Momentum in physics taught under Newtonian Mechanics in my undergraduate class is the product (multiplication) of the mass and velocity of an object. It is a vector quantity, possessing a magnitude and a direction.
Let me explain it better, the organic growth and support for Peter Obi are vector quantities gaining traction daily, growing in size and magnitude. Three months ago, no one gave Peter Obi any chance at all, some claimed Labour Party has no structure, some alluded to the fact that its just a social media stuff. But in few months Nigerians are in euphoric state now with support for Obi-Datti growing nationwide in all nooks and crannies
Now that folks have seen the appreciable positive progress made in the last few months, some are asking if the massive turnouts during the rallies will traslate to victory and if the supporters have their PVC's, some went further and also claimed the rallies are in urban centres that rural dwellers do not know anything about Peter Obi or the Labour Party, but little I know folks who are rural dwellers are also abreast with events in the country and will join the train also
If we apply Newtonian Mechanics. For a constant mass, force is equal to the product of mass and acceleration. The Obidients are the critical mass ,it will keep growing and the support will become more potent. The question you all should ask, what are the factors (velocity) driving the growth among the youths and the commoners. Few of them; economic displacement, despondency, marginalisation, the widening gap between the haves and have nots.
From 1999 till date, Nigerians knew that the combined APC and PDP platforms foisted poverty, misery and calamity on them and the only way they can respond is through the ballot, by voting for a new party as it is done elsewhere and seek for a new vista from 29th May 2023. We are all waiting with bated breath and will see how it all pans out in the next few months
