents because they were afraid that he might reveal their identity. In other words, the boy knew them.

 *Matters arising:* 

• I will never get tired of warning parents not to trust anybody totally with their child. Teach your children to love and respect everybody but be careful and on alert while relating with people outside their home. Even at home, extended family member, in-laws, domestic servants and family friends should not be trusted, unless tested and proven to be genuine.

• Your child should not be sent on an errand by anybody without your consent. And don’t just give your consent without knowing where they are being sent to. Community life is no longer what it used to be, therefore, be very careful with the people you call friends and/or neighbours.

• Stop the idea of making your child an errand boy/girl to everybody in your neighbourhood. Many children have been sexually molested through that, some were knocked down by a vehicle, while very unfortunate ones like this boy lost their lives.

• For crying out loud, I don’t know why someone should send a six year old child on errand outside the compound where they live. Please don’t allow that, it is not right. 

• If trying to protect your child will earn you bad names from your friends and neighbours, I will suggest that you better answer the bad name than lose your child.

• Understand that no other person can take care of your child the way you do. Therefore, never assume that somebody somewhere is there on your behalf for your children.

• Teach your children to say NO if anybody, no matter who, makes unpleasant demands from them. I talked about this in my new book “The Menace of Pedophiles”. Many children who fall victim to pedophiles were not able to say no when they needed to do so.

• The wave of kidnapping is so high now; sleep with one eye closed while the other eye watches your family members. I don’t know whether you are still comfortable with engaging the services of commercial bike or tricycle riders to take your child to and from school. If I were you, I will stop now.

I rest my case for now.

 May God comfort the family of that innocent child and give them the fortitude to bear their loss.
