Governor Adeleke condoles with Oluwo, family over passing of ex-IBOT President

In a statement signed on Monday by the spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Ademola Adeleke condoles with Oluwo, family over passing of ex-IBOT President.

Osun State governor described the death of a foremost community servant, Chief (Dr) Oluremi Atanda, as a great loss not only to thr state at large.

According to the Governor, his record of contributions to the physical growth of Iwoland will linger in memories for a very long time.

Statement in details;

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has described the death of a foremost community servant, Chief (Dr) Oluremi Atanda, as a great loss not only to the people of Iwo, but also the state, saying his record of contributions to the physical growth of Iwoland will linger in memories for a very long time.

The Governor who recalls Dr. Atanda exploits in the agriculture sector, notably serving as the World Coordinator of Cocoa Geneticists and Breeders between 1975-1977, adding that the deceased will always be remembered for a life that was full of impacts.

He commiserated with the Oluwo of Iwoland, HRM Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, his immediate family, associates and the people of Iwo over his passing.

Governor Adeleke urges everyone touched by his demise to honour his memory by continuing on the path of contributions to the community, Osun state and the whole Nigeria, as was the nature of Dr. Atanda while he was alive.

He prays to God to repose the soul of Dr. Atanda while hoping that loved ones are comforted by the fact that he lived a fulfilled life with many impacts.

Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke mourns passage of nollywood actor, Sisi Quadri

The Governor of Osun State Ademola Adeleke has described the death of a popular nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri, as shocking and devastating.

The Iwo born Nollywood actor died at the age of 44 years, leaving his aged parents behind.

Gov. Adeleke made this known through a statement signed by the spokesperson to the Governor Mallam Olawale Rasheed. The Governor noted that Sisi Quadri was a delight to watch on the screen, radiating homes with laughter through his style of acting.

According to the statement, the governor commiserated with his immediate family, especially his aged father, Alhaji Oyebamiji, the people of Iwoland and the movie industry as a whole, urging them to take consolation in a life of impacts, particularly in the acting profession.

The statement reads in part;

"Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji (aka Sisi Quadri) was a delight to watch in movies. He was a great talent that illuminate homes and impart valuable messages. With his demise, the memory of the wonderful moments he created on the scenes, and more, the comical relief he inspires through his works will reverberate for years," the condolence message reads in parts.

"I mourn his loss knowing well the great talent that is gone. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the people of Iwoland, the movie industry, and everyone touched by this devastating experience. 

"It is my sincere prayer that they get the strength to bear the hard moment his passage represents. May Almighty Allah grant him aljanah fridaos soul."
