Deceptions of the West and why Cease Fire May be impossible in Russia/Ukraine War - Putin

Deceptions of the West and why Cease Fire May be impossible in Russia/Ukraine War - Putin

Ukraine says 37 killed in Russia missile strike

Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated his position and that of the Russia federation on a possible ceasefire along the contact line with Ukraine and why it may be impossible based on repeated deceptions by the NATO allies propelling Ukraine.

According to President Putin: "When our troops were near Kiev, we received a proposal and even a plea from our Western partners to cease fire and stop hostilities in order for certain things to be done on the Ukrainian side. We did it."

"There was a moment when we did it. The Ukrainian side did not cease hostilities. Later we were told that the official Ukrainian authorities could not control all their military units, because there were allegedly those that were not subordinate to the central authorities. This is what we were told, no more and no less. This is first."

" Second, we were asked to move our troops away from Kiev in order to create conditions to finally sign a peace treaty. We did this and faced deception once again: all the agreements reached in Istanbul were thrown in the trash. Such things happened repeatedly."

"Therefore, we cannot just declare a ceasefire hoping that the opposing side will take some positive steps."

"We also cannot allow the adversary to take advantage of this ceasefire to improve its positions, rearm itself, fill up its army through forced mobilization, and get prepared to continue the armed conflict. We must ensure that the opposing side agrees to take steps that would be irreversible and acceptable to the Russian Federation."

" Therefore, a ceasefire is impossible without reaching this agreement" , Putin said  .

NATO to put nuclear weapons on standby amid growing threat from Russia & China

NATO to put nuclear weapons on standby amid growing threat from Russia & China

NATO's remark was an "escalation of tension" says Russia

NATO Chief

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO ) is in talks to deploy more nuclear weapons, taking them out of storage and placing them on standby, in the face of what it called a growing threat from Russia and China, the head of the alliance Jens Stoltenberg said on Monday.

Stoltenberg , according to UK 's Telegraph newspaper said there were live consultations between members to use transparency around its nuclear arsenal as a deterrent."I won't go into operational details about how many nuclear warheads should be operational and which should be stored, but we need to consult on these issues. That's exactly what we're doing," he told the paper.

The NATO chief said it was necessary to show the world the alliance's nuclear arsenal to send a clear message to potential enemies.

He said: "Transparency helps to communicate the direct message that we, of course, are a nuclear alliance." NATO's aim is, of course, a world without nuclear weapons, but as long as nuclear weapons exist, we will remain a nuclear alliance, because a world where Russia, China and North Korea have nuclear weapons, and NATO does not, is a more dangerous world."

Stoltenberg said last week that nuclear weapons were NATO's "ultimate security guarantee" and a means to preserve peace.

The Kremlin said Stoltenberg's remark was an "escalation of tension". Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the comments appeared to contradict a communique issued at a weekend conference in Switzerland that said any threat or use of nuclear weapons in the Ukraine context was inadmissible.

Stoltenberg later said Russia was trying to create confusion and that his comments referred to the modernisation of Nato's nuclear deterrent, including the replacement of F-16 jets with F-35s and the modernisation of weapons deployed in Europe, which he said has been known for a long time.

Russia is trying a way to always also create a situation where they can blame Nato, and the reality is that Nato is transparent," Stoltenberg told reporters on a visit to Washington. A Nato spokesperson had earlier sought to clarify Stoltenberg's remarks, saying: "We have an ongoing modernisation programme to replace legacy weapons and aircraft. Beyond that, there are no significant changes to our nuclear deterrent."

Russia, which sent troops into Ukraine in 2022, says the US and its European allies are pushing the world to the brink of nuclear confrontation by giving Ukraine billions of dollars worth of weapons. Prez Putin has said Russia is technically ready for nuclear war, and that Moscow could use nuclear weapons to defend itself in extreme circumstances.

Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico Attacked, in Critical Condition

Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico Attacked, in Critical Condition

Slovakia’s populist prime minister, Robert Fico, was injured in an attack on Wednesday, according to multiple sources.

Local media, according to the New York Times, reported that Mr. Fico, a veteran politician, had been shot and wounded in the central Slovakian town of Handlova, where he had been meeting with supporters.

President Zuzana Caputova, whose pro-Western stance has put her at odds with Mr. Fico, condemned what she described as a “brutal and reckless attack.”

“I am shocked,” she wrote in a message on Facebook. “I wish Robert Fico a lot of strength in this critical moment to recover from the attack.”

The extent of Mr. Fico’s injuries was not immediately known. There was no immediate comment from the prime minister’s office or from the police.

Images from the scene published by the Reuters news agency showing what appeared to be members of Mr. Fico’s security detail running around a black sedan. Other images showed a person handcuffed on the ground at the scene.

Ms. Caputova, whose term ends in June, has used her limited powers to resist Mr. Fico’s drift toward Russia and his efforts to limit the judiciary’s ability to prosecute corruption.

Mr. Fico has aligned with the Hungarian prime minister, Viktor Orban, in opposing aid to Ukraine and challenging mainstream opinions within the European Union.

Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission who has butted heads with Mr. Fico in the past, said she strongly condemned the “vile attack.”

“Such acts of violence have no place in our society and undermine democracy, our most precious common good,” she wrote on social media.

Mr. Fico, who ended an earlier stint as prime minister by resigning in 2018 amid a swirl of corruption accusations, has also followed Mr. Orban in trying to neuter his country’s judiciary and in casting supporters of Ukraine as disloyal lackeys of the United States.

Mr. Fico returned to power after a general election in September, reviving a political career that many had considered over when he quit amid large street protests after the killing of an investigative journalist who had been looking into government graft.

Slovak president-elect says 'assassination attempt' a threat to democracy

Slovak president-elect Peter Pellegrini says the suspected assassination attempt on Robert Fico is "a threat to everything that has adorned Slovak democracy so far".

He said he learned the news of an attack on the prime minister "with horror".

"I am horrified by where the hatred towards another political opinion can lead," he said in a post to X.

"An assassination attempt on one of the highest constitutional officials is an unprecedented threat to Slovak democracy."

Russia/Ukraine War: West will walk away from Ukraine after destroying it

Russia/Ukraine War: West will walk away from Ukraine after destroying it

Kolawole Odetola

The west will not relent in their proxy war with Russia until the whole of Ukraine is destroyed. The latest mendacious cry faithfully echoed across the media and commentariat is that Russia is advancing because the west is not supplying Kiev with enough ammunition. So as long as enough ammo can be magicked up the tide of battle could turn against Moscow. It is another lie.

Remember this time last year the very same people were predicting the Ukranian army would sweep Russia into the sea of Azov as they were brimming with the most advanced western arms and tons of ammunition. The much hyped counter offensive was comprehensively defeated by the Russian army killing tens of thousands of Ukranian soldiers, which is the real problem. Ukraine is not just running out of ammunition, the west is running out of Ukranians to die for their crusade to break Russia.

Almost a million ukranian soldiers have been killed or injured since 2022.

This was always going to be the case. While they have fought bravely Ukraine was never going to match the Russian army. Russia is far bigger, richer, more populous and more industrialised than Ukraine and in multiples.

The Russian army is also better trained, better equipped and better led than the Ukranian military. The Russians learn from their mistakes, the Ukrainians repeat theirs. When the Russians face challenging realities they retreat and regroup as they did in Kharkov and Kherson in the fall of 2022. When the Ukrainians face difficult military situations they dig in and get wiped out as they were in Marioupal in 2022, Bakhmut in 2023 and Adieevka in 2024. The Russians are fighting to win on the battlefield, the Ukranians are fighting to win on CNN.

A ceasefire now is the only realistic way out of this mess. The pipe dream of Ukraine besting Russia has been exposed as the ludicrous fantasy it always was. But the west still wants to escalate until the entire project collapses. Then they will walk away as they walked away from Iraq, walked away from Syria, walked away from Libya and walked away fron Afghanistan four nations they have totally wrecked in the last 20 years of a futile and failing crusade to reassert America's disintegrating global supremacy.

They will walk away from Ukraine after destroying it and their mendacious media will simply stop talking about it as they stopped talking about Iraq, Libya, Syria and Afghanistan. It never happened. Then they will walk on to the next project.

THE TRAGEDY OF THE CAPTURED AFRICAN MIND

THE TRAGEDY OF THE CAPTURED AFRICAN MIND

For us to know how colonized and miseducated we are as Africans, when you speak with a Lawyer, a Senior Advocate for that matter and you ask him or her, what is the name of the woman holding a scale and a balance which symbolizes Justice, Equity and Truth for the Judiciary? He or she simply tells you, “she’s the Lady of justice”. Many don’t know her name is Ma’at, the black goddess of Egypt who introduced the 42 laws or principles of Maat, over 2000 years before Moses and his 10 commandments were born.

The 42 laws were what African Kings and Queens used to govern the world including Europe for 700 years. But today that same Black goddess is whitewash to be a white woman without reference to her as the Mother of Justice, just because she’s a back woman.

Ask any African Medical Doctor, who is the father of medicine? He will tell you is Hippocrates; the Greek physician but they have refused to research further to know that Imhotep, an African is the founder and father of medicine. He was the first in human history to cure over 200 diseases. Hippocrates came to Egypt to be tutored by Imhotep but today no medical student is taught about this great African who was so venerated during his time that he was worshipped like a god.

If you ask an African Bishop or Pastor who originated the worship of one god? He will tell you is the Europeans that’s why their Jesus and Mary is white but the truth is that the first person that introduced monotheism or worship of one god which was then called the sun god or Aten, was an Egyptian Pharaoh named Akhenaten, a black man who brought about religious and political revolution in the world. Go and read about Akhenaten. It’s because of the introduction of sun god that Africans were called the Children of the Sun. It was after Akhenaten had introduced the sun god that the Germans introduced the word Gott and the English Oxford translated Gott to God in the 6th Century. So what this means is that the word God was man’s creation and everything about the so called Holy Book of the Enslavers religion whether Christain or Islam, were written by men for the purpose of control.

Unfortunately, Africans are so sick that they kill in defense of something that is man’s creation, I mean a religion created by their erstwhile Enslavers; a religion alien to their Ancestors.

Africans must wake up.

They said Christopher Columbus discovered America but went silence on the African king of Mali Empire in the person of Abu Bakr Mansa II who left his throne for his younger brother Mansa Musa and went voyaging with 200 ships with his men and discovered America, 180 years before Christopher Columbus set his foot on American soil. (the book “They Came Before Columbus by Van Sertima) and other accounts gave credence to this report about King Abubakar Mansa II. His successor King Mansa Musa later became the richest man that ever lived on Earth and his riches today is estimated to be 400 billion dollars.

May I remind us that the European tribe plagiarized everything introduced and done by the Black man, they lied about everything yet my African brothers and sisters continue to kowtow to their dictates.

How many of us know that it was Africans that taught Europeans how to take their baths?

How many of us know that Africans built the first 600 toilets ever witnessed by Europeans in Europe.

When Africans where giants in Architecture, Agriculture, Mathematics and Medicine, Europeans were living in caves.

Africans led the world before, Africans will lead the world again.

It's high time young Africans knows about their history. African Youths Leadership and Culture Summit (AYLCUS 2024) is beckoning! Be part of it...

Former Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s rise to the top job in Britain marks a historic moment

Former Chancellor Rishi Sunak, who warned that Liz Truss’s economic plans for Britain were a “fairy tale,” is now the new Prime Minister of the UK taking over the world’s sixth-biggest economy at a time of deep financial and political turbulence.

Mr. Sunak’s rise to the top job in Britain marks a historic moment.

The grandson of Indian immigrants to Britain, the 42-year-old will be the first person of color and the first Hindu to lead the U.K. He will also be the youngest prime minister since Robert Banks Jenkinson, Earl of Liverpool, in 1812.

The former hedge-fund manager arrives with a mandate to bring calm to the ruling Conservative Party following a period of unparalleled chaos that will see the country run by three prime ministers in seven weeks—a first for the U.K.

Mr. Sunak takes over from Ms. Truss, who became the shortest-serving prime minister in British history after her flagship economic program to stimulate the economy with tax cuts at a time of high inflation was rejected by investors, causing the pound to sink to a record low and the Bank of England to intervene in bond markets to stabilize the price of U.K. government debt.

RESIGNATION: UK's Liz Truss and Nigeria's APC Maladministration - Femi Ogunsanwo

RESIGNATION: UK's Liz Truss and Nigeria's APC Maladministration - Femi Ogunsanwo

Liz Truss the British Prime Minister resigned from her role as Tory Leader and will stay in her role as PM until a new leader is chosen by the party who will take over from her in coming days

There is a lesson here for African leaders, there is nothing like sit-tight leaders or leading because of sentiments, if you are not competent enough and unable to usher in effective and virile leadership, your best option is resignation

Kudos to Liz Truss for taking the bull by the horn resigning after 6 weeks in office after the latest fiasco on economic front and leadership crisis

If there should be general election today, its given that Conservative Party is toast for dinner, British people will vote overwhelmingly against the party, coupled with Scottish Parliament asking for break away from United Kingdom. 2022, is an interesting political year in United Kingdom.

Update;

In less than two months after she assumed office as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Liz Truss has resigned from office.

Ms Truss announced her resignation on Thursday during a press briefing outside Downing Street

More than a dozen parliamentarians from her Conservative Party had called for her resignation amidst nationwide economic challenges.

At least two members of her cabinet have also had to resign from office.

Ms Truss said she was resigning because she could not deliver the mandate she was elected for.

She noted she had notified the British monarch, who is the head of state, of her resignation as Tory leader.

There will be an election to choose a new prime minister in the coming week, Ms Truss said. She will remain in the position until then.

Her resignation comes after she met the chairperson of the 1922 Committee of backbench as calls for her resignation intensified.

Ms Truss’s government came under pressure and doubt when her former chancellor, Kwasi Kwarteng, announced the mini-budget which threw the country into financial turmoil.

On Wednesday, the Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, announced her resignation saying she sent official documents from her personal email.

Ms Truss becomes the shortest-serving prime minister with 45 days in office.

Russia Sanctions: German economy faces wave of bankruptcies — banking chief

Russia Sanctions: German economy faces wave of bankruptcies — banking chief

German industrial production dropped beyond expectations

Aggressive sanctions against Russia are sending financial shockwaves through Germany

Germany will be battered with a wave of bankruptcies due to Ukraine-related sanctions against Russia, according to Commerzbank Chief Executive Officer Manfred Knof.

“The energy supply in Germany is at risk, supply chains are breaking down, we have high inflation,” Knof was quoted by the Handelsblatt daily as saying.

According to the executive, almost a third of Germany’s foreign trade has been impacted, forcing companies to navigate complex issues with customers, including surging commodity prices and supply-chain bottlenecks.

“We shouldn’t delude ourselves: the number of insolvencies in our markets will probably increase and the risk provisions of the banks with it,” Knof said.

On Friday, top EU diplomat Josep Borrell said the bloc’s foreign ministers will meet next week should member states fail to reach an agreement by the weekend on banning Russian oil.

Brussels unveiled plans for a Russian oil embargo earlier this week. The measure is expected to come into force within nine months, with the timeframe varying for different petroleum products.

Several EU nations including Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic are seeking an exemption from the ban.

Already for Germany which is the largest Europe's economy, industrial production dropped more than expected in March, data released on Friday by the country’s statistics office shows. According to Destatis, Covid-related supply chain issues have been exacerbated by the conflict in Ukraine.

Production slid by 3.9% last month following a 0.1% increase in February, far outstripping expectations of a one-percent decline. On an annual basis, industrial output slumped by 3.5% in March following a 3.1% jump the month before.

Manufacturing production lost 4.6% in March and energy production was down 11.4%, while construction output gained 1.1%, according to the data. On Thursday, it was reported that manufacturing orders logged a 4.7% month-on-month decline in March.

The largest drop was recorded for capital goods, used by businesses in production, which tumbled by 8.3%.

“In these politically and economically difficult times, the decrease also shows a growing reluctance to invest,” the statistics office said in a statement.

Foreign orders from outside the eurozone nosedived 13.2% in March, while demand from inside the area strengthened by 5.6%. Domestic orders edged down by 1.8%.

“Many enterprises still have problems completing their orders because of interruptions in supply chains, which is due to continuing Covid-19 crisis restrictions and the war in Ukraine,” Destatis said.
