#ENDSARS MOVEMENT: THE BLOOD OF THE MASSACRED PROTESTERS STILL DRIPPING AS THE ILL-TREATMENT OF WORKERS, BIKERS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE END TO OYETOLA REIGN OF TERROR!

The Osun#ENDSARS Movement has in  Press Release Friday condemned the Oyetola led state government as the group described the nature of the current administration as despotic and arrogant, increasingly annoying and worrisome.

According to the statement, the group which is demanding accountabilities and good governance from the APC led government said the calculated and wicked attacks on the workers of Osun State is shameful and too loathsome for an entity who still wants to retain the right to be called a government.

"It's quite unfortunate and sad to think that after working for 10 years without promotion, or should we say the kangaroo promotion that was effected sometimes ago that has no effect in the salary structure; which means workers in the state are still collecting the same salary they were collecting about ten years ago despite the level of inflation, constant increase in the prices of goods and services, constant hike in fuel, and other state imposed and orchestrated extortion. "

*THE BLOOD OF THE MASSACRED PROTESTERS STILL DRIPPING AS THE ILL-TREATMENT OF WORKERS, BIKERS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE END TO OYETOLA REIGN OF TERROR!*

The despotic and arrogant nature of this present government is becoming increasingly annoying and worrisome. The calculated and wicked attacks on the workers of Osun State is shameful and too loathsome for an entity who still wants to retain the right to be called a government. It's quite unfortunate and sad to think that after working for 10 years without promotion, or should we say the kangaroo promotion that was effected sometimes ago that has no effect in the salary structure; which means workers in the state are still collecting the same salary they were collecting about 10years ago despite the level of inflation, constant increase in the prices of goods and services, constant hike in fuel, and other state imposed and orchestrated extortion.

It is nothing but sheer wickedness to subject the people of Osun to this kind of callous, indurated and decorated style of slavery and servitude. And it is equally insulting and mocking to compel and threaten the workers to come out of their offices to either sing the praises of Mr Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, who feast large on our collective commonwealth but feed the workers with crunches in return; or loose their job. This height of hypocrisy greatly owe to the recent fraudulent 5% increase in the basic salary of workers from level 7 and beyond. By implication, the workers under the paltry pay of #15,000 now will have just #750 added to only their basic salary, this is sadly what Mr Governor wants to be worshipped for. We hereby reject this fraudulent and enslaving mode of payment, and demand an increasing review in the salaries and allowances of Osun State workers, within the next 7-working days.

We therefore have every reason to believe that the Gboyega Oyetola led-administration derive unfathomable pleasure in inflicting pains and hardship on its citizens. It becomes a matter of great concerns to hear another callous imposition of N10,000 registration levy and N5,000 jacket cost for the Okada riders in the states. Although the government has reportedly denied imposing such heinous registration fee, but still quiet on the ridiculous and outrageous sum of N5,000 for just a jacket. We propose that if at all a jacket must be introduced, we reject any form of extortion that might arise in this purported jacket which should not be more than N1,000. Rumour also has it that no bikes are henceforth allowed after 8pm, this would be another policy that the government would have taken without considering the comfort of the people. Their are people who live in certain areas of the state that shuttle bus, "korope" as it is popularly called do not ply. It would only amount to wickedness for people coming from work after 8pm to encounter so much difficulty in transporting themselves home. In this light, we also reject any inconsiderate policy that would ban "Okada" from operating beyond 8pm.

While still mourning our brothers Mutiu Lateef aka Fresh and Halimi Olamilekan Ahmed who met their death by the misadventures of Mr Governor, Gboyega Oyetola whose sorrowful intervention on Saturday, 17th of October, 2020., led to the untimely death of our brothers. We received the shocking news that the government that have always denied the death of any protesters have secretly arranged with some of their money driven boot-lickers, who neither have respect for human lives nor know its value, to give each family of the victims N500,000 each. After our careful inquiry, we spoke to the pregnant wife of one of the deceased who revealed to us that only N140,000 out of the supposed embarrassing amount of N500,000 was given to her. What a pregnant woman with a kid who just lost her husband will do with N140,000? How can that be enough to be a father and a husband? How can that even raise both kids and sustain the the family? These are the sad questions all #EndSars protesters in Osun are asking the government. A brother to the other victim acknowledged only hearing about such money but has not even received a dime.

We hereby demand;

a) That the sum of N10 million be given to each family of the victims,

b) The children and siblings of the deceased be put under an unconditional scholarship of the state government,

c) That the government write a public apology, for dishouring and insulting the dead and the youth of Osun for pulling such a dirty stunt and offering such an embarrassing amount.

d) Call all political thugs who carry out dirty and criminal activities with the help of security operatives in the state, to order, as the youth would no longer take likely any violation of their fundamental rights.

e) Failure to addressed the aforementioned demands within 7-working days, Mr Governor Gboyega Oyetola, should resign and allow for more competent and humane style of leadership govern the virtuous "Ipinle Omoluabi"

Conclusively, it is so petty of the state government to think the youths and the #EndSARS Movements Osun will stop agitating for their rightful course by bribing and buying some money-driven individuals to announce the end of protest they never started. Also, it is so disgraceful that this government in several of their public releases called the peaceful youths and protesters of Osun State hoodlums who want to breach public peace, and think this cheap blackmail they are selling in the media would stop the determined youths of Osun to demanding for accountability and good governance. Our peaceful protest will continue even though no protesters would mount road blocks for now and no movements of motorists would be restricted given that the government has insensitively imposed curfew  for days which has affected a lot of people and businesses. We hereby warn the government of Osun to lift the curfew totally and not subject the people to such a harsh and inconsiderate move henceforth in a bid to blackmail the peaceful agitators in the state. Our revolutionary train has already set, and we won't stop until we achieve, justice, equity fairness, and freedom. A people united can never be defeated. Viva Aluta!✊🏼
