"Grieving nations" to meet in London to discuss compensation for the Ukrainian #planecrash - Foreign minister

Ukraine will attend talks in London with five "grieving nations" to discuss possible legal action against Iran. Ukrainian foreign minister said.

Five nations whose citizens died when the Ukrainian airliner was shot down will meet in London on Thursday to discuss possible legal action, Ukraine FM told Reuters news agency.

Tehran admitted that Iranian forces accidentally hit the plane with a missile strike after firing at an American military base, in retaliation for the killing of IRGC Quds Force Qasem Soleimani by American forces.

Speaking at the sidelines of an official visit to Singapore, Vadym Prystaiko said the countries would also discuss compensation and the investigation into the incident.

He added that the suggestion that the plane flew too close to a sensitive military site is "nonsense."

Ukraine' FM said that Iran has committed to handing over the black boxes found in the wreckage of a Ukrainian passenger jet shot down outside Tehran last week.
