Against heavy security presence both at the venue of the takeoff of the rally and in many jountions and strategic places of the Osunbstate capital, thousands of the youths under the aegis of Omo Oduduwa United stormed the streets of Osogbo to agitate for the Yoruba nation.
The security operatives eventually vacated the freedom park, the venue if the convergence for the rally.
There are some of the protesters who converged on November 27 bridge in the Africa area, Osogbo for the protest as many also joined from other areas as well as those that joined from other south west states.
Sunday Adeyemo popularly called GBOHO and his entourages also graced the rally.
They marched from the November 27 bridge through Ogo-Oluwa, Aregbe junction, Fakunle, Ola-Iya and Odi Olowo areas.
The protesters carried placards, banners chanting secession songs and distributing handbills to people along the streets.
The protest maintained that agitations for self determination is a fundamental rights.
They are heading to Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Old Garage.
The charters of the United Nations, Africa Union and ECOWAS, of which Nigeria is a member, give the people the right to self determination and to have a voice on how they would like to be governed.
Acting within the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which guarantees freedom of expression and association, a self-determination rally is therefore not a crime.
