Hours earlier, Us President Donald Trump backed the proposal to impose sanctions against Turkey over its military operation in northern Syria.
While the United States backed Kurdish forces in Syria as allies in the fight against the Daesh terrorist group, Turkey considers them to be an arm of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). Turkey has classified the PKK as a terrorist organization.
Ankara claims that the operation aimed at clearing the border area of Kurdish militias, creating a security zone and accommodating Syrian refugees there.Source

With all the dispute in Syria which has involved the Turkey resulted in the US restricting Turkish president of visa to travel to the USA. This action has not been the first one coming form the US since it has also restricted visa to Chinese officials as well due to their mistreatment of the Muslim Uighur.
