GSSS Students kidnapped in Kastina, AAC says Buhari led APC government must resigned

At least 600 out of 800 students of Govt Science Secondary School, Kankara in Katsina State are missing, following attack by armed bandits on Friday night.

Nigeria president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari is presently in Daura,  Katsina State on a week long visit.

A source confirming the kidnapping said, Students kidnapped from a school in Katsina, adding that the entire event lasted about 2 hours with shooting sporadically.

"For hours a school was terrorised and nothing happened. Gives you an idea of how secure Nigeria is."

Meanwhile, African Action Congress (AAC) has said the failed regime of Buhari led APC government must resigned, calling on Nigerians to demand as such.

In its reactions to the sad incident, @aacparty tweeted: "Do we still need to remind Nigerians that @OfficialAPCNg & @MBuhari have not only failed Nigerians woefully but do not also have solutions to our numerous challenges. We woke up to another sad news of dozens of GSSS Students kidnapped by bandits from their dormitories in Kankara."

"The fact that bandits could strike while @MBuhari is in Kastina is a testimony that @MBuhari regime has completely failed in it primary responsibility of securing lives and properties."

"If Nigerians do not demand the resignation of the @OfficialAPCNg regime under incompetent @MBuhari with this rate of kidnappings and killings, there might be no one to govern come 2023. We all need to rise and demand the immediately resignation of this bloodletting regime."

On the kidnapped students, it was learnt that the bandits had operated at the Kankara town where they abducted some people before finally invading the boarding school at about 10:00 pm Friday.

The incident, according to a source, forced the remaining students, who survived the invasion, to vacate the school in the night as parents were said to be busy searching for their children up till Saturday morning.
The bandits riding on motorcycles, according to a credible source in the school, came in large numbers and started shooting sporadically.

He said: “They abducted many of our students who were inside their hostels. I cannot say how many people were kidnapped, but they went away with many students.

“As we speak this morning (Saturday), our remaining students have left the school and their parents are here with us trying to know their whereabouts,” a source said.

The emergency of Buhari since 2015 has only compounded the situations Nigeria both in security and economy as government has no specific and cogent direction as well as solutions to any issue in the country.
