NIGERIAN ARMY RESOURCE CENTRE: CALL FOR WELL RESEARCHED ORIGINAL ARTICLES FOR PUBLICATION IN THE NIGERIAN ARMY RESOURCE CENTRE JOURNAL (NARC JOURNAL)

The Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) is an established Think-Tank on issues of defence and security. It generates and interrogates ideas concerning developmental and contemporary national and international issues. The NARC Journal is a peer reviewed journal published twice annually. The Journal is a platform for the publication of original scholarly research results, articles conveying ongoing research, reviews of literature and discourses on policy or theoretical issues. The maiden edition of the journal was launched in November 2018, while the second volume came out in September 2019. The release of the next edition is scheduled for 31 March 2020.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ARTICLES

▪ Articles should be divided into introduction, main body, and conclusion.
▪ Articles should have an abstract of not more than 200 words and 5 key words.
▪ Articles should be paged (numbered) consecutively from page 1 to the end. Page 1 should contain the title of the article, author’s full name, address, and status. To enhance blind peer review, page 2 should contain only the title, abstract, key words, and part of the introduction. Also, authors should avoid using expressions that can link them to the article e.g. “As I noted above”, “As I stated elsewhere”.
▪ Articles should not be more than 18 pages of A4 size paper (or not more than 10,000 words) including references, and should be typed, 12 point font size and 1.5 line spacing, Times New Roman.
▪ The citation style should be APA, using in-text citation of authors’ surname, year, and page, e.g. (Johnson, 2017:5) or Johnson (2017:5). In the out-text (compiled references at the end of the article), the author’s surname, initials, year of publication in bracket, title, place of publication, and name of publisher should be provided. For example: Johnson K.B. (2017), Terrorism can be Tamed with Effective Intelligence, Ibadan, Patriotic Publishers Limited.
▪ Diagrams, charts, tables and figures should be placed on separate pages.
▪ Well researched original articles may be submitted by postal (hardcopy) or electronic means (softcopy).
▪ Soft (electronic copies) should be sent via email: [email protected] or [email protected].
▪ Two hard copies be sent to: The Editor, NARC Journal, Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Mambilla Barracks, Off Maitama Avenue, Asokoro, Abuja, Nigeria.
