Knesset speaker huddles with Likud, Blue and White before public address

Knesset speaker Yuli Edelstein is meeting with members of Likud and Blue and White’s negotiating teams in a last-ditch effort to end the political deadlock in the country.

Edelstein told reporters earlier that he will make a public address after the meeting.

“The time has come for a responsible adult who will prevent a third election,” he said yesterday after meeting with Netanyahu.

According to a source, Edelstein, attempting to broker an end to the political deadlock, is planned to meet Blue and White party No. 3, MK Moshe Yalon and will deliver a public address at 4:00 pm. 

Following the meeting, Blue and White and Likud negotiation teams will meet at 6:00 pm. 

Blue and White officials say that "we will sit under a prime minister who is under indictment for corruption for one moment, Edelstein has already proposed an outline in the past."
