Nigerian Troops foil Boko Haram attack in Yobe

The troops of the Nigerian Army fighting insurgency in the north east, have foiled attempted attack by the Boko Haram terrorists, along Gashua road in Damaturu, Yobe state. Channelstv reported.

Locals who spoke to ChannelsTV, said the insurgents were sighted around 5.00pm on Sunday, along Babangida town, the headquarters of Tarmuwa local government and advancing to the state capital.

Lt. Chinonso Oteh, acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Sector 2, Operation Lafiya Dole, confirmed that the planned attacks were repelled.
