Italian PM blames one outbreak of #coronavirus on hospital as new case recorded in the South of Italy

Italy's prime minister has blamed the management of a hospital in northern Italy for one outbreak of the coronavirus.

Giuseppe Conte told an Italian TV station late on Monday that hospital management had failed to follow protocols for dealing with the virus but did not name the institution.

Italian authorities have announced on Tuesday the first positive coronavirus case in the South of Italy. A woman from Bergamo, who was on holiday with her friends in Sicily, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The World Health Organisation are arriving this morning in Italy to discuss management and containment of the virus with Italian officials.

Italian newspapers have so far reported 7 deaths and 231 confirmed cases.
