IDF says its fighter jets attack Hamas terror targets in the southern Gaza Strip

Israeli defense forces (IDF) confirmed that its fighter jets  attacked Hamas terror targets in the southern Gaza Strip.

ISA production site used by Hamas' military arm was attacked by the Israeli forces. the army said in a statement.

IDF: "A short time ago, IDF fighter jets attacked Hamas terror targets in the southern Gaza Strip. During the attack, an ISA production site used by Hamas' military arm was attacked. From the Gaza Strip towards Israel's territory today."


"The IDF sees very rigorously any terrorist activity toward Israeli territory, is in high readiness for a variety of scenarios, and will continue to act as required against attempts to harm Israeli civilians."

Earlier before the military operation, IDF said alarm was activated in the city of Netivot and in the Gaza Strip and that the details are under review. Three rackets launched from the Gaza Strip to Israeli territory were identified.

The Army had earlier in a statement said three months ago, sea arm forces, in collaboration with GSS forces, thwarted the attempt to smuggle weapons into the Gaza Strip from the northern area of the Sinai Strip.

The naval control unit located the suspected smuggler and directed the Fighters 916 fighters and sea arm fighter unit to it. Following the chase, the vessel was arrested and two terrorist operatives transferred to the USSR investigation. The investigation by the terrorists revealed that the weapons were intended to be used by Hamas terrorist commandos.

IDF said such killings help prevent the continued arming of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, and directly damage the capabilities of the Hamas naval commando.
