The Secrete with General TY Danjuma that Nigerians Must Know

General TY Danjuma (Rtd)
Majority of the Nigeria's former military officers and the heads of state, especially those that involved in the coup and counter coup of 1966 and subsequent ones, with their lineage still in charge of the country till today have so many secretes to share with Nigerians nor matter how worst.

These secretes may as well assist the people of the most populous black nation on earth to get it right.

But a former Minister of Defence, retired General Theophilus Danjuma has said if he dare reveals what is happening in the country, Nigerians will no longer sleep as reported by Daily Trust

It should be noted that General T.Y. Danjuma led the counter coup that assassinated the then military head of state and the then military Governor of the old western region in Ibadan, Gen. J. T. U. Aguyi Irosin and General Adekunle Fajuyi.

This counter coup installed Gen. Yakubu Gowon as the then new head of state,  who was not the most senior officer as at then. followed by a 30 months civil war.

They need to relay speak out on many of the evils and goods which they have inflicted on this country and her people.

It was the caucus of these generals who united to nullified the June 12th 1993 election and  eventually killed the acclaimed winner Chief M.K.O Abiola and eventually installed their own Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo.

Currently, the lawless Major Gen Muhammadu Buhari is daily doing everything possible to crippled the rules of law with his fragrant disobedient to the court orders and unlawful detentions of dissenting voices. This is because the government has failed to delivered on most of the electoral promises and propaganda have failed as well. The last presidential election was just a facade compared to 2015 elections that brought him to power.

Corruptions remained unchecked, Ministry officers legally demanding for bribes according to UN agency reports, Boko Haram are currently taking over some local government in the North East, with the Borno Governor begging the military to enable the state regain access to some local government areas.

The so called repentant Boko Haram are reportedly been enlisted into the Nigerian Army to justified the the insinuation that 'Buharis' are the one in charge of the terror group indeed.

Danjuma spoke yesterday at the University of Ibadan during the launch of a book, 70 Years of Progressive Journalism: The Story of the Nigerian Tribune and the presentation of Tribune’s Platinum Awards.

He stated: “In Yorubaland, everybody seems to have lost their voice, scared. And people appear not to care about what is happening. If I tell you what I know that is happening in Nigeria today, you will no longer sleep.

“So, Chief Ayo Adebanjo’s warning and advice is very timely. If you want details, I will give it to you privately. “We are in a big hole as nation. And people who put us in this hole have continued today. So, we’ve to wake up. Only we can save ourselves. “The fifth columnists’ activities going on among your people are not helping matters. May Almighty God continue to bless this country, but only we can save ourselves from ourselves.”

Earlier, Adebanjo, an Afenifere leader, had raised the alarm that Yorubaland was in danger, saying “We’ve been submerged.” He said only few governors in the southwest “are responsible for us.

They’ve shut down. They cannot face the head of state because of their own shortcomings. “Buhari is not ruling the country. He wants to dominate us. I don’t mince words about it. There’s tyranny in the country.

There’s anarchy. When the Head of State said there’s no respect for the rule of law, where are the lawyers? The moment there’s no respect for the rule of law, there’s no government again, there’s anarchy.”

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, said Boko Haram had not been technically defeated as claimed by the Federal Government. The monarch also kicked against the Hate Speech Bill before the Senate.

Past military general stole the country to the marrow and they and their cronies among the civilians are still not ready to go with their divide and rules most especially among the poor and jobless youths.

Those who have been gainfully employed in whatever any capacity become an agents of these leaders and not of the state, most especially the uniformed men in military and para-military apparatus of the state.

Omoyele sowore who called for a revolution of consciousness and good governance has been illegally remanded with Buhari's presidency acting above the law.

The APC dominated National Assembly can not be seen as a check to the executive lawlessness as members are already introducing Hate Speech Bill and Social Media Control Bill which will further empower the government disregard for the rules of law and respect for the rights of the citizens.

A former Senator of the Federal Republic, Senator Shehu Sani has challenged General Danjuma to speak up following recent statement at Tribunal's Anniversary book launch.

He was quoted as saying: To say Nigeria is sitting on many fault lines is an understatement. Every passing day we tend to get more divided despite many calls to mend fences, and get along as a truly united country. But then, even the much talked about 'unity' is said to have been an old scam meant to hold a particular part of the country, hostage.

The country is wrapped in secrecy so much that our current struggles as a nation, feels justifiable. But truth they say, no matter how long it's buried, will surely come out. And that's exactly what Nigeria is current experiencing.

Side talks aside, our old folks are finally beginning to spill the beans albeit subtly. We've had the likes of Obasanjo, Babangida and Gowon speak on national issues more often than usual, but the latest to send ripples across the social media space is General Theophilus Danjuma who is heavily part of Nigeria's chaotic history especially during the military era.

Sani in a reaction on Twitter, called on Danjuma to 'spill the 'ordourous, putrid Beans' and let the country burn if it may, rather than keeping secrets while the country suffers.

He said, "Dear Baba Gen TY,spill the ordourous, putrid Beans so that the snoring slumberland ‘will be awakened’ by the insomnia of its truth and of its reality."
