CALLS FOR INVESTIGATION INTO OJOO MASSACRE ON TUESDAY 20 OCTOBER, 2020 AND JUSTICE FOR THE DECEASED
DEMANDS FOR CORPSES OF SLAINED PERSONS WITH COMPENSATIONS
DISASSOCIATE SELVES FROM IMPERSONATORS
CALLS FOR SPECIAL INVESTIGATION OVER OGBOMOSO KILLINGS
I salute the courage and doggedness of Nigerian Youths (particularly in Oyo State) the #EndSARS peaceful protest that lasted for 12 days to demand an end to SARS (Special Anti-Robbery Squad), police brutality and bad governance in Nigeria.
During the peaceful mass action, Nigerian Youths trooped out en masse to answer the clarion call to end oppression, intimidation and victimization by different level of government agencies. The people’s movement (#EndSARS Movement) has come to stay as a platform for the Nigerian Youths to express their anger and grievances through “Protests” and with that spirit of togetherness, our voices is being heard and the time has come to channel our energy in the struggle for a New Nigeria.
JUDICIAL INVESTIGATION ON OJOO MASSACRE ON TUESDAY 20 OCTOBER, 2020 AND JUSTICE FOR THE DECEASED
Tuesday October 20, 2020 was a “sad day” in the history of Nigeria, it’s really a BLACK TUESDAY because here in Oyo State capital Ibadan, peaceful protesters were also massacred at OJOO DIVISIONAL POLICE COMMAND HEADQUARTER. Lives of Nigerian Youths were wasted by security agents when the police turned the peaceful protest into a bloody protest, men of the police force shot periodically at peaceful protesters killing many Oyo State citizens in the process, some of the wounded protesters are still in various hospitals receiving treatment.

RELEASE OF DECEASED CORPSES IN CUSTODY OF SECURITY AGENCY AND APPROPRIATE COMPENSATION FOR THE DECEASED
We charge the governor to look into the matter of Ogbomosho killings, the killings must be investigated and the corpses of the demised should be released to their family for proper burial. The culprit should be sanctioned and also face the wrath of law. We demand justice for demised patriots who lost their lives for exercising their fundamental human right to protest at the state capital Ibadan and Ogbomosho. We demand appropriate compensation for the family of victims (both dead and wounded) of police brutality on Tuesday 20 October, 2020.
CHOOSING OF YOUTH REPRESENTATIVES - JUDICIAL PANEL ON VICTIMS OF POLICE BRUTALITY
We urge Oyo State Governor to use a transparent process of selecting the youths’ representatives. The selection process should not in any way be politicized to ensure the youths are properly and adequately represented. The progress of Oyo is in our mind.
WE DISASSOCIATE OURSELVES FROM IMPERSONATORS
It has also come to our notice that there are allegations that a group of people presented themselves as the Youth Representatives in Oyo State, held a meeting with the officers of the state government at the Oyo state secretariat on the 27th October, 2020 and were given certain amount of money by a representative of the State government.
We want to use this medium to disassociate our movement from those people and to reassure the people of Oyo State that we shall never compromise or waiver in our commitment to a new Nigeria.
Aluta Continua! Victoria Ascerta!
Signed
Com. Emiola Solomon
State Coordinator
