Lavrov: Russian and Turkish military are in constant communication about the situation in northeastern Syria

Russian Foreign Ministry: Moscow will ask to start immediately a dialogue between the Syrian government and the Kurds

The Armed groups backed by Turkey have taken control of the village of Tel Fender east of Tel Abyad

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday that Moscow would ask for talks between the government of the Syrian regime and the Turks, the Russian news agency reported.

Commenting on the Turkish operation in Syria , Lavrov said that his country understands Ankara's concern, but that the matter should be settled "taking into account the interests of Damascus."

He also stressed that Russia encourages dialogue between Damascus and the Turkish government, stressing at the same time that "the establishment of dialogue between Damascus and the Kurds

The Russian minister also confirmed on Wednesday that Moscow calls for dialogue between the government of the Syrian regime and the Kurds on the situation in the northeast of the country. "It is important to avoid increasing tension in the Kurdish-controlled areas of Syria," he said.

He also warned of the dangers of Washington sending contradictory signals about a US withdrawal from northern Syria, saying it could "ignite the entire region." He said the Kurds were "deeply concerned" following the US announcement of withdrawing from positions in the region and feared it would "ignite the whole region."

The Kurdish self-administration on Wednesday called on Russia to play the role of "guarantor" in the "dialogue" with Damascus, ahead of Turkey's launch of a military operation against Kurdish fighters in northern Syria

Meanwhile, Turkish special forces moved deep into Syrian territory east of the Euphrates River on the the second day of the attack on Kurdish fighters.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Turkish forces took control of the first village east of the city of Tel Abyad with air and ground cover and continuous attempts to advance west of the city. He added that Turkish commandos entered the village of Bir Asheq, located east of the city of Tel Abyad, where troops are stationed inside houses in the village.

The correspondent of "Arab" that Syrian forces loyal to Turkey announced control of the village of land, west of Tel Abyad.

In the same context, a spokesman for armed factions supported by Turkey told Reuters: We are moving to the front lines where Kurdish fighters are holed up in a border area in northeastern Syria
