Press Release :'LP Guber Candidate Tawfiq Akinwale did NOT request or receive any amount from the Oyo State OBIDATTI rally money

This is to inform the general public that the rumor being peddled around by the Oyo State Labour Party Treasurer that the Gubernatorial Candidate of Labour Party, Oyo State Hon. Tawfiq Tayo Akinwale received the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (300,000) from the OBIDATTI rally fund *is unfounded, misleading, and false.*

This is another failed attempt to tarnish the image and bring disrepute to the integrity of the gubernatorial candidate who *was not* in any way involved in the disbursement or allocation of the rally funds as he was completely excluded by the DG of Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Committee, Dr. Doyin Okupe during the planning and execution of the rally who handed over the money to the State Chairman.

To set the record straight, Hon. Tawfiq Tayo Akinwale did *NOT* request or receive any amount from the OBIDATTI rally money.

As a result of the false accusations sponsored around, the Gubernatorial Candidate, Hon. Tawfiq Tayo Akinwale will therefore lodge an official complaint to the EFCC to investigate the disbursed funds and how it was spent for proper accountability and most importantly clearing the guber of any false claims capable of tarnishing his integrity and contentment.
