SERAP condemns attack by armed thugs on #EndSARS protesters in Osun, resulting in deaths and injuries

 A non governmental oraganisation, the Socio Economic Right Accountability Project (SERAP) has condemned the attacks by the state sponsored armed thugs on EndSars protesters on Osun state.


The attacks both by the armed thugs and by the state governor resulting in deaths and injuries are condemnable, the organisation said.

In Osogbo the state capital, the armed thugs have been severally attempting to attack and ntimmidate the protesters since Thusday when the state Governor Mr Gboyega Oyetola failed to keep to his words to meet the protesters on Wednesday.

The governor who eventually met the protesting youths on Saturday evening while leaving in hurry because of the fear of unknown without answering convincingly any of their questions was stoned.

SERAP called on United Nations, international communities and Nigeria's pertners to prevail on authorities in the country to stop attacks on the innocent and armless protesting youths.

One of those killed has been identified as Mutiu Lateef.
