The pro-government demonstrators burned the British flag in front of the British embassy in Tehran.

Meanwhile in downtown Tehran, Basijis are holding protest rally in front of UK embassy, calling for the closure of the "embassy of treason".

Iran's Foreign Ministry has summoned UK Ambassador @HMATehran over unconventional behavior and his participation in an illegal gathering.

He received Iran's official protest, and was reminded such behaviors are not appropriate for an ambassador. UK gov't also urged to explain.

The UK envoy denied partaking in any protest in Tehran.
