FATF Grey List: EFCC, NFIU Step up Exit Plan

FATF Grey List: EFCC, NFIU Step up Exit Plan

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit, NFIU, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 mapped out fresh strategies geared towards Nigeria’s exit from Financial Action Task Force, FATF’s Grey List.

The strategies arose from a courtesy visit of the Director and Chief Executive Officer of NFIU, Hafsat Abubakar Bakari to the Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Ola Olukoyede at the Commission’s corporate headquarters.

Bakari,  in her speech,  stated that the visit was driven by a kindred spirit, need for stronger bridges of relationship and the FATF challenge. “Our visit today is a recognition of the shared history and a step towards building the foundations of a stronger partnership. We are also here to discuss the steps we need to take together to ensure that Nigeria exits from the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force in the near future.”

In a presentation, the NFIU’s boss outlined the various intelligence-generating and sharing modalities her Unit has been undertaken to serve relevant agencies across the country. She also laid bare how the NFIU has been enforcing compliance obligations of reporting entities to it. She pledged greater effectiveness and integrity of intelligence to tackle corruption, insecurity, banditry,  terrorist financing and other threats to peace and progress of the nation.  “I assure the Commission that we will continue to carry out our assignments with utmost integrity and effectiveness”, she said.

Olukoyede in his remarks assured her of EFCC’s total involvement and commitment in all that are needed towards the exit. “We are together in this. The EFCC has been playing major roles in driving the exit action plan. And I assure you that we will not rest on our oars, not necessarily to satisfy the international community alone but for the overall growth and development of our nation.  “Foreign interests alone must not drive us to do what is right but the interest of our country. We should always do what is right at all times, not just to satisfy any foreign interests but because right is right,  Let’s carry out the action plan to grow our economy.”

The FATF, February 2023, added Nigeria to its list of countries under monitoring, designated as “Grey List.” This listing required the country to implement an action plan comprising 19 items before May 2025 to avoid the greater danger of upgrade to the “Black List” which comes with dire economic consequences.

Olukoyede expressed optimism that the combined works of the EFCC, NFIU and other relevant agencies will assist Nigeria to exit the grey list.

He reiterated his commitment towards preventive frameworks in tackling economic and financial crimes, stressing that it is cheaper to prevent corruption than to fight it.

Cuba: Havana denounces destabilizing attempts from the U.S.

Cuba: Havana denounces destabilizing attempts from the U.S.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel denounced that U.S.-based terrorist groups are encouraging actions against the country's internal order, taking advantage of the harsh situation the island is undergoing.

On X social media the Head of State also informed that some people have expressed their dissatisfaction with the deficit in the national power service and the distribution of food.

Enemies of the Cuban revolution are trying to use such context with destabilizing purposes, Diaz-Canel stressed.

From Santiago de Cuba, the First Secretary of the Party Committee in that eastern Cuban province, Beatriz Johnson Urrutia, referred to the concerns of citizens about food distribution and electricity supply.

Beatriz Johnson also published in X that a group of people from the Antonio Maceo district in that eastern city were attended to. They showed dissatisfaction with the electricity supply and food distribution, she confirmed.

President Díaz-Canel pointed out that in the last few hours we have seen how terrorists based in the United States, whom we have denounced on several occasions, have encouraged actions against the country’s internal peace and order.

In this regard, the president said that “the willingness of the authorities of the Communist Party of Cuba, the State and the Government is to attend to the demands of our people, listen, talk, explain the numerous steps being taken to come out of the current hardships, always in an atmosphere of tranquility”.

The President reaffirmed that “in the midst of the conditions of a U.S. blockade that intends to suffocate us, we will continue working in peace to get out of this situation”.

Did Tehran Care? US defense chief vows to counter Iran in visit to Bahrain

Did Tehran Care? US defense chief vows to counter Iran in visit to Bahrain

UAE — America’s top defense official vowed Saturday to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to counter its “dangerous use” of suicide drones in the wider Mideast, a pledge coming as negotiations remain stalled over Tehran’s tattered atomic deal with world powers.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s comments in Bahrain at the annual Manama Dialogue appeared aimed at reassuring America’s Arab allies in the Gulf as the Biden administration tries to revive the nuclear deal, which limited Iran’s enrichment of uranium in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions.

His remarks also come after Gulf sheikhdoms saw the U.S.’ chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, raising concerns about America’s commitment to the region as defense officials say they want to pivot forces to counter perceived challenges from China and Russia.

“The United States remains committed to preventing Iran from gaining a nuclear weapon. And we remain committed to a diplomatic outcome of the nuclear issue,” Austin told attendees at an event put on by the International Institute for Strategic Studies. “But if Iran isn’t willing to engage seriously, then we will look at all of the options necessary to keep the United States secure.”

Iran long has maintained its nuclear program is peaceful, though U.S. intelligence agencies and the International Atomic Energy Agency say Tehran had an organized weapons program until 2003. Iran’s mission to the United Nations did not immediately respond to a request for comment Saturday.

Since then-President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew America from the Iran nuclear deal in 2018, a series of escalating incidents have struck the wider Mideast. That includes drone and mine attacks targeting vessels at sea, as well as assaults blamed on Iran and its proxies in Iraq and Syria. The U.S. also killed a top Iranian general in Baghdad in early 2020, which saw Iran target American troops in Iraq with ballistic missiles.

Under Biden, U.S. military officials are looking at a wider reshuffling of forces from the Mideast to other areas, though it still maintains a large presence at bases across the region. Austin hinted at that in his remarks, saying: “Our potential punch includes what our friends can contribute and what we have prepositioned and what we can rapidly flow in.”

“Our friends and foes both know that the United States can deploy overwhelming force at the time and place of our choosing,” Austin said.

Austin’s comments also touched on the ongoing war in Yemen, for which the Biden administration halted its offensive support shortly after he came into office.

Saudi Arabia has led a military campaign since 2015 against the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels who hold Yemen’s capital, Sanaa. The Houthis have launched drone and ballistic missile attacks on the kingdom to retaliate for a punishing aerial bombing campaign that also has killed civilians.

But while the kingdom constantly refers to every drone and missile fired by the Houthis as successfully intercepted by its defenses, Austin put the rate instead at “nearly 90%.” The U.S. also withdrew its THAAD air defenses and Patriot missile batteries from Prince Sultan Air Base several months ago.

“We’ll work with them until it’s 100%,” he said.

The Manama Dialogue takes place each year in Bahrain, a small island kingdom off the coast of Saudi Arabia that’s home to the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet. Bahrain also has engaged in a yearslong campaign crushing dissent. Activists wrote to Austin before his trip, urging him to raise the detention of prisoners on the island and Bahrain’s involvement in the Yemen war.

PRESENTATION BY THE NIGERIA MOVEMENT TO THE AFRICA 2021 VIRTUAL CONTINENTAL CONFERENCE OF SOLIDARITY WITH CUBA  FACILITATED BY THE CUBAN INSTITUTE OF FRIENDSHIP WITH THE PEOPLES, HAVANA, HOLDING  ON OCTOBER 7, 2021.

We must not tire, we cannot be defeated!

1. Revolutionary greetings to all delegates of the African Solidarity Movements and Friendship Associations with Cuba participating at this special virtual conference facilitated by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) We note with regret that due to the COVID-19 pandemic which made large physical gatherings unsafe, the 7th African Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba scheduled for Mozambique, could not hold.

2. We salute President Fernando Gonzalez and the entire team of dutiful and committed members of ICAP for their sacrifices and faithfulness to the ideals of the Cuban Revolution in sustaining the commendable tradition of solidarity and friendship with us the African people and our organisations in the defence of humanity.

3. The Nigeria Movement speaks here with painful feelings but fond memories of two unforgettable comrades who departed after our 2019 conference. We lost in May 2020 Comrade AbdulKareem Aka-Motajo – who at his demise was the President of the Nigeria-Cuba Friendship and Cultural Association and a leader of the Nigeria Movement of Solidarity with Cuba. Then in September, 2021 we lost the immediate past Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria – Companero Carlos Trejo Sosa. Both comrade Motajo and Ambassador Trejo were instrumental to the successful hosting of the 6th African Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba which held in Nigeria from September 23 – 25, 2019. In a part of the tribute to Ambassador Trejo by the Nigeria Movement, we had said: Ambassador Trejo meant everything to us in the Nigeria Movement of Solidarity with Cuba. He was the initiator of uniting the various groups in Nigeria with relations or association with Cuba under the banner of a single solidarity movement. He was also central to the inauguration of the Nigeria Movement of Solidarity with Cuba. Companero Trejo was a lively, resourceful, highly knowledgeable, widely experienced and friendly personality with whom we shared pleasantries and confidence! These comrades are unforgettable.

4. We should at this virtual Conference affirm that the relationship between Nigeria and Cuba is symbiotic and deeply rooted in shared historical and cultural heritage. It is not possible to speak of Cuba and the Cuban without reference to the tremendous influences of African, especially, Nigerian cultures. Hence, at these times of the tightening of the criminal US Blockade against Cuba with over 243 punitive economic, financial and commercial measures, targeted at crippling the Cuban people, we the Nigeria Movement cannot be indifferent. We are resolved to stand with Cuba as a DUTY to defend the Cuban people and the unparalleled gains of the Cuban Revolution. We declare to the whole world that Cuba is never, and will never be alone!

5. We acknowledge that despite the hardship that Cuba is facing as a result of the blockade, the sudden outbreak of the Delta variant of the COVID-19 and the ill-fated US plot of insidious protest and campaigns of internal destabilisation aimed at collapsing the Revolution, the Cuban people have remained firm and resolute in the defence of truth, principles and ideals of Humanity! Cuba’s role and the sacrifices of her medical brigades in saving lives in over 57 countries, remains an exemplary and unparalleled achievement, for which the Cuban White Shirts deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.

6. \At this point in addressing solidarity with Cuba and facing the future together in the defence of Humanity, permit me to reiterate the ACTION PLAN FOR THE AFRICAN MOVEMENT OF FRIENDSHIP AND SOLIDARITY WITH CUBA as adopted at the 6th AFRICAN CONTINENTAL MEETING OF SOLIDARITY WITH CUBA.

The plan which as a result of the pandemic has largely not been implemented,   is to:

Promote the legacy of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and the Cuban People in Africa, in the form of conferences, commemorative activities, panels, political events in different countries.

Expand the solidarity movement in Africa to include amongst others, all graduates of Cuba and their families.

Strengthen and increase the relationship between political forces, trade unions, youth organizations, women's organizations and friendship associations with Cuba.

Strengthen the links amongst the solidarity organizations with Cuba in the different countries of the continent by encouraging the exchange of experiences.

Address the people and Congress of the United States with requests to end the illegal and inhuman blockade against Cuba, the Helms Burton Act, the activation of its Title III and the illegal occupation of Guantanamo by the United States.

Perform, on the 17th of each month, actions demanding the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States government, the end of the aggressive escalation and the return of the territory occupied by the illegal Naval Base in Guantanamo. These should include sending letters to the US government, marches in front of US Embassies/ Consulates, among others.

Engage the Parliament in every African country and the African Union to approve Resolutions demanding that America ends its illegal and inhuman blockade against Cuba and its illegal occupation of Guantanamo.

Reinforce actions of solidarity, information dissemination and support for the cause of the Palestine and Saharawi peoples and solidarity with former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and the Bolivarian Revolution.

Promote brigades, caravans, and socio-political groups in all countries through Amistur, on the 60th anniversary of ICAP and the Cuban Revolution.

Build International Volunteer and Solidarity Work Brigades with Cuba.

Develop communication strategies including television, radio, social networks, and other platforms for the dissemination of the Cuban reality.

Intensify the use of social networks as platform to denounce hostile policies against Cuba and in response to disinformation campaigns against the Cuban people.

Support Cuban collaborators, especially doctors, in different countries and popularize the impact of their work in various communities.

Draw up strategies for the creation of solidarity organizations with Cuba in those African countries where they are not yet established.

Prioritize the rejuvenation of the structures that make up the Solidarity Movement with Cuba in a creative and comprehensive way.

CONCLUSION:

The solidarity actions with Cuba, is like a marathon race in which we must not tire so long as imperialism does not tire   or is defeated. As you know, a people united by noble ideas and whose hearts beat in unison for the development of humanity, can never be defeated! There is victory for us!!  Solidarity, forever!!!

Cuba Will Outlive the US Criminal Blockade!

Ever Onward to the Cuban Revolution!

NIGERIA: VAT AS A CATALYST FOR RESTRUCTURING

NIGERIA: VAT AS A CATALYST FOR RESTRUCTURING

A few weeks before he was removed from office, the then Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, warned leaders in the North that if they do not change their policies and ways so that the region can begin to harness its huge resources, the day will come when their southern counterparts will drive demands for change that will create more problems for it. Hear him -

“If the north does not change, the north will destroy itself. If we don’t listen, there would be a day when there would be a constitutional amendment that addresses these issues of quota system and federal character. The  rest of the country cannot be investing, educating its children, producing graduates and then they watch us, they can’t get jobs because they come from the wrong state, when we have not invested in the future of our own children.”

Well, that day is here. The frustrated words that have often been mouthed on the streets of the South are now finding voice in the law making chambers and courts of law. Make no mistake, the decision of the Rivers State High Court over the issue of VAT collections and administration enjoys wide support across the South. Many know that it will create problems for their own States too but they are all for it. Why? Anything to cut the umbilical cord of what is considered an overbearing and inequitable federal system that robs Peter to pay Paul.

That our States have become cost centers rather than development centers invites no argument anymore. Most exist for patronage and nothing more. 33 of 36 make little impact on VAT collection, for example, yet get paid for literally doing nothing. The same is true for the much touted GDP growth - all driven by economic activities in a small pocket of  States. Such a situation will inevitably breed disaffection that will drive division and disunity.

How do we make more States viable? Drive competition, drive innovation, drive cooperation, and drive self-reliance. When a Yobe State knows that there’s no monthly federal bailout fund (that’s basically what the monthly federal allocation is) to rely on, it will begin to apply policies that will grow its own local economy and hunan resources. States should compete for talents (Lagos literally vacuums up most of them at the moment) through better living conditions. Investing in education and learning (especially in the North) will yield beneficial results and the end of the inequitable “educationally disadvantaged States” nonsense. A thinking Governor should have no problem identifying comparative advantages and build on them. There’s so much that is possible if we can all let go this feeding bottle system that inhibits growth and development.

It may be that the change that Nigeria needs, the change that will alter the dynamics of federal and state relationship so that the States become more self-reliant and resourceful, will begin to happen through the courts rather than through the legislature. The VAT ruling may see to that.

We wait and see!

Major General Muhammadu Buhari: The end of an age long Uthman Dan Fodio era

Major General Muhammadu Buhari: The end of an age long Uthman Dan Fodio era

The Tyrant Major General, Muhammadu Buhari is definitely an end to the age long Fulani agenda in Nigeria. The evils that the regime foisted on the country in the name of taking over the geographical space called Nigeria for the Fulanis knows no bounds but alas they have failed.

From Buhari's RUGA to the  finding of cattle routes and many other coordinated genocidal attacks and ethnic cleansing, rapes and kidnapping. Presidential open threats and support for terrorism. State attacks and killing of those with opposing views and voices. The regime has failed to conquer the country for Fulanis. Yet they are still wining as they are in charge of nation's affairs holding and controlling major sectors, parastatals, ministries and departments of government including the military.

No body, no oppressor willingly reliquist power, but it's the oppressed that must act and take it just like the ways Rivers and Lagos have just done in the areas of VAt/tax and the entire southern States have done in the areas of ban on open cattle grazing.

With such steps, Nigeria has entered into a new era of begging instead of threats as usual under this nepotic leadership. Reason We must deliberately remain vigilant.

*1. Gombe government begs Southern States to reconsider stance on VAT and be their Brothers keeper.*

*2. FIRS begs NASS to pass a bill setting up a Federal Revenue Court and putting VAT under exclusive legislative lists.*

*3. NASS begs INEC to reject electronic transmission of results.*

*4. Fulani terrorists surrendering in their thousands with their sponsors begging for amnesty for the criminals.*

*5. Miyetti Allah begs NASS to stop the Southern Governors anti open grazing law.*

*6. Buhari government begs the Plateau State people not to resort to self defenses in their fight against invading terrorists.*

*7. Miyetti Allah begs Lagos State government to delay the prohibition of open Cattle Grazing Bill because Cows may cost N2million each if the Bill is passed.*

*What is most shocking in all these begging is that the all powerful Miyetti Allah terrorist group too is finally begging. This is the group that openly announced that, "FULANI OWN ALL LANDS IN NIGERIA." And openly threatened and attacked a sitting Governor in Nigeria without repercussions. And the FG too threatened the people on behalf of the terrorist organization that it is; "either your land or your lives."*

*Times are changing indeed.*

*Maybe it is just dawning upon them that their principal has just about 20months left in his tenure and he has been unable to secure for them the promised free land all over the country. Rather than helping them to modernize their business into a multi-billion dollar businesses and exporting Industrial beef to the world, he has impoverished them the more and helped the anti open grazing laws to become the law of the land. The 8years of Buhari has become their albatross.*

*And a sitting Fulani Governor announced to the world that all foreign Fulanis are welcome to Nigeria without legal documentation. Their allegiance was to their ethnic group rather than to the country they have sworn to protect.*

*Meanwhile another Fulani General announced openly that repentant terrorists can become the president of Nigeria tomorrow.*

*To suddenly see such arrogant people suddenly resorting to begging is very suspicious and we must not let down our guards.*

*The impunity era is gradually coming to an end. The downtrodden indigenous people of Nigeria must remain steadfast, unified, strategic and vigilant to escort those who visited us with arranged insecurities, stealing, killing, destruction and kidnapping out of power and influence. And ensure that they are handed over to the War Crimes Commission.*

Also, Such less than minority normadic tribe with such nepotic tendencies should never again be allowed in a democratic settings to gain access to power in Nigeria and must be flushed out now.

Thanks.

The Tyrant Major General, Muhammadu Buhari is definitely an end to the age long Fulani agenda in Nigeria. The evils that the regime foisted on the country in the name of taking over the geographical space called Nigeria for the Fulanis knows no bounds but alas they have failed.

Lesson from Kabul

Blood and war

Bullet for profit

Human Is a commodity

War is business

To what end?

The pleasure of the few

The pain of millions

The world is in pain

In need of a new order

But will the greedy few

Let the birth be?

No ! they won't

So do we stand and look

No! We take it to the battle field

Kabul is a lesson

That no one is undefeatable

It is just a question of time

To what ends is the battle of Kabul?

For the people or profit

An endless war with no justification

Than the propaganda of 9/11

Like Vietnam

They returned with shame and excuse

Wasting innocent dollars

At the expense of hungry citizens

To the citizen it was a waste of everything

To the state and her arm suppliers

It was a business that is no longer profitable

In the end to what ends?

A new world is at birth

A new world of common good

A world without war

A place for all not few

A Paradise of the working class

A world birth on idea of we before me

But this world won't just happen

Until the world defeat the enemy of Kabul.

US Blockade: Don’t Believe All that You Hear —Here's What’s Really Going On in Cuba

US Blockade: Don’t Believe All that You Hear —Here's What’s Really Going On in Cuba

The emails kept coming in… From farmers and students and chefs and academics whom I’d taken to that tiny island country over the past two decades to learn about her leadership in sustainable agriculture, cooperatives, and growing food in cities: What’s REALLY going on in Cuba?” they asked.

Yes, Cubans are feeling frustrated. Sixty years of an economic blockade by Washington, over 200 additional measures of economic strangulation by Trump, and now—for the past 17 months—a tourism economy shut down by COVID (now raging, thanks to the Delta variant) have plunged Cuba back to the dark days of the Special Period, when the Soviet Union collapsed and so too did Cuba’s economy. Except this time, Cubans who left government jobs for the hard currency lure of the tourism sector are out of work. People are feeling desperate.

Thanks to policy measures led by Raul Castro in 2011 that opened the country to small enterprise and cooperatives, Cuba’s economy pre-Trump and pre-COVID was flourishing, despite the punishing impact of the U.S. embargo.

Then came Trump. Then came COVID. Like a triple witching hour, investors long agitating to open socialist Cuba to capitalism began jingling in their pockets the coins of influence and paying very close attention.

Could Cuba’s current financial woes finally be the crack that lets the “capitalist light” come in? Could they get rid of this pesky and tenacious socialist government on their doorstep and open Cuba to investment? Well worth the cost of throwing some extra pesos to Cuban dissidents to go to the streets. Playing to international TV cameras with chants of “Down with the Dictator”.

Seriously? Anyone following Cuban politics knows why calling Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez a dictator is absurd. His address to the nation (carried by BBC but not CBC) spoke eloquently to the false narrative being fed by global media.

Yes, in this difficult economy there are line ups for food. Are Cubans starving? No. Despite economic hardships, Cuba continues to look after her people and—through their Henry Reeves medical brigades—those of other nations.

The CNN reporter interviews protesters, then turns his camera to another group of Cubans, standing quietly on a corner with Cuban flags raised in defence of their country. They tell a different story, putting the blame for today’s hard times squarely on Washington.

“Yo soy Fidel (I am Fidel),” one man exclaims, a phrase embraced by Cubans on Fidel’s death in 2016 to express solidarity and respect for the ideals of the Cuban Revolution by saying Fidel lives within them. Shaking his head, the reporter closes with the comment: “One man even kept insisting to me that he was Fidel. “I am Fidel” he kept saying. But (with a half-smirk) everyone knows Fidel died in 2016. This is so-and-so for CNN in Havana…”

Tone deaf?

The Cubans I am speaking to on a weekly basis—although frustrated by a long lockdown and even tighter sanctions—know very well who is responsible for their country’s economic crisis. From Washington, U.S. president Joe Biden called Cuba a “failed state”. Ironic that.

Let’s be very clear: this battle has little to do with the Cuban people and all to do with how to run the economy. In the U.S., capitalism has a stranglehold on markets and communities. Rugged individualism is preached like a religion. We see how well that is working. In Cuba, state socialism charts a different course.

Choosing a socio-economic order is a sovereign matter between a nation and her people. Not investors from abroad.

It is time, Justin Trudeau, for Canada to show support for our friend Cuba, to stand shoulder to shoulder with this tiny Caribbean nation with whom we have shared strong diplomatic ties since 1946 and provide the important economic aid they so desperately need and so deeply deserve.

Shame on us if we do not…

Buhari / APC 6 horrible years of blind leadership, a disgrace of a continent

Buhari / APC 6 horrible years of blind leadership, a disgrace of a continent

Nigerians must unite against their common enemies

The Nigeria's President Major Gen Muhammadu BUHARI sent his former Police IG Ibrahim Idris, to relocate to Benue state in order to end the multiple killings there.

From the day this Buhari publicly opened his mouth and said that he was not aware that the IG did not relocate, it fully dawned on me that our country was being led by a nitwit and a brainless bigot, with an evil mission to kill, to steal and to destroy.

In this age of technology, a President that is bent on tracing non existent grazing routes to please the private businesses of his ethnic group, above the needs of the country, is nothing but evil personified; on a clear mission to self destruction.

Six horrible years of blind leadership, politicized religion, weaponized poverty, ethnic bigotry, abuse of human rights, shameful nepotism, disobedience to court orders, borrowing to loot, institutionalized terrorism, uncommon poverty and vexatious kindergarten governance.
A government of a semi-literate and a boot-licking Professor of law! The disgrace of a continent!

His office, let another take. #APCisAterroristOrganization. As far as Buhari is concerned, Boko Haram, ISWAP , Bandits and other terrorist are just doing the jihadist work. it is meant to happen as core of what they actually believe, even if they take over the entire country, they would still give power to him and his Fulani cabals in their terrorist Emirates.

But for protesters, Secessionists and any reasonable opposing voices, they are the problems. The society they would create, he would not be involved.

To every demand of NIGERIANS from Revolution now to Endsars to Yoruba Nation to Biafra and others, the reaction of the government has been violence.

But to every violence by Boko Haram, Fulani Herdsmen, bandits, ISWAP and others, the reaction of the regime has been peace, dialogue, ransom, education and more.

Here lies in war, what we call common enemy. The Fulani cabals, led by Buhari, Osinbajo, Tinubu, Amaechi, Lia, Fashola, Aregbesola and cos is our common enemy.

We can now all agree, Buhari would have ended Boko Haram and other Terrorist group, if he wanted to. He just don't see them as Terrorist.

They are jihadist and so is he.

With impunity, they Restricted Sowore to Abuja, Kidnapped #NnamdiKanu , attacked #SundayIgboho and his family.  They are killing and sending peaceful protesters to Jail ... While the real TERRORISTS ARE WALKING FREE.
THIS IS TYRANNY!

It's time for Nigerians to unite against their common enemies because we can't continue to hide .

#Buhari and his gang of Tyrants are still fighting the Civil war in their head. WAKE UP AND ARISE NIGERIANS!

If Major General Muhammadu Buhari led regime sponsored genocide in Southern Kaduna and middle belts, killed Shittes and you kept quiet, killed IPOB, you kept quiet, killed Journalist you kept quiet. Killed Endsars and you kept quiet. Still killing IPOB as we speak and you are still silent, then killed Igboho's people, you are still silent. Then there is nothing to worry about because when Buhari kills you or your people, he would finally silence you.

RE - "HOW NIGERIANS ARE BEING TACTICALLY DENIGERIANISED" BY AZUKA ONWUKA OF THE PUNCH - THE POINT HE MISSED, THE POINT WE MISS

By Kola Ayeye

In the 10th Aug edition of The Punch, Azuka Onwuka lamented the tragedy that has befallen Nigeria and Nigerians in such elegant prose. Nigeria he pointed out perhaps had the largest contingent of nationals representing and winning medals for other countries. Nigerians, deNigerianised as economic refugees from decades of wanton mismanagement, donned the colours of other countries winning medals which Nigeria didn't. He gave several examples.

It was a well-researched elegant piece of journalism. I would have been celebrating this piece but for an undertone, more than a passing emphasis, on the fact that all these athletes were Southerners. He wrote "Curiously, all the Nigerians competing for other countries are from South of Nigeria. This also plays out in other spheres of life: medicine, nursing, teaching, soldiering, policing etc.... What has become clear is that Nigerians, especially from the South, are desperately eager to flee from Nigeria to other continents. Even the fear of death is not a deterrent. They seem to feel that it is better to die trying to leave Nigeria than die living in Nigeria".

This is my point of departure with Azuka. We should be careful not to paint a picture that the Northern masses either enjoy this status quo or are indifferent to it. Not true. They are not. The large majority do not. Limited by poorer education, poorer economics and much more limited socialisation, emigration to other continents is not an option, it is not in their world view. Their USA and Canada and Europe and Asia is in Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Enugu and other cities of the South as Maiguards, cobblers, hewers of wood and drawers of water, Mairuwa. They are as much victims of Nigeria as their Southern compatriots. Perhaps worse. Nigeria's per capita income is a meagre $2,300. More than 100m Nigerians live below the poverty line. If we do a regional disaggregation of these numbers, the three Southern Regions and the Middle Belt will be far better than the North West and North East.

The political elite of both the South and the North, in cahoot with a thin business elite who feed off patronage masquerading as entrepreneurs, have worsted the Northern and Southern masses, "deNigerianising" us. The Southern masses flee abroad. The Northern masses flee to the South, or are radicalised out of ignorance to join Boko Haram, or to join banditry.

The greatest failure is that of the professionals, the graduates, the fairly educated, that cadre struggling to survive in the South, Middle Belt and Far North. It is on us the duty has fallen to organise, finance, and create an alternative grassroots political movement to oust this thin political cum business elite that has savaged our commonwealth and deNigerianised our Nigerianness. We have a duty to do it along with the struggle for survival. And here we have failed miserably since 1999 and continue to fail. We have focused solely on personal survival and completely ignored individual and collective action for change.

The Northern masses are victims as well, maybe even worse.

I'm praying and working for the emergence of the famed but elusive 3rd Force, a people's alternative to APC and PDP. We all need to participate. The Fourth Estate of the Realm led by exemplars like Azuka should fully deploy their media to stir this failed inert class from its slumber to do its duty of providing a path that can oust the ravaging locusts in Abuja and every State capital, and provide the people an option to follow.

#HandsOffCuba: ACIS-M organizes political Concerts to DEMAND unconditional lifting of US strangulating economic blockade against Cuban people

The #HandsOffCuba is a POLITICAL CONCERT being organized by ACIS-M is to call the attention of the world to collectively condemn the continued economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed on the people of Cuba by the successive imperialist governments of the United States of America for the past 60 years!

It is our conviction that it is high time that the working people, oppressed masses and conscientious citizens across the world should DEMAND the unconditional lifting of this genocidal, self-centered, capitalist and strangulating economic blockade against the Cuban people who have chosen the path of Humanity, as evidenced in Her saving of lives against the attacks of COVID-19 pandemic in more than 60 countries!

ALSO, AUGUST 13, IS 95TH BIRTHDAY OF COMMANDANTE FIDEL - the Fidel the imperialists couldn't kill in over 600 assassination plots!

It's live @ the NEW AFRICAN SHRINE, AGIDINGBI, LAGOS-NIGERIA!
