The Nigerian Air Force under the auspices of Operation Rattle Snake 3 has destroyed some key leaders of the Boko Haram Terrorists at Alafa Yagayaga on the fringes of the Sambisa Forest in Borno State. TVC reported

Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola said fighter jets dispatched by the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole obliterated a compound in the settlement where the leaders had assembled for a meeting.

He explained that the air strike was executed on the heels of credible intelligence reports indicating that the Terrorist leaders had converged at the target compound for a meeting over the weekend.

The NAF pledged to sustain its air campaign to shape the battlespace in the Northeast for the effective conduct of further ground and air operations.
