In Isa.43:18-19 - God is saying we should forget the old things and open our eyes to the reality of a new thing (New Nigeria) he is creating. This is to call for a season of prayer and fasting from all Obedient family nation wide.
If we can't birth a new Nigeria in the supernatural, then our dream of a new Nigeria will never be realized in the natural realm. Thus, this prayer and fasting is urged upon all of us Obidients to take the battle to the supernatural so that the victory will be on our side. Therefore, the New Nigeria Mandate hereby proposes a day of prayer & fasting tomorrow to add a spiritual dimension to our quest for a New Nigeria.
The Prayer & Fasting is scheduled for Wednesday 5th Oct. 2022 from 6am - 6pm.
Prayer points and scriptures for our Christian members are as follows:
1. Read- Dan. 9:1-10
= make confession and repentance on behalf of the nation and its leaders since independence till date.
= Let us repent from the hatred, Disobedience to the constitution, tribalism, corruption, greed, etc. that has characterized our nationhood since inception.
= Lets repent from the abuse and misconduct by our public and private officers trusted with the task of managing our resources from the begining till now
= Let us repent from our religious hippocracy and return to the Lord.
2. Read- Psalm 133;
= Lets thank God for keeping Nigeria united despite the forces that have been promoting disunity
= Give God thanks for frustrating and hindering those handling the national interest as their private estate
= Thank God for the abundant natural and human resources this country is blessed with
= Thank you father,
for the leaders you have chosen to rule over us in this land, take over their lives and rule them for us in Jesus' name
3. Read - Dan. 4:17;
= Oh Lord, let your will be done concerning the 2023 elections. Let the person ordained by heaven be given the leadership of this nation in Jesus' name
= Father in
heaven, raise godly men in this land and make them instruments of revival and restoration in Jesus’ name
= We pull down
all the strongholds of corruption, greed, favoritism, and religious
hatred erected against our progress, in the
name of
Jesus.
4. Read- Luke 1:51-53;
= Oh Lord, scatter the proud that imagined that Nigeria is their private estate in the name of Jesus
= Father, let the mighty be brought down from their seat, and let the humbled be lifted to occupy the seats
= Let those that have now, be sent away empty handed without any vote in 2023
5. Read- Psalm 121;
= Oh keeper of Israel who does not sleep nor slumber, keep your servants Peter Obi & Yusuf Datti from any form of danger in Jesus name
= Whoever set a trap or dig a pit for our candidate, let them fall in their own pit
= As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so let God's presence surround LP candidates
6. Read- Mat.18:19;
= Oh lord, we hereby agree concerning peter Obi's candidature and desire that this be established for us by your power in Jesus name
= With one voice we agree today, let Peter Obi be our next president
= Let us also pray for our national chairman of Ifeagachi/New Nig. Mandate to be strengthened by God to lead us to the victorious end of this quest for a new Nig. Pray that God will protect the high chief from evil men.
= Pray for NNM leaders nation wide to discharge their duty effectively in Jesus name
7. Read- John 14:27;
= Let your peace prevail over Nigeria during this election season in Jesus' name.
Please read the scriptures and pray the above prayer points at any opportuned time during this fasting period. Read out audibly these scriptures and prayer points not less than times during this fasting. Note that this is the first time Nigerians are declaring a spiritual warfare during elections. Join this fasting and be part of history making.
God has promised that if we can humble ourselves, turn away from our sins, and seek him, he will hear us and heal our land.
Lets give birth to a new Nigeria at the place of prayer.
