GOFAMINT VICTORY MONTH PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY THURSDAY 27TH JANUARY, 2022: O Lord, Bless And Preserve The Families Of Our Late Heroes in GOFAMINT

GOFAMINT VICTORY MONTH PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY THURSDAY 27TH JANUARY, 2022: O Lord, Bless And Preserve The Families Of Our Late Heroes in GOFAMINT

 DAY 26 THURSDAY 27TH JANUARY, 2022

TOPIC: O Lord, Bless And Preserve The Families Of Our Late Heroes in GOFAMINT

Text: Isaiah 44:1-4, Ps. 71:9, 21

Praying for the families of our late Heroes can never be too much. These great men and women were used tremendously in preaching the gospel of our Lord and establishing many assemblies that had turned to become Districts and Regions, they spent and were spent for God’s work.

It is the foundation laid by them we are building upon, we are proud of them since they have their families left behind, we are ready to pray for them for their good works are still speaking.  If we fail to pray for their families, we will be ungrateful to man and God.  We cannot easily forget their rugged evangelism, exemplary life of love, doing the church building work together, giving out their property to support God’s project and digging deep into the scripture and many more works were done by our great men and women.  They were great in faith.

 Prayer Time

1. Thank God for our great men and women who had passed unto glory

2. Thank God for the selfless life they lived

3. Thank God for their works are fruitful

4. We appreciate God for their works are not destroyed.

5. God, let their families be protected from dangers.

6. Arise oh God and fight their battles for them in Jesus’ name

7. Oh God, heal those who are sick among them

8. Destroy any battle of life that face them in Jesus’ name

9. God send Your blessings upon them so that they will not lack any good thing.

10. Oh God arise and deliver them from any problem facing them now

11. In any area they need assistance, Father answer them speedily

12. None of them will die prematurely in Jesus’ name.

13. Power to follow God than your parent receive it in Jesus’ name

14. Oh God help GOFAMINT to care more from Assembly level, District, Regional and National level (we can do better)

15. Father let the families left behind serve God together with love in GOFAMINT

16. We shall all make heaven together, at last.

Closing session for the day:

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR THURSDAY 27TH JANUARY 2022: THE SOURCE OF LIVING WATER

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR THURSDAY 27TH JANUARY 2022: THE SOURCE OF LIVING WATER

THEME: THE SOURCE OF LIVING WATER.

MEMORISE:

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

       John 4:10

READ: John 4:7-10

7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

MESSAGE:

Water is named and classified primarily based on its source. For example, saltwater is from the sea, rainwater is from the sky, hard water is from the ground, fresh water is from rivers and so on. Today, we would be discussing the source of living water- water that gives life and eternal life for that matter. However, to access this living water, we must first and foremost accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Jesus was very clear when He said, “ He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38).

In our Bible reading for today, Jesus encountered a woman who was unknowingly in dire need of living water to quench her eternal thirst. Our Lord then engaged her in a conversation so as to open her eyes to that need in her life, by asking her to give Him physical water to drink in exchange for living water. As if that was not enough, Jesus promised her that she needed only to drink the living water once, and then it would produce rivers of living water that would spring through all eternity (John 4:14).

Beloved, Jesus Christ is calling you today to come and drink freely of the spiritual water of salvation which will give you all-round fulfilment and satisfaction here on earth and in eternity with Christ. Jesus took care of the Samarian woman’s spiritual and emotional torment in the Bible text of today. Yours can be taken care of as well if you will come to salvation today so that you would live a purposeful and joyful life henceforth.

Jesus Christ- the source of living water is inviting you to come unto Him. Heed this call and you will never thirst again.

“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17

PRAYER POINT:

Father, here I come today; give me the water of life until I want no more, in the mighty name of Jesus.

FOCUS: VISIT OUR EXCO WITH SUPERNATURAL EMPOWREMENT FOR THE GROWTH OF THE MISSION

TEXT: I CHRONICLES 12:32

INSPIRATIONAL WORDS FOR EFFECTIVE AND FERVENT PRAYERS

Members of the Executive Council are men with proven qualities carefully chosen to work hand in hand with the General overseer to steer the ship of the church forward. We appreciate the qualities and characters which qualified them as members of the apex body. We also appreciate the efforts and contributions of each and everyone of them towards the growth of our church. The fact remains that they need to do more for God and for the church.

That is why they need more power from above to do more (John 15:8) Definitely, human power is not enough to do the work of the Lord. “It’s not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord” (Zech 4:6) Our Executive Council members need divine visitation for the impartation of power, sound mind and love; which is required for their effectiveness.

So far so good, the achievements of the Exco members (past and present) cannot be over-emphazised. One of such significant efforts is how they led the church to purchase, possess and develop the Gospel City to its present level within a short time. This and more are the result of our prayers for them.

With more prayers for them, there will be more results, actions and achievements!

LET US PRAY

1. Thank you Lord for the life our General overseer. Who is the chairman of the Executive Council of GOFAMINT.

2. Thank you for leading and directing him to choose the right people to lead the church.

3. We appreciate you Lord, for each and every Exco member past and present; for the various ways whereby you had used them.

4. For the sake of the entire members of GOFAMINT, visit our Exco members oh Lord.

5. Grant them the spirit and wisdom of men of Issachar to guide and lead us in the right way oh Lord.

6. Do more for our General overseer both to lead the Council right and to choose the right people into the council when necessary.

7. We commit all the sessions of the meetings of Exco to your hand, make it Holy spirit affairs at all time, dear Lord.

8. Whenever there are naughty and difficult matters to iron out, Holy Spirit, manifest and lead them right.

9. Grant them the spirit of unity for maximum results in their deliberations and actions.

10. Dear Lord, let there be divine input in their programs and projections to move the church forward.

11. We bind and destroy all plans and purposes of the powers of darkness over our Executive Council in the mighty name of the Jesus.

12. Dear Lord, let the hosts of heaven join the Exco members for supernatural advancements.

13. Release upon each and everyone of them; the spiritual resources required to take the church to the next level.

14. Meet all their personal needs and that of their individual families oh Lord.

15. Holy spirit, be the supreme chairman of the council and help our General Overseer and other members to hear you clearly to walk, working with you closely.

16. Protect them and their families from all kinds of dangers and calamities oh Lord.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR WEDNESDAY 26TH JANUARY 2022: LET THERE BE LIGHT X

 OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE:   WEDNESDAY 26TH JANUARY 2022.

THEME:  LET THERE BE LIGHT X.

MEMORISE:

And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

        Mark 10:51

READ:  Luke 24: 13-31.

13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;

23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.

29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

MESSAGE:

T

he words, “Let there be light” could mean “Lord, open my spiritual and physical eyes”. To the physically blind fellow, it means “Let me be able to see”. To the spiritually blind, it means “Lord, open my spiritual eyes so that I may begin to see the invisible”. The Psalmist wrote, “Open mine eyes that I may behold wonderous things out of thy law” (Psalm 119:18). This did not mean the Psalmist was physically blind, rather, he knew that he could only see the depth of the Lord’s will for his life in the word of God when his spiritual eyes were open. Some people may be doing the wrong thing without knowing and they would think they are on the right path (Proverbs 16:225). This is so common among the religious and intellectuals. The case of Saul of Tarsus who became Paul the Apostle is a classic example of this (Acts 9:1-6).

The story in our memory verse today points to the darkness of physical blindness. People shouted Bartimaeus down because he could not see. A blind man may be subjected to unwarranted harassment, even from those close to him, probably because they feel he is a burden to them, slowing them down. In this story, it was those people who were scrambling to catch a glimpse of the Miracle-Worker- Jesus Christ, that were harassing him. However, the man refused to be intimidated. The Bible says that the more they shouted him down, the louder he shouted back- eventually drawing the attention of Jesus Christ himself. Shout back to the devil today and call on the Light to shine upon you in order to receive your sight- whether physical or spiritual.

Another lesson from this story is the fact that Jesus asked the blind beggar what he actually wanted. The Lord needed to hear him open his mouth to seek His help. Go ahead, open your mouth and pray about any problem you have today. The Father of lights will beam His light upon the situation in Jesus’ name and you will be victorious.

Spiritual blindness is a terrible form of darkness. In our Bible reading of today, two of the disciples were so spiritually blind that they did not recognize their Lord until the light shone on them. When the light of God shines on you, despair disappears, strength is regained and joy unspeakable would become your portion. Praise the Lord.

ACTION POINT:

Pray like the blind Bartimaeus did, asking that the Lord would send His light upon you for new insights into His will for your life, in Jesus’ name.

HYMNAL: DEEPER, DEEPER IN THE LOVE OF JESUS.

1. Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus

Daily let me go;

Higher, higher in the school of wisdom,

More of grace to know.

o Refrain:

Oh, deeper yet, I pray,

And higher every day,

And wiser, blessed Lord,

In Thy precious, holy Word.

2. Deeper, deeper, blessed Holy Spirit,

Take me deeper still,

Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,

And His perfect will.

3. Deeper, deeper! though it cost hard trials,

Deeper let me go!

Rooted in the holy love of Jesus,

Let me fruitful grow.

4. Deeper, higher, every day in Jesus,

Till all conflict past,

Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image

Perfected at last.

5. Deeper, deeper in the faith of Jesus,

Holy faith and true;

In His pow’r and soul exulting wisdom

Let me peace pursue.

GOFAMINT VICTORY MONTH PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY TUESDAY 25TH JANUARY, 2022: HOME MISSIONS - O LORD, VISIT OUR HOME MISSIONS FOR THEIR TOTAL GOOD AND BREAKING THROUGH NEW GROUNDS

 DAY 24: TUESDAY 25TH JANUARY, 2022

FOCUS: HOME MISSIONS: O LORD, VISIT OUR HOME MISSIONS FOR THEIR TOTAL GOOD AND BREAKING THROUGH NEW GROUNDS

TEXT: JOB 10:12; 2 SAMUEL 23:14-16

INSPIRATIONAL WORDS FOR EFFECTIVE AND FERVENT  PRAYERS

You have granted me life and favour, and your visitation has preserved my spirit” (Job 10:12 NLT) And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem. And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate! And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out to the LORD.Mission remains the heartbeat of God Almighty. He has not ceased to be the missionary God that He is. In the Old Testament, God spoke through the Prophet Isaiah saying, “I looked, but no one came to help my people. I was amazed and appalled at what I saw. So I executed vengeance alone, unaided, I passed down judgment.” (Isaiah 63:5 NLT)

While there were many times God’s people were not willing to cooperate with God’s purpose, it has always been God’s perfect will that man should be a fellow labourer with Him. So, apart from some of the Old Testament prophets; God sent His only begotten Son and the Holy Ghost to enable us participate in His fellowship to the end that He might send us to accomplish the great work of redemption of the world..

The redemption and transformation of God’s creation depend on our commitment to God’s mission. We thank God for GOFAMINT Mission through which many nations and tribes have been called to the fellowship of Jesus Christ our Lord. Like Joshua, while we may be celebrating our victories, the truth remains that there are yet many lands to be possessed. Hence, as we wait upon the Lord this season; we must cry to God for His intervention and breakthrough in our mission fields and missionaries for their total good and breakthroughs. In times like this, we need divine visitation in all our mission fields, a visitation that will bring life where there is deadness, refreshing where there is dryness and revival where there is rut (dull routine). We trust the Lord to empower our missionaries with His fullness to break every limitation and rise above obstacles.

Missionary work is so challenging and replete with several difficulties that if there is no unceasing supply of resources, the missionary might become weary and the task undone. There is need for constant intercession and regular giving of material and moral support to our mission fields and missionaries. As we intercede this year, the Lord will use your prayers and subsequently your gift to advance the course of mission in Nigeria and the rest of the world.

Let us Pray

1. Father, thank you for the vision for mission you have given us and the how far you have helped us in accomplishing this vision.

2. Thank you Lord for all the exploits that have been accomplished through this missionary vision given to us.

3. Lord, sharpen our vision for mission this year and rekindle our commitment to the Great Commission.

4. We pray for a fresh visitation upon all our missionaries, leaders, and workers, a visitation that will give birth to unlimited breakthroughs in all our mission fields in Jesus name, Amen.

5. Lord encourage the discouraged, satisfy the frustrated, and fill our missionaries with a fresh anointing for breaking new grounds in Jesus name, Amen.

6. Lord, heal the wounded, strengthen and reinforce the weak in Jesus name, Amen.

7. We pray for the afflicted and the persecuted, intervene on their behalf and grant them breakthrough and divine preservation in Jesus name, Amen.

8. Heavenly Father, we call for divine enlargement in GOFAMINT, let all barriers to spiritual, numerical, territorial, financial and ministerial enlargement be broken in Jesus name, Amen.

9. Daddy, let the spirit of spirit of holiness, the fear of the Lord, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, counsel and might fill all our missionaries and Leaders in Jesus name, Amen.

10. Lord, we call for all round growth in all our missionaries and mission fields. Daddy, sharpen the skills of our missionaries to be more effective in their primary assignment of proclaiming the gospel and discipling the nations in Jesus name, Amen.

11. Let the divine water of refreshing flow in all mission fields and water the effort of every missionary this year for increased output and productivity in Jesus name, Amen.

12.  We receive divine wisdom for excellent administration of missions in GOFAMINT for outstanding results that will glorify the Lord in Jesus name, Amen.

13. Father, give us a new song of joy and breakthrough in all our mission fields and put laughter in the mouths of all our missionaries.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TUESDAY 25TH JANUARY 2022: LET THERE BE LIGHT IX

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TUESDAY 25TH JANUARY 2022: LET THERE BE LIGHT IX

THEME:  LET THERE BE LIGHT IX.

MEMORISE:

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

 Isaiah 6:8

READ:  Isaiah 6:1-8

1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

MESSAGE:

Let there be light could mean, “Lord, after You have shown me the solution to my problem, teach me how to help others also” or simply “Lord, use me for Your glory”. A life that does not serve a divine purpose is a wasted life and would have no recompense in the hereafter Jesus Christ clearly said:

“ And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”

         Revelation 22:12

The reason we were not taken to heaven the very day we gave our lives to Christ is so that we may be useful and not only to serve the purpose of our creation and redemption, but be handsomely rewarded by our Father in heaven. When darkness fills a person’s life, such a person will lead a purposeless and unprofitable life. A lesson we must learn from Prophet Isaiah in our Bible reading today is that the moment the light of God shone upon him and he was shown his imperfection by God’s grace, he surrendered himself to be used of God.

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”

 Isaiah 6:8

Joseph is another classic example of someone who, after the light of God shone upon him, served God’s purpose for his life consciously. Like Joseph, all children of God must seek to discover His unique purpose for their lives and pursue it vigorously (Genesis 50:19-20).

Beloved, when the light of God shines upon your life, you will see the importance of Mark 16:17-18 and you will earnestly pray for the fulfillment of the Lord’s promise in Acts 1:8 over your life.

God has already prepared a glorious future ahead for all His children through Christ (Colossians 1:27). Ensure you do not miss out on this by yielding you life entirely over to the Light- Jesus Christ and live according to His purpose for your life.

God bless you.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please let Your light shine upon my life and help me fulfil my divine purpose, in the mighty name of Jesus.

HYMNAL: NEARER, MY GOD TO THEE.

1. Nearer, my God, to Thee, nearer to Thee!

E’en though it be a cross that raiseth me,

Still all my song shall be, nearer, my God, to Thee.

o Refrain:

Nearer, my God, to Thee, nearer to Thee!

2. Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down,

Darkness be over me, my rest a stone;

Yet in my dreams I’d be nearer, my God, to Thee.

3. There let the way appear, steps unto Heav’n;

All that Thou sendest me, in mercy giv’n;

Angels to beckon me nearer, my God, to Thee.

4. Then, with my waking thoughts bright with Thy praise,

Out of my stony griefs Bethel I’ll raise;

So by my woes to be nearer, my God, to Thee.

5. Or, if on joyful wing cleaving the sky,

Sun, moon, and stars forgot, upward I’ll fly,

Still all my song shall be, nearer, my God, to Thee.

6. There in my Father’s home, safe and at rest,

There in my Savior’s love, perfectly blest;

Age after age to be nearer, my God, to Thee.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR MONDAY 24TH JANUARY 2022: LET THERE BE LIGHT VIII

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR MONDAY 24TH JANUARY 2022: LET THERE BE LIGHT VIII

THEME:  LET THERE BE LIGHT VIII

MEMORISE:

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.  Psalm 16:11

READ: Genesis 26:1-4.

1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.

2 And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:

3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;

4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

MESSAGE:

Let there be light could mean “Lord show me the good ground to sow into” on “Lord, show me the business I should venture into”. It could also mean “Lord, show me the solution to the problem(s) I am faced with” as in the case of the bitter water discovered at Mara in Exodus 15:22-26. In that story, many lessons could be learnt. One is that though the physical eyes are good and necessary, the spiritual eyes are far better and more beneficial. At times the solution is right there under our noses, but we may not know until the light of God beams on such a solution. Though the tree that was a solution to the bitterness in the water at Mara was there, they (both the leader and the led) did not see or recognize it until the light of God shone upon it.

You may be a solution to your people, yet not be appreciated to the point of being considered able to help, until the light of God shines upon you. A country did not see the usefulness of a nationalist leader until he died, after which he was declared “The best president they never had”. None of David’s kin was ready to consider him as a possible candidate for the throne until the light of God shone and Samuel anointed him.

In the same vein, you need the light of God to shine upon you before you can choose rightly where to invest your time and energy. To the glory of God, when the light of God shone upon Isaac, he remained in Gerar where he prospered so tremendously that even the king of the land envied him (Genesis 26:12-14). There are categories of soil to sow into, according to the parable of the sower (Matthew 13:3-9). There are soils that represent the wayside; some are good enough to produce in thirties, sixties and hundreds.

We also need to consider the quality of the seed being sown. Beloved, the light of God I required not only to identify the correct soil, but also the right seed to sow. You cannot sow corn in the sea; it would also be an exercise in futility for you to raise fish fingerlings in the desert. One may say these are obvious, but then, that is what many do when they dabble in businesses God has not approved for them. May the light of God lead you from now, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, shine Your light upon my life, that I may know Your perfect will for me in every aspect of my life, in Jesus’s name.

3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;

4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

GOFAMINT VICTORY MONTH PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY SUNDAY 23RD JANUARY, 2022: O LORD, REVIVE US IN GOFAMINT WITH UNDYING GRACE FOR AGGRESSIVE SOUL WINNING

 DAY 22: SUNDAY 23RD JANUARY, 2022

FOCUS: O LORD, REVIVE US IN GOFAMINT WITH UNDYING GRACE FOR AGGRESSIVE SOUL WINNING

TEXT: JUDGES 6:7, ESTHER 4:14-16, 2KINGS7:9, ACTS 8:4, 1:8, ISA 62:6-7

INSPIRATIONAL WORDS FOR EFFECTIVE AND FERVENT  PRAYERS

Praying for revival has a very costly price attached to it. The church history is replete with high prices paid by individuals or group to tap into the abundant rain of revival (1Kings 18:41-44)Elton True blood captioned the task of soul winning this way: “There is no chance in an army campaign for victory, whose 98% of its soldiers are not only untrained but uninvolved”

The unprecedented landmark set by the Early Church and exemplified in the early days of GOFAMINT; served a model to revive us in soul wining. Until we follow their steps, no revival as expected. Their model follows 6 keys operations:Soul winning was done by EVERY ONE as a major business of the church (Acts 5:42; 8:4). Both Leaders and followers without exemption did it. A church in Nigeria still practice this model, where the General Overseer  goes out daily with others to win souls.Soul – winning business was done EVERY DAY – (Acts 5:42 ). It was not on specific days or months. As a business, it runs every day to reproduce disciples. We thank God for February and October innovations by our Leader the General Overseer. But when revival fire is kindled, no one is spared and no day is sacrosanct. The business was done EVERY WHERE – Market, Streets, in the Bus, House to House, in the Prison, Hospitals, Schools (Matt 25:34-40).It was to EVERY SOUL – small or big, rich or poor, male or female (1Cor16:19 – 22). It was done by Seizing Opportunities (John 4, the Samaritan woman)It was a way of life for all disciples, not a program. It was natural with EVERYONE (Jer. 20:8-9).Today, if you have not won a soul to the kingdom this year, you are a mere convert, whatever title, years in the church or position in the church. It was the Major Priority and Primary Business of the church. Unless we focus on disciple – making, the business may suffer set-back.

There may be no revival of soul – winning particularly where it is evident that said 95% of believers today never won a soul for Christ since being converted.Major actions that can trigger revivalEnsure intentional change of our priority and make soul – winning the primary focusEnsure every member grows to be a disciple – only disciples produce disciples or multiplies himself/herself. Our attendance can double, if we are all disciples – 2Tim 2:2

Operation “shows your convert” can become a policy, even as obedience to eating communion.

Re-focus and reinforce our regular and consistent prayer to God to raise true labourers – (disciples) (Matt 9:38). Make me a responsible soul winner this year; which is another probational year (Luke 13:6-9).

Let us pray

1. (Rom 9:1-3) O Lord, baptize all Ministers and Members in GOFAMINT with the fresh fire for deep passion and concern for the perishing souls as of old.

2. Holy Ghost, send us again to the “upper room” for unusual encounter with Pentecostal fire to reach out with power, signs and wonders that will daze the world again.

3. Father, help our leaders at all levels, to lead the business of souls wining with examples, and grant them the will power to spend and be spent on soul winning, as the priority of the church.

4. Holy Spirit, send fire into our bones that will melt our heart with passion that has no peace, till the gospel is preached – Jer. 20:8-9.

5. Father, make me a die –hearted soul winner in year 2022 that will not rest until at least, a soul is won to the kingdom (Gen 30:21, Exo 23:20a)

6. In your church this year, I shall not be barren, I shall produce souls by your grace to the kingdom (Pro 11:30).

7. Today, I consume by fire, every spirit of lukewarmness, unconcerned attitude and spirit of weariness standing my way of fruitful soul – winning.

8. O Lord, help me to stay focused and make soul – winning my top priority in life to win the prize in eternity (Dan 12:3)

9. I receive sufficient grace to keep the fire of soul - winning burning in my life and in my assembly, and help me to finish well and finish strong (1Cor 9:27).

Closing session for the day

Pray on your prayer request for 2022

Special ministration for the day:

For those who want to be very faithful and fruitful in the work of soul winning, willing to win at least a soul in 2022.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR SUNDAY 23RD JANUARY 2022: LET THERE BE LIGHT VII

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR SUNDAY 23RD JANUARY 2022: LET THERE BE LIGHT VII

THEME:  LET THERE BE LIGHT VII

MEMORISE:

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6

READ: Esther 2:5-9

5 Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;

6 Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.

7 And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.

8 So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.

9 And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king's house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women.

MESSAGE:

Let there be light could mean “Let there be shining beauty”. Darkness is ugly, and beauty is neither shown nor appreciated in it. For example, when darkness envelopes a beautiful woman, no one can appreciate her beauty. Conversely, when the light of God shines upon the same person, her beauty would be seen and appreciated by all.

In our Bible reading today, we read of God’s light shining upon a slave girl Esther who later became Queen. The secret is the light of God that shown upon her- nothing more. Nobody appreciates beauty in darkness. For example, in the daytime, Jacob admired Rachel so much that he opted for her instead of her elder sister. However, when darkness came and Leah was presented, he did not know who was who until the following morning (Genesis 29:16-19, 23-26).

An adage says that “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. What many fail to know is that beauty is synonymous with light. It is she who has the light of God on her that looks beautiful. There was a woman who was beautiful not only to behold but also to be desired as a wife. However, the husband turned her to a punching bag! She appeared repulsive to the husband, despite her beauty and accomplishments. The truth of the matter was that darkness so beclouded her beauty that her husband could not appreciate it. The conclusion of the matter is found in our memory verse of today.

Do you want all forms of darkness and evil to depart from you? Do you want the light of God to beam and radiate His glory all over you?

Make up your mind to surrender all to the Light- Jesus Christ, and the light of God would shine upon you. Surrender all to the Father of lights today and every darkness beclouding your vision from seeing and experiencing His glory will flee, in the mighty name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please let Your light shine upon me and reveal Your glory upon my life in Jesus’s name.

HYMNAL: MY FAITH LOOKS UP TO THEE.

My faith looks up to Thee,

Thou Lamb of Calvary,

Savior divine!

Now hear me while I pray,

Take all my guilt away,

Oh, let me from this day

Be wholly Thine!

May Thy rich grace impart

Strength to my fainting heart,

My zeal inspire!

As Thou hast died for me,

Oh, may my love to Thee

Pure, warm, and changeless be,

A living fire!

While life’s dark maze I tread,

And griefs around me spread,

Be Thou my guide;

Bid darkness turn to day,

Wipe sorrow’s tears away,

Nor let me ever stray

From Thee aside.

When ends life’s transient dream,

When death’s cold, sullen stream

Shall o’er me roll;

Blest Savior, then in love,

Fear and distrust remove;

Oh, bear me safe above,

A ransomed soul!

GOFAMINT VICTORY MONTH PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY MONDAY 24RD JANUARY, 2022: DIVINE VISITATION FOR SWEATLESS BREAKTHROUGHS AND VICTORIES

 DAY 23: MONDAY, 24TH JANUARY 2022

FOCUS: DIVINE VISITATION FOR SWEATLESS BREAKTHROUGHS   AND VICTORIES

TEXTS: Zech.4:1-14, Luke 5:1-10

INSPIRATIONAL WORDS FOR EFFECTIVE AND FERVENT PRAYERS

Human beings on earth struggle a lot to make end-meet and achieve goals. Christian life and ministry inclusive. Not so many usually achieve their goals and desires in life. Many are tired, discouraged and despondent. Although, majority of our desires are good and legitimate, yet they remain elusive. One major factors for human failure on earth is the mystery and spirituality attached with it. They are not seen or known, yet they are closely connected with the situations of our lives. What we need to get out of the precarious conditions is divine visitation. Let us see one of such examples in the Bible and the resultant effect.

“And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him; and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest, yourselves under the tree: And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant.

And they said, So do, as thou hast said. And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetch a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat. And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife?

And he said, Behold in the tent. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah  heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it cased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

And the Lord said unto Abraham, wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying Shall I of a surely bear a child, which am old? Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.Gen.18:1-15

In divine visitation, the divine presence illuminates the surroundings and changes the atmosphere positively. Strange elements are exposed and evil powers decimated.

Right connections are made and everything begins to fall into right proportions.

Do we have to go for divine visitation before we make it in life? Yes, human power is not enough “Not by might, not by power….” Education either formal or informal is a major and essential tool to make success on earth. Yet, because of the spirituality connected with our world, the intellectual ones still fail to achieve their aims.

The spiritual controls the physical in our world. God did not want us to go and succeed in the world in our own power. As it is clearly stated in Psalm 127:1 “Except the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain that build it…...”

He wants us to go in partnership with him. “And he said, my presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest” (Ex. 33:14) Moses understood this “and he said unto Him, if thy presence go not with me, carry us not up thence” (Ex.33:15).

Divine presence turns situations around from ordinary to extra-ordinary, up-side-down to down-side-up and from problems to miracles.

All the Bible great characters were ordinary human beings with their fair shares of earthly troubles like us. It was the divine presence occasioned by divine visitations that transformed their lives.

(James 5:17)

Let us not be contented with only talks about the greatness of God’s power, let us desire divine visitation to experience and demonstrate the reality of God’s power with our lives. Every area of challenges in our lives is an invitation for divine visitation.

LET US PRAY

1. Thank you Lord, for creating us to walk in partnership with you and carry your presence on our lives.

2. We apologize to you for not allowing the fullness of your power in our lives before now.

3. Dear Lord, come over and take over fully in our lives.

4. Turn all stumbling blocks to stepping stones and problems to solutions and miracles in Jesus name.

5. Ps.63:1, Dear father, we are hungry and thirsty for your power and glory in our dry land, come to us in Jesus name.

6. Ps.61:2, We want to experience your presence, your power and your glory, do not deny us, oh lord.

7. We present ourselves as empty vessels, fill us to over-flowing with your anointing oh Lord.

8. Father, release your power upon me and let it touch every part of my being; spirit, soul and body in Jesus name.

9. Dear Lord, I believe your word that without you, I can do nothing and that with your presence; I shall do greatly. Release the power for exploits upon me, oh Lord.

10. Change my ordinariness to extra-ordinary and my natural life to super-natural in Jesus name.

11. The world must see your glory,  fill my life that I may show-case your glory to them in the highest proportion, o Lord.

12. I covet the grace you released upon Gideon in Judges chapter 6, release same upon me in order to go and deliver the people of my generation

13. I covet and request for the grace you released upon Peter in Luke chapter 5 which changed his fruitlessness to abundant, repeat same upon my life oh Lord.

14. We decree that no more failure in all our endeavors from now in Jesus name.

15. Arise oh Lord in my life and let your enemies be scattered.

16. I arise and shine, spiritually, ministerially and financially in Jesus name.

Closing session for the day:

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR SATURDAY 22ND JANUARY 2022: LET THERE BE LIGHT VI

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR SATURDAY 22ND JANUARY 2022: LET THERE BE LIGHT VI

THEME:  LET THERE BE LIGHT VI.

MEMORISE:

But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.  Acts 9:40

READ: John 11:41-44.

41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

MESSAGE:

Let there be light could mean “Let darkness, which also represents death, disappear”. Jesus the Light and the Life drives away darkness from anyone who identifies with Him, as found in our Bible reading today where we see the Light of God in action- driving away the darkness of death in the life of Lazarus who had been dead for four days. When death looms, darkness prevails; the only solution is to invite light to disperse darkness. Therefore, if anyone is being plagued with the fear of death, such a fellow should invite the light.

“ Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” John 11:25

The above Scripture confirms Matthew 4:16, which says, “The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.” Death is the most devastating symbol of darkness. The Psalmist was right in describing it as “the valley of the shadow of death”. The good news he announces is that the Lord is his Shepherd; therefore, he fears no evil. We must take a cue after the Psalmist if we want to overcome the darkness of death. Jesus Christ- the Light is the answer.

When the darkness of death came visiting the household of Lazarus, the Light was invited. Even when it seemed the light was delayed, resulting in the death of Lazarus, the Light overtook death in spite of its running away with the life of Lazarus for four days.

One of my sons-in-the-Lord was running helter-skelter on being told that his days were up and that he should be prepared to die. He however, came to the Light and up till now, he is bouncing with life- darkness was driven away when we reported its activities to the Light.

Are you experiencing any form of darkness or death in any area of your life? Come to Jesus Christ the Light, surrender all to Him and the darkness would leave you alone.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please deliver me and my household from the jaws of death, in the mighty name of Jesus.

HYMNAL: CONQUERORS AND OVERCOMERS NOW ARE WE.

1  Conquerors and overcomers now are we,

Thro’ the precious blood of Christ we've victory,

If the Lord be for us, we can never fail;

Nothing 'gainst his mighty pow'r can e'er prevail.

Refrain:

Conquerors are we, thro’ the blood, thro’ the blood;

God will give us victory, thro’ the blood, thro’ the blood,

Thro’ the Lamb for sinners slain,

Yet who lives and reigns again,

More than conquerors are we,

More than conquerors are we.

2  In the name of Israel's God we'll onward press,

Overcoming sin and all unrighteousness;

Not to us, but unto him the praise shall be,

For salvation and for blood-bought victory.

3  Unto him that overcometh shall be giv’n

Here to eat of hidden manna sent from heav'n;

Over yonder he the victor's palm shall bear,

And a robe of white, and golden crown shall wear.

FOCUS: DIVINE VISITATION FOR PROMOTING UNITY THAT ENGENDERS                          REVIVAL

TEXT: EPH. 4:1-16, ACTS 2:1-41, 2 CHR. 5:13-14

INSPIRATIONAL WORDS FOR EFFECTIVE AND FERVENT  PRAYERS

What the church needs today is not “mere religious jamboree(s) or programmes (as it is being done in many circles today) “so that the Gospel is made convenient for the sinners” all these are human reasonings’ and doings. Definitely, such will not stand the test of eternity.

What the church actually needs today is Divine Visitation from Heaven. Jeremiah said “Therefore the showers have been withholden and there hath been no latter rain …..” Will thou not from this time cry unto me, My Father, thou art the guide of my youth…. Will he reserve his anger for ever?” (Jer 3:3). We have long been without visitation from Heaven.

A visitation that sends both errings, and lukewarm believers and sinners on their knees; pleading for mercy- I mean Divine conviction, that brings true restoration and conversion. We need Holy Ghost Visitation, starting with the church, from where true and lasting revival will break out.

This will bring about thorough purging that the church needs today from every overt and covert iniquities-starting with the Ministers, then to other members of the Body.

Lack of transparent and honest life, traces of pride, (both spiritual and physical) selfishness, arrogance, filthiness of life, loss of purposeful living and loss of flaming passion for Christ’s cause and the perishing, are the bane of this hour.

There is need for Revival Fire to burn off all that hinders DIVINE FLOW in and through us. A divine manifestation of TRUE and UNFEIGNED LOVE in us and the DISCERNING of the Body of Christ will plunge us into the realm of the Super-Supernatural.

It is when the church is awakened from her slumber and alive unto her responsibilities that she will be able to affect the world for Christ. We need God’s Visitation from Heaven, a Divine Revival that will bring sinners flat on their faces, crying for God’s mercy and salvation.

When this happens; the church will once again take up her role as Agent of transformation in a dying world and set the stage for the return of the King.

LET US PRAY

1. Let us thank God for His Provision of warfare, word and worship for our revival and empowerment.

2. Let us also thank God for the enabling power of the spirit that transforms us to His likeness.

3. Father, forgive us in all areas where we had substituted the fire on the altar with the politics of position-seeking in the church.

4. Lord, re-unite your church again and let the cleansing fountain of Your Blood purify us and purge us to offer the sacrifices of righteousness to the Lord (Mal 3:3).

5. Every satanic spirit and strategy of lukewarmness; comfort zone tendency and compromise; be bound and burnt by the Holy Ghost fire.

6. Father, restore and rekindle the fire on our family and personal altars for the coming harvest of souls.

7. Lord, restore our vision for the perishing world and let there be a godly thirst to see the supernatural power of God at work again in converting the sinners.

8. Father, let all our activities and programmes henceforth be birthed in prayers and deep intercession for the perishing souls.

9. O Lord, ignite a new flame of love within our hearts and purify our hearts for a perfect and complete obedience to Your word in Jesus Name.

10. Father, help me to always desire Your word more than my physical food, and quicken Your word for performance in me O Lord.

11. O Lord, let my spiritual understanding be opened to know the hope of my calling and be ready to humbly serve the Body of Christ instead of seeking official position.

12. Father, anoint Your servants more and more for harvest through exploits, signs and wonders in Jesus Name.

13. Let the anointing of unity and agreement in prayers come upon us as was in the days of the early Apostles ( Acts 4:33-37, Acts 12:1-16).

14. Let the divine visitation of God to us bring a glorious habitation of His presence among us.

15. Let climate of grace and favour locate our church for apostolic growth as was evident in Acts 2:47.

16. O Lord, let the divine visitation that engenders revival bring our church to the realm of transformation of our communities.

17. Let us pray that as the GOFAMINT is the church with the Word for the World, the Lord will repackage His word in our mouths for transforming the world.

18. Father in Your mercy, make our GOFAMINT church to be in the forefront of Your souls harvest agenda in these end times.

19. As we commit ourselves to glorious revival O Lord, let there be a supernatural strength and unity among the ministers and workers and we shall not break our ranks (Joel 2:7)

20. Let us begin to worship God that His glory and His presence will envelope us for sustenance of the coming revival.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR FRIDAY 21ST JANUARY 2022: LET THERE BE LIGHT V

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR FRIDAY 21ST JANUARY 2022: LET THERE BE LIGHT V

THEME: LET THERE BE LIGHT V

MEMORISE:

O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea: Isaiah 48:18

READ: Philippians 4:6-7.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

MESSAGE:

Let there be light could mean let there be peace. There is, however, a link between having the peace of God and obedience to His commandments, as we see in our memory verse today.

One of the commandments which some people may not recognize is in Matthew 11:29 where Jesus Christ commands that we should learn of Him so that we may find rest (peace) for our souls. This is very important because Romans 10:17 also says “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Also, there are categories of peace. We have regular peace (Isaiah 45:7), great peace (Psalm 119:165), all-round peace (1 Kings 4:24) and peace like a river (Isaiah 48:18).

A question that then comes to mind is, “who gives peace at whatever level?”. The answer is simple: God is the Giver of peace. He gives peace through His Son Jesus Christ- the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6), this is why Apostle Peter prayed for the Church, saying “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7). The preceding verse says, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” In other words, before you can have the peace of God, you must learn to trust Him, and you cannot trust the One you do not know or accept as your all in all. In addition, you cannot talk of praising and honoring Him as you should.

On this note, I encourage you to seek the Father of lights (James 1:17) and I m confident that you will find Him as promised in Proverbs 8:17.

Do you wat the peace of God to reign in your life? Come to the Father of lights today through His Son Jesus Christ- the Prince of Peace. Confess your sins and if you have done before, decide to live a sinless life from now. May the light of God that brings peace beam over you and all that concerns you, in Jesus’ name.

ACTION POINT:

Meditate on 2 Corinthian 6:14-18; step out of everything that represents darkness and come to Jesus Christ- the Light, today.
