@JimInhofe The President is not going to be removed from office – period. The House’s action is nothing more than a political sham – one that the vast majority of Oklahomans and I are sick and tired of.

"Nothing speaks to the political motivation of this action more that speaker Nancy Pelosi recent admission that she and the Democrats have been working to impeach the president for more than two and a half year." Oklahomans Senator said.

He pointed out in his statement that the Washington Post first reported about liberal efforts to impeach the president just 19 minutes afterhe was inaugurated and it has been a steady drumbeat since.
He also enumerates the performance of Trump administration.

His Full statement:

President Donald Trump has become only the third US president to be impeached by the House of Representatives. The historic move means the US leader, who earlier raged against the bid by calling it a “scam” and an “attempted coup,” will now face a Senate trial next month.

Members of the Democratic-led House debated two articles of impeachment against the president all day before approving the first charge of abuse of power with 229 votes for to 196 against. On the first article of impeachment, “abuse of power,” Democrats voted 228–2, Republicans voted 0–195, and the one independent member of Congress voted for impeachment.

The final vote on the first article of impeachment was 230–197–1. The vote on the second article of impeachment, “obstruction of Congress,” concluded with even more Democrats defecting from their party and voting against impeachment.

The vote on the second article of impeachment is Democrats voted 227–3, Republicans voted 0–178, and the one independent member of Congress voted for impeachment.
